Weapon from Another World

The boy immediately lights the second bottle and throws it toward the giant monster again. Students immediately ran toward the window and watched the scene with jaws drop. Teachers watch the fight and are shocked. No one dared to blink knowing they would miss the scene.

George : It works.

The spirit inside the boy smiled.

Kuragari : I told ya. They might be immune to magic but that's all they got. They'll never stand a chance against us. If they're immune to magic fire, we'll use the natural fire.

*Flashback*

The boy watches the tree in front of him burning continuously with a jaw drop.

George : (Molotov Cocktail?)

Kuragari : Yea. Back in my world, it was the weapon we used to revolt against the authorities. That's how strong this weapon is. And now, we even mixed other combustible substances so it was stronger and harder to extinguish than from my world.

The boy looks at the bottle he's holding in hand.

George : (Why don't you tell me about this weapon sooner?)

Kuragari : Because... that's a surprise tool that will help us later.

George : (Huh?)

Kuragari : I'm joking. The thing is.... humans in this world are still in the medieval era. This weapon shouldn't be used until after the mechanics industrial revolution era. If not, it was an overpowered weapon.

George : (I don't understand anything. But... is this weapon really dangerous that much? )

Kuragari : It was dangerous enough to change the entire world.

George : (I see. That's the answer I want to hear)

Kuragari : We'll only use this weapon when we face troublesome enemies. But if Oren joins us, we have to teach him too.

*Flashback Ended*

Students and teachers are shocked to witness the scene of a mysterious vigilante burning the giant monster alive.

Louis : Chimera was burning?? Don't tell me.... they actually set the fire to it?

Christina : I see. They used combustible substances.

Carter : That's a simple trick but no one has tried that method to fight Chimeras. This is the first time I see someone actually set the fire to Chimera.

Christina : And they did that instantly. Whoever they are, their intelligence was higher than we expected. They're telling us that killing Dark Mages wasn't the only thing they could. We shouldn't underestimate them anymore.

In the nearby building, the purple haired boy was looking with jaws dropped at the giant monster burning alive.

Oren : (I underestimated them. I thought they just didn't like me and ignored my power. But I'm wrong. My power was nothing compared to theirs. They're out of league. Not just me or the Dark Mages..... but everyone in this world. No one in history has damaged like this to the chimera of this size from range without using magic. But these two, they managed to do that with just two bottles. Just what if they use magical weapons? Nothing could be able to stand a chance against them. Compared to them, I was just a boy playing the hero character. I can't stand beside him. He knows that fact but instead of stating about it, he makes me scared  and hates him. Both of them think about me and don't want to hurt me. They tried their best to protect everyone including me. They weren't playing at all. They've killed numerous Dark Mages and they're still killing them. And I am the only one who knows the truth about them. If I want to help them, I have to become stronger, more mature, and more intelligent.)

Just then, the boy lit another two bottles and threw them toward the giant monster's wings. Bottles broke into pieces and two giant wings started burning.

George : (Wings down. It can't fly anymore. No flying means no escape)

Kuragari : Let's roast that big bastard monster.

George : (You don't have to say that much)

Kuragari : Sorry.

The boy took out other bottles from the other three bags. Then, he lit them and threw them toward the giant monster's head one after one. Each time the bottle hits the giant monster's head and burns more, it roars in pain louder. It even cried from the pain but the flames evaporated the tears before they could even form. After a minute, the giant monster roared for the last time and its head fell to the ground and died. Everyone from the academy loses the ability to say a word. They couldn't believe what they witnessed. The blonde hair girl clenches her fists in frustration.

Charlotte : (I know that they're strong enough to kill Dark Mages every night without failing for once. But, I never thought that they would be this strong. They only used two minutes to slain a Chimera. Just how strong they are? Just who are they? Why don't they show up and ask for rewards? Don't they have any greed? I want to know more. I want to see them. I want to ask them. I'll meet with you before the graduation. If I fail, I'll spend the rest of my life as a commoner. And that wasn't a determination. That was an oath!)

*Meanwhile*

The boy regroups with the purple haired boy who was silently standing with no movements like a statue.

George : Let's go back fast. Others would worry about us.

The purple haired boy snapped back to reality.

Oren : Ohh, right. Charlotte and others would be looking for us right now.

George : Then, don't stand still. Come on.

The boy started running and the purple haired boy followed after him.

*Five Minutes Later*

Suddenly, the blonde hair girl remembered something.

Charlotte : Where's George and Oren?

Her friends look at her with the dumbfounded faces and slap their foreheads together.

Albert : We completely forgot about them.

Wil : What nice friends we are.

The blonde hair girl annoyed.

Charlotte : Then, let's find them by ourselves. There's a chance that he got hurt while runnin----.

Just then, the boy and the purple haired boy walked into the room together. The blonde hair girl group saw the duo and immediately ran toward them.

Cecelia : Are you alright, George? Where have you been?

George : I was.... umm....

While the boy couldn't find the word to reply, the purple haired boy gave an answer in his place.

Oren : He's sleeping in the library.

George : (Huh?)

The Group : Huh?

Both the group and the boy were surprised by the purple hair boy's answer. But the boy instantly changed his reaction so that no one noticed it.

Charlotte : You're sleeping in the library for the entire night?

The boy scratched his head.

George : ....yea.

Suddenly, the blonde hair girl punches the boy in the gut and the boy rubs his stomach in pain.

George : That hurts. 

Charlotte : Don't make your friends worry about you.

The boy looked at the blonde hair girl and saw the worries in her eyes.

George : Sorry.

Charlotte : Then, don't let it happen again.

George : Yes, ma'am.

The student council group watching the scene and talk

Alyssa : Don't you guys think it was weird that George was missing and the vigilante appeared at the same time?

Antony : But Oren is with him. Don't you hear that George was sleeping in the library.

Issac : That's actually impossible.

Antony : Huh? Why?

Issac : Because even if George was a bookworm, he's the type of student who would never break the rules of the academy. Just because they don't want attention from teachers or us. And even if he did, a true bookworm will never sleep while reading a book.

Antony : Are you saying that George was the vigilante?

The purple haired boy was sitting at the table and looking at the boy who was sitting on the bed.

Oren : I decided. I'm joining you two.

George : Wasn't that too fast?

Oren : It might be but I saw enough. Now I realised how weak I am compared to you. That's why I decided this. I'm joining you two. But.... not as a partner..... as a student or father.... a disciple.

The boy couldn't believe what he heard

George : Huh?

The purple hair boy kneels down on the floor in front of the boy.

Oren : Please, teach me. I want to become stronger just like you.

George : I..... just cheat.

Oren : Then, teach me how to cheat.

George : ...are you serious?

Oren : Yes.

George : Wait a minute. I'm gonna ask old man.

Kuragari : I approve.

George : Huh??

Kuragari : I mean, if he's gonna become our partner, we have to teach him and change him. That's part of our job.

George : (But I'm still a student by myself, you know. You're the only one who planned everything. I just played along with you.)

George : *sigh* You're accepted.

Purple hair boy happy hearing the boy's answer. Even his eyes spark in joy. He jumped to the boy unconsciously and the boy kicked his face without hesitation.

*Meanwhile*

Teachers are standing near the corpse of the giant monster while the knight was analysing it.

El Fer : They actually burned this monster alive. They used some kind of flammable liquids. Simple trick. I don't even know we can fight Chimeras like this.

Christina : I sense a trace of magic. But there's no way Chimeras of this size actually exist in the forest of the north.

El Fer : She's right. It's unlikely they're evolved ones. Because Chimeras from the north forest weren't like this. This is a different species. The only way different species Chimera could appear was...

Christina : Summoning.

Louis : Don't Tell me.... Dark Mages? Are they deciding to just destroy everything now?

Carter : Maybe. It might be because the vigilante keeps killing them and they can't stop them. You know, even if you can't find the needle, you can still burn down the whole haystack.

Louis : That's brutal and stupid.

Carter : Also effective. But the problem was.... the vigilante was way stronger and smarter than the expectations. Not just Dark Mages, we also underestimated them.

El Fer : Yes, we did. And we learned. Also Dark Mages will learn and that's the problem.

Louis : Why is that?

El Fer : They'll become more troublesome. They would use worse methods. Also, the Academy and students would become their new target.

Louis : What? Why? These kids didn't even do anything.

Also Chimera attack academy and vigilante showed up. Dark Mages would think that students are the vigilante's soft spot because of it.

Louis : Ohh my.

El Fer : I just want to warn that tomorrow will be worse. I won't blame the vigilante for this. They're the ones who kill Dark Mages after all.

The old lady looked suspiciously at the knight.

Carter : We just hope that they will finish their job soon.

El Fer : Easier to say than done. Did you know why it takes time to kill Dark Mages? Because they're among us. They're the army of two face people. But unlike wars, we don't know who they are or where they are. We're facing the terrorist group secret identity which has manpower of army scale. This wasn't an easy task. Only the vigilante know about them. And also, the vigilante might not protect students.

Teachers surprised.

Carter : What?

El Fer : As I said earlier, Dark Mages has the manpower of an army. I doubt anyone would want to kill that much humans. Only vindictive people would do that. If the vigilante was actually that kind of person, they might not protect someone. So, you better hope that the vigilante was a good person. Even if they're a good person, they might not able to protect students if they're busy tracking Dark Mages. So, it would be better if we all are prepared.
