Chapter 8 - Capture

"And what if I don't?" Franklin said to her confidently.

"Then you will die. Even your cloaking power won't work on me." Deathbird said to him as she pointed her gun at him.

"I'd like to see you try to kill me." Franklin said to her defiantly.

Deathbird glared at him and aimed her gun at him and shot him. But the attack was deflected before it could hit him as she was surprised by it.

"And anti beam field?" Deathbird said surprised.

She narrowed her eyes and then discarded her gun. She then cracked her knuckles a bit before lunging at him as she used her wings to quickly close the distance between them. She tried to hit him with a kick, but her leg was stopped by him before he threw her back using gravity.

Deathbird maneuvered her body in the air and landed on the ground gracefully, but she looked at Franklin with wide eyes and a shocked face as she was essential thrown by an invisible force which she couldn't see.

"What did you do?" Deathbird asked him with a glare as she got into a stance.

"I just pushed you back." Franklin said with a smile.

Deathbird was about to say something but wasn't able to as she felt a sudden force on her body which caused her to be slammed on the ground as her eyes went wide when she felt it.

'I feel my body being pulled to the ground. Is he perhaps... controlling gravity?' Deathbird thought to herself in shock as she had come to that conclusion.

The ground under her cracked from the pressure from the gravity that she was experiencing. Meanwhile Franklin is doing it with a relaxed expression. However he looked to his left suddenly before he turned to look at Deathbird and her spaceship.

Then suddenly her ship started to go into the ground slowly and after it was fully done Deathbird also went inside the ground. She was shocked by this turn of events as she wasn't able to do anything as she went into the ground.

As for Franklin he made himself invisible as he waited. After a few seconds a streak of bright energy came towards the area from the sky as he watched it. Captain Marvel appeared as she hovered in the air before slowly descending on the ground.

She looked around the place with narrowed eyes as Franklin silently watched her. She flew into the air and looked around the place before she said something through the communicator in her right ear.

Franklin watched her as she nodded her head before flying away from the place while he sighed a bit at it. He was quite relieved that she didn't notice him and he was quite happy about the fact that he was able to hide himself from someone like Captain Marvel.

'Thank goodness it worked. I should probably leave here before anyone notices me. Can't be too careful in a world like this.' Franklin thought to himself as he also went into the Earth just like Deathbird and her ship.

Time skip

"Unhand me Terran! Otherwise the consequences will be dire!" Deathbird screamed in anger as she flailed in the air.

"If you haven't noticed I haven't used my hands on you so I don't have to actually unhand you since you are already are." Franklin said to her as he showed her his hands.

"Grr! You know what I'm talking about! Don't play dumb!" Deathbird shouted at him in anger at his words.

"Before that, I want to ask you something? Why did you come to Earth?" Franklin asked her with a curious face.

"I needed some resources for my ship so I landed here. Get me out of this!" Deathbird said before she shouted at him

"No. If you resist then I could just send you to one of the heroes of my planet." Franklin said to her calmly.

"And what is a Terran supposed to do to me?" Deathbird said as she scoffed.

"Well, I am a human and I am doing this to you aren't I?" Franklin said to her with a smile.

"I will find the technology that you are using and then kill you!" Deathbird said to him in anger.

"Really? Okay then, try to kill me." Franklin said with a shrug of his shoulders.

He then let go of her as she fell on the floor as she landed on her legs. She was surprised at his actions but immediately bolted to him and then attacked. He was about to attack but she flew into the air quickly and circled him and attacked his back. But her eyes widened when she wasn't able to hit him as some kind of forcefield was around him which blocked her.

"You're gonna need to do more than that to defeat me." Franklin said as he looked at her.

Deathbird flew back and looked around the room and the various machine's in the room. She attacked them but she was repelled when she got near them before she suddenly felt weightless as she was held in the air again.

"How are you doing this? Terra shouldn't have such level of technology!" Deathbird shouted as she flailed in the air.

"This isn't some kind of technology. This is my power. I control gravity." Franklin said to her calmly.

"What?!" Deathbird shouted in disbelief when she heard that.

'Impossible. A backwaters planet like this has someone who can control gravity!?' Deathbird thought to herself shocked.

"But you have caught my interest. From what you had said it seems like you are someone who was exiled from her own empire." Franklin said with a smile as he looked at her.

"What does that have to do with you?" Deathbird asked him as she looked at him skeptically.

"That means that you are alone aren't you. I know that there's no one in your ship which means that you had escaped and I'd wager it was for trying to take the throne for yourself." Franklin said with a smile.

"What if that's true! The throne belongs to me and when I get out of here I will take it back!" Deathbird said to him in anger.

"Well, then I'm going to have to disappoint you. You will not be leaving this planet for the foreseeable future." Franklin said with a smile.

"And why is that?" Deathbird asked as she looked at him.

'Damn it! I can't escape him. Maybe I should escape when he gives me to the authorities of this planet.' Deathbird thought to herself as she looked at him.

"Simple. I'm going to make you my slave." Franklin said with a smile.

A full minute passed after that as Deathbird just looked at him as she processed the words that had come out of his mouth.

"What!?" Deathbird shouted when she finally realised it while he just grinned at her.
