Inside a room full of books a young 10 years old boy with black hair black pupils and a tender face is seen reading under a pile of books scattered around everywhere.

'The Dao heart tempering pagoda is about to be completed today I hope I can gain a lot from it.

So I based this trial on seven deadly sins with each sin being 1 stage and further added 3 more stages totaling 10 stages there's another stage where it points out the flaw in your dao heart which I assumed sums up pretty much on how to cultivate the Dao heart.

A guard knock and came in to inform him of a summon from the patriarch.

"Alright lead me to the main hall" casually said Yang wen with a joyous mood.

A group of elders can be seen sitting in different positions in a rectangular shape while in the middle sat a middle age man wearing a white robe with gold lines with black hair sitting calmly indicating that his position is the highest among these groups.

One of the elders suddenly cough and said.

"Patriarch although it's too late to say this I'm still not too keen on using such valuable resources to make something like a Dao heart-tempering pagoda I mean we can always send our young ones to temper their will outside without using our family resources recently our family business isn't going too well due to demon beast outbreak," said Elder Chen with a frown on his face.

Patriarch Yang Guo glances at him calmly and he could understand where he's coming from although the Yang family is prosperous because of the recent outbreak many of their businesses suffered and using such massive resources to make the Pagoda can be called excessive as there are many ways to temper someone dao heart without resources all they need is time to gradually temper themselves but it was his son who asked him so he doesn't have the heart to say no.

Yang Gou would have never thought how valuable this pagoda will be in the coming future.

"Elder Chen don't worry the issue with the demon beast outbreak will be handled and the pagoda is extremely useful to train the younger generations even for us I'm sure it will be helpful," said calmly.

"Second young master request for an audience," said a guard.

"Let him in," said Yang Gou.

Yang wen came in and saw all the elders and his father sitting calmly so he bowed politely and said

"Greetings, Patriarch and elders," said politely

Everyone nods in acknowledgment.

"Little Wen I called you here today to tell you that the Dao heart-tempering Pagoda you've designed has been completed" and he continue

"So I and the elders have thought of setting it up near the training grounds and you can try it right now along with the elders on how effective it is" said as he wave his hand a small pagoda came out and it flew outside the main hall becoming extremely large.

"Yes patriarch I'll try it right away," said as he dash outside the main hall with excitement.

Outside the main hall stood a large pagoda with a sturdy build and runes engraved all over it while it connects to a formation anyone with eyes can see how valuable it is just by the materials used on it.

In front of the Pagoda stood Yang wen as he calmly admire it and slowly walked inside the pagoda.

Slowly Yang wen lost all feeling and woke up.

Inside his room, he stood up and forgot all about the pagoda, and started his usual routine, years passed quickly.

In this world, cultivation is divided into 10 realms.

As years went by Yang wen reached the age to start his cultivation journey and time went quickly

Yang wen quickly reaches the peak of body tempering with the resources of his family.

He ventures outside and experiences many encounters he flaunts his power to his peers and challenges them he quickly defeated many younger generations and visits many places.

After a few more years, he broke through Qi refining realm and bested many of his peers he rarely went back to visit his home except to get resources for his cultivation.

Time passes by and by the time he reaches the foundation realm, he left many of his peers who're still in the Qi refinement realm.

His arrogance grew as no one can beat him in his generation so he travels around the world beating many people and becoming famous.

He once again broke through and reach the golden core realm shocking the world with his fast progress while still having a stable foundation.

Everywhere he went he challenge different genius from different places until many people hated his arrogance as he insulted many people by trash-talking whenever he beats them.

Until one day many of the geniuses he bested came together and ambush him.

A lot of people stabbed him as he stood still with a sneer on his face he said.

"You weaklings, you can't beat me so you gang up on me? Pathetic.

One of the people said with a cruel looked

"Don't blame us, blame your arrogance and pride"

Yang wen stood motionless as he finally died.

Outside the Pagoda, Yang wen was ejected outside as he slowly woke up drowsy.

"Damn everything felt so real the pagoda influence my emotion too much making it swell my pride.' Yang wen said with a bitter tone.

Outside all the elders have calm look on their faces

They too have already experience the pagoda trial and haven't passed stage 1 yet so they expected this outcome.

Patriarch Yang Gou came next to Yang wen and patted him.

"Little wen wen doesn't be discouraged very few of the elders passed the 1st stage on their first try," said encouragingly.

"I understand father, by the way, how long did I stay inside the pagoda?." Yang Wen asked.

"You've stayed inside for a day meaning 100 years passed inside the trial while only 24 hours passed in the real world," said Yang Gou and continue.

"You should take rest for a day and only enter again after a week if you frequently visit it without any cultivation it's bad for your mind and soul so proper rest is a must."

"I understand father." yang wen acknowledge

As he knows the importance of a good state of mind and that dealing with injuries to the soul is complicated.

'Growl'

A loud noise came from his stomach which made his face turn red from embarrassment.

"hahaha go and have a meal staying inside whole day will indeed make you hungry as you are still a mortal," said Yang Gou while being amused

Yang wen nods and quickly went to have a meal inside his courtyard.
