Chapter 8

Meanwhile, at the Kotegawa family's dive shop, Chisa was lying on the reception desk a little bored.

"I guess business is a bit slow today," she murmured to herself. "And I wonder why Onee-chan is taking so long."

As she pondered these questions, Chisa heard the door of the shop open, and quickly changed her expression to a welcoming one. "Welcome," she said, but then her face showed surprise. "Azusa."

At the door of the shop, a attractive girl of about 18 years old with wavy purple hair down to her neck and purple eyes with cat-like pupils could be seen. This girl's name was Azusa Hamaoka, and she was a great friend of Nanaka's.

Azusa responded with her characteristic cat-like smile: "Oh, Chisa, how are you?"

Chisa: "Fine, I thought you said you couldn't come for a while due to your university exams."

Azusa: "Yes, I have a few days off and decided to come visit Nanaka." Then, looking around, she asked: "And speaking of her, where is she? She's usually always running the shop."

Upon hearing Azusa's question, Chisa replied: "She went out shopping. She should be back soon."

As soon as Chisa finished speaking, the sound of a car outside the shop could be heard. Both Chisa and Azusa went out to see who could have come. Upon leaving, they found a luxury car, which surprised them. It was very rare to see cars of such magnitude in that place, and even in Japan in general. They wondered who could own such a car.

But their surprise increased when Nanaka got out of one side of the car. Both Chisa and Azusa said at the same time: "Onee-chan, Nanaka?" They were somewhat incredulous as to why Nanaka had gotten out of one side of the car. Then, the other door opened and Kaito got out. For Chisa, it wasn't difficult to understand the situation upon seeing Kaito, as they had been introduced the day before.

For Azusa, however, it was as if lightning had struck her. She was stunned to see Kaito, thinking to herself: "How is it possible for someone to be so beautiful? It's as if everything about him is perfect, his face, his clothes, his aura... everything screams perfection." Then, she asked herself another question mentally: "No, that's not important. The question here is why did Nanaka get out of his car? Could it be that Nanaka has a boyfriend?".

On the other hand, Nanaka, upon hearing that she was being called, turned around and saw that it was her sister Chisa and her best friend Azusa. With her characteristic smile, she said: "Chisa, Azusa, this is a surprise. I didn't expect to see you here so soon."

Upon hearing Nanaka, Azusa quickly snapped out of her thoughts and, with speed, appeared in front of a surprised Nanaka. She grabbed her by both shoulders, shook her, and asked her questions rapidly, such as: "Nanaka, when did you get a boyfriend? How long have you been dating? Why didn't you tell me?"

Nanaka, somewhat dizzy and with swirls in her eyes from Azusa's questions, asked her to stop and nervously replied: "T-that's not it, Azusa. Kaito-kun is a friend I made yesterday when he came to dive for the first time."

Upon hearing Nanaka's response, Azusa let out a relieved sigh, knowing that Nanaka didn't have a boyfriend, and looked at Kaito again, who was calmly talking to Chisa.

Meanwhile, Kaito was explaining to Chisa why he was there and that Nanaka had invited him to dinner when he saw that Nanaka and her friend had finished talking, and her friend was staring at him intently. He decided to introduce himself, so he walked towards them and, looking at Nanaka's friend, he elegantly bowed his body and said: "Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Kaito Tanaka, I'm a friend of Nanaka's. It's a pleasure to meet you, miss...".

Upon seeing Kaito's formal introduction, Azusa responded nervously: "Azusa, Azusa Hamaoka." She had never been introduced to Azusa in that way before, so she was surprised.

With a smile, Kaito said: "Azusa Hamaoka, I see. It's a pleasure to meet you, Azusa-san."

After finishing their introductions and waiting for Azusa to come out of her state of surprise, they decided to enter the dive shop, with Nanaka talking to Chisa and Azusa asking Kaito constant questions.
