Chapter 2

What I saw made me question my own existence. When I came to the conclusion that I had been reincarnated, I logically thought i was still in my own world. I might be a weeb but the reason I believed in reincarnation wasn't because of manga or fanfics but because I was a Buddhist. I was raised and trained in a Shaolin Temple. I didn't believe in anime worlds because I was a logical person.

But when I saw a brunette girl with a black kimono with a white obi holding a katana who was injured fighting a large black creature with a white mask and a hole in its chest I was shocked to say the least. I had read enough fanfics to know that the creature was a hollow and that girl who was half its size was probably a shinigami.

The hollow stop fighting her and looked at me. Or my direction as I was hidden in a bush close to the fight. The shinigami girl also seemed to have noticed my presence. 'Was I really that bad at hiding' I thought.

Luckily two other shinigami appeared in front of the hollow so it ignored my presence and focused on the shinigami.

"Sing, Berihime!" Shouted one of the newly arrived blonde shinigami as the swung his sword towards the hollow. A crimson arc of light following his swords' movement quickly cut the hollow in half. It groaned in pain as it disappeared.

The other shinigami that arrived was a woman who had cocoa skin long purple hair tied into a ponytail looked in my direction.

"You can stop hiding now" she said looking exactly where I was hiding.

I quickly came out of the bush and walked towards them.

"Hey pinky what are you doing here?" She asked with interest visible in her tone and shining eyes. As she said that the other two shinigami turned their attention to me.

"I just followed a scream" I said looking her directly into the eyes. I felt my body suddenly became heavy but I used my willpower to resist the pressure.

"Interesting, you can resist Yoruichi's spiritual pressure, do you have a name?" The blonde haired man said with a creepy smile.

"I don't remember "I lied

" How about I call you Sakura like your hair" Yoruichi said as she hugged me.

"So you are a new soul huh and you have quite the spiritual pressure" the blonde said

" you can call me Kisuke and this is Yoruichi and this is Kaimi"he continued as he pointed at himself, Yoruichi and the injured shinigami girl.

I just nodded and he held his chin as if in deep thought and said" Do you want to join Shinō academy and become a like us"

"You will get food and accommodation obviously and you learn how to defend yourself" he continued.

After a few seconds of fake thinking I agree to his proposal. Yoruichi carries me on her back and we shunpo'ed away from the forest.

They left me at the academy after having a chat with the Principal. I discovered they Kisuke is currently a lieutenant.

I was given my uniform and asauchi. I am in class 1 because of my reiatsu.
