Chapter 11

In my fighting stance, I waited for for the start signal.

"Start!" Yoruichi said, and I smiled as I sprinted towards Kaiso. It was a duel of Hakuda only. I threw a kick at his hip to test his reaction, which was quite slow. Noticing this I threw a strong punch aimed for his guts. He jumped away, which made me smile as I followed up with an swift axe kick which he tried to block by crossing his arms above him. I crushed his guard by putting extra power into the kick which sent him to the ground.

"Winner is Sakura " Yoruichi said with a hint of happiness in her voice.

"I demand a rematch, you caught me off guard that's all!" He shouted as he got up.

To no ones surprise he lost the second duel as well. After the first duel, people gathered in the courtyard to see the match. When Kaiso lost for the second time some people cheered which wounded his pride more.

"She's only good in Hakuda how about a duel without restrictions!" He yelled at the Captain.

Yoruichi looked at me seeing if I minded to have a match with him.

"Why not" I said taking a few steps away from him. He stood up and drew his Zanpakto and started smiling like a maniac.

I also took my kunai from its small custom sheath.

"Start!" Said Yoruichi as she backed away from the ring.

He shunp'oed in front of me and thrust his Zanpakto horizontally for my heart. I just used shunpo to appear behind him and slashed my kunai for his neck. He ducked down and created some distance between us. I didn't follow him as I wanted to see what he was planning.

He used shunpo again and engaged me in swordplay. Fortunately he was also a Zanjutsu practitioner so we were tied there but I had the advantage of speed as my shunpo was faster than his.

After a few bouts he noticed this and created distance again. He smiled again.

"Obliterate, Sutārain" he said and his zanpakto turned into a completely white halberd. He looked at me for a few seconds waiting to see if I would also release my zanpakto but I didn't.

"Trash who can't even use their zanpakto" he said and pointed his zanpakto at me.

"Star burst" he said and at the tip of his halberd white reiatsu started gathering like a cero which he fire like a cero at me.

——————Random Spectator POV—————

Watching the arrogant Kaiso release his Shikai, I was surprised that the Academy student had forced him to use it. Even though he is arrogant he is the 2nd division 3rd seat and he is no push over.

He used his signature 'star burst'. I thought the match was over until...

"Bakudo#30: Shitotso Sansen" the pink haired girl said as she drew a triangle with reiatsu in the air and three triangular projectiles where shot from the corners of the triangle. They didn't counter Kaiso's attack but aimed for Kaiso himself.

Kaiso's attack continued its path towards her and she pointed at the attack.

"Hado#31: Shakkahō" she said and a tiny red orb shot at Kaiso's star burst. This all happened in a second.

When they collided there was an explosion which sent shockwaves that reached the spectator stands.

As the dust in the ring dispersed I saw Kaiso pinned to the wall by the triangular projectiles shot earlier and the girl was completely unharmed. She walked up to him and said "who said I didn't have a Shikai, don't go assuming things on your own."

Fear was written all over Kaiso's face. He was genuinely terrified of the girl in front of him and so so I and the rest of the people watching except the captain.
