Chapter 8 (World To Koji)

*In Tokyo*

*POP*

Koji is teleported back to the human world after clearing the quest.

"Nice to be back. Not that I have anyone here to welcome me. So what did the goddess meant when she said I could get by existence renewed. Apparently I have to find those hints."

*EXPLODE*

An exploding sound came from the right direction of where Koji was standing.

The area could be seen destroyed from a distance. That destruction was made from the appearance of the A grade ghoul that came out of the dungeon break.

"When I just got out of the mess in dungeon, now I see Tokyo in flames. My luck couldn't be any worse. For now, I'll just rush to the site. There's a chance the monsters can see me."

He used the abilities he acquired from the orc king and increased his speed.

It took him two minutes to go to the site.

"This is quite reliable. But, what will happen even if I get to that area? I doubt I can do anything as I am. Will I just have to see people die in front of me? There's still time to turn back but this feeling I have, it's screaming in my mind to get to the area as fast as possible."

Koji stood on a building nearby and scouted the area. And at the same time, the third General, Kamiya Chieko, came as a backup.

"I see one of them is serious in being a hero atleast."

While he was looking at the hunters, he saw his older sister getting cornered by the ghoul.

"MONAKA-NEE SAN! Wait, can I even help her, General Kamiya seems to be acting right now, should I leave everything to her?" he thought.

"NO! I CAN'T TAKE THE RISK!"

Koji shouted with all his might and jumped towards the ghoul.

"I'll do anything, I'll pay with anything but please, for this once, let me GO THROUGH THAT BASTARD!"

Koji put all his strength on his frost elemental sword and made a clean cut through the neck of the ghoul.

That immense energy produced by that attack got the attention of every hunter there.

Everyone was staring at him. But Koji didn't know about it yet.

He again used his stamina ability and slashed all the monsters at once and closed the dungeon.

"Well, even if they can't see me, at least somehow I was able to save my sister. I wonder what it looked like for all these present here. Probably a wind slicing heads, haha..."

Koji looked back, everyone was staring at him in confusion.

"Huh? Can they see me? Oh wait they're probably looking at the dungeon. It got closer suddenly after all."

Kamiya hesitatingly walked up to Koji. She stared at him for a minute and then said.

"Thank you for saying us, we are very grateful to you. Could you please tell us who you are?"

Koji stood there in confusion and pointed at himself and asked.

"You are asking me?"

"Yes?" she responded confusingly.

"YOU CAN SEE ME!?" he shouted with confusion.

"Yes, is something wrong?"

"No, it's just.... no nevermind. I'm glad you're all okay. I am Matsuoka Koji, a thirty-two- I mean a twenty-two years old neet."

"Koji? Is it really you?" his sister asked as she walked up to him.

"Oh, hey sis. Yes it's really me. I'll explain everything l--"

Monaka suddenly hugged Koji while crying.

"Idiot, where have you been. They never showed your corpse so I always believed, I believed you were still alive somewhere. I'm so glad to have you back." she cried.

"I really didn't existed before like five minutes. But yeah, it's good to be back."

"It's been ten years and you haven't even changed a bit, you still look the same, makes me look older. And how are you suddenly do powerful. You took out an A grade ghoul like nothing."

"I worked really hard. I trained really really hard. And it wasn't like I easily destroyed it. I had to put all my force in that strike."

Some cars suddenly got into the red zone.

"We're from the squad of General Muto Hisoka. We're come as a back.....up?"

The man looked at the area surprisingly.

"Hey, didn't the general said that most of them would be dead by the time we arrive and we could take all of them out? Why is there no dungeon, why are the monsters all dead?"

he asked his fellow members through radio.

The most luxurious car got in the zone and General Muto Hisoka stepped out of it.

"Yasuhiro, give me the report." he said to his secretary.

"Yes sir, the third general Kamiya stepped in the fighting and with her another strange man also got in. He calls himself Matsuoka Koji. He took out all of them at once."

General Muto looked at him shockingly and thought.

'He took out a grade B dungeon all by himself? It was even difficult for someone as powerful as Kamiya. I must recruit him no matter what.'

"Sir are you okay?" Yasuhiro asked.

"Yes, bring that man to me."

Koji walked towards General Muto with visible hatred in his eyes.

'The moment I get a reason, I'll definitely kill this pig.' Koji said to himself

As Koji came close to Muta, Kojis hatred was sensible by Muto.

It was scary enough to make him tremble.

'What is this pressure, this presence. It's devouring me.. Who is this man?'

"You called for me?" Koji asked.

"How dare you talk to a general like that!?" Yasuhiro yelled at him.

Koji looked at his eyes, giving him the deadliest glare as a warning.

"Now now, I'll let it go this time."

"But sir-"

"I said I'll let it go this time! So, young man, I'm giving you the opportunity that only a few insects like you can get. Join my squad. I'll give you all the fame."

Koji looked at him and laughed.

"HAHAH! You really thought that I would even think of joining your rotten ranks? Someone who's trembling of my presence alone, why would I even consider of working under him? I would rather become a general rather than joining your shitty squad."

"HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT YOU LOWLY IN--"

"Lowly what? Finish what you're saying." Koji said as he increased the pressure of his hatred.

'What's with this guy, the energy he is emitting alone has put most of the hunters unconscious. I can barely stand here.' Kamiya said to herself

"To think someone who is almost about to pass out by my energy only tried to hire me. Even an insect could do better than you." Koji said to Muto.

*Snap*

Muto suddenly passed out.

"Heh.... seriously? You passed out already? Pathetic."

"Matsuoka-san, I have some questions." Kamiya said with respect.

"Oh, drop the formalities. I know mostly everything about how you work. So no need to be scared of General Kamiya. So what did you wanted to ask?"

"Alright, Koji..."

'So fast-'

"Firstly, your cloths kind of..burnt by all that energy. So if you could change them.."

"Oh, wait a minute."

He opened the inventory from the system given by Isis and wore the cloths made from the leather armor of the orcs.

"How did you..they changed instantly like magic.." Kamiya confusingly asked.

"Don't worry about it, so what'd you wanted to ask?"

"Are you planning on creating your own squads?"

"Yeah, I plan to do it as a living. I need money afterall."

"Alright, can I join your ranks?"

Koji looked into her eyes, surprisingly and awkwardly asked.

"What, why would a general want to join me, a nobody?"

"In all my twenty-one year of life..."

'Damn she's twenty-one, pretty young.'

"....I've never seen someone as powerful as you. No one could make General Muto tremble in fear as much as you did, except for the commander."

"Commander? What's that?"

"I see, you must have been busy somewhere that you don't know these details. A commander is someone who has the authority of ordering the generals of hunter association. Commander technically holds more authority than anyone. Right now the commander is...."

"Him?" Koji asked in shock.

"Yes, do you know of him?"

"Yes, kinda sorta."

"So about my request, what is your answer?"

Koji thinks for some time, thinking of every possibility of what would happen if he agrees with her or not and then finally came to a conclusion.

"Alright Kamiya, I hope you'll be willing to act as my secretary."

"Yes, gladly." she responded with a smile.

Monaka walked up to him and asked

"Koji, let me also be in your squad."

"Why should I do that sis?"

"I can't watch it happen again. After what happened ten years ago, after I lost you to that dragon, I'm never gonna leave your side again. So please let me in."

"Alright, if that's the case, But you'll stick close to me. Always like you did before."

"Sure I will." she responded gently.

'Ten years ago, the dragon disaster. I knew that I heard his name before. Who knew it was the same guy who saved the commander. But why hasn't he grown? Something doesn't sits right.' Kamiya thought.

"Hey Kamiya, lead me to wherever I have to go to apply!" Koji shouted.

"Coming!!!"

*At the top of Hunter Association Tower*

The commander alone in his office was ready the report of the dungeon break.

"Matsuoka Koji, so you've returned, hero."
