Chapter 038- Feng Hengkong's Dilemna

Feng Hengkong just finished his works. As usual, he now plans to visit his daughter to accompany her.

'I am quite late today. I'm sure she must be worried about me while waiting.' Feng Hengkong thought as he sped up his footsteps.

But as he reached the meeting destination, he was shocked to find nobody there. Suppressing his turbulent heart, he searched every corner of the mountain range thinking that Feng Xue'er might be resting somewhere.

But his hopeful heart crushed when he found her nowhere.

'She is not the type of girl to defy my orders and go somewhere on her own. There must be something bad happened to her.' Feng Hengkong couldn't help but thinking many negative things.

He even tried contacting her using the sound transmission talismans. But there was no response form the other site.

So Feng Hengkong quickly called his trusted subordinates and ordered them to secretly search for Feng Xue'er. He also warned them not to make it public as Feng Xue'er's life might get endangered in case his enemies knows of her disappearance.

After sending his subordinates out to search, Feng Hegkong personally went to question his sons. He knows full well how obsessed these good for nothing sons are for their sister. So, he can't rule out the possibility that someone among his son might have kidnapped his daughter.

After full day of searching and questioning his sons, he still couldn't find any clue about Feng Xue'er. As he was close to losing his mind, Feng Hengkong was informed that there is an urgent letter from the 'Nirvik Empire'.

Even though he was not in the mood, he forced himself to check the letter in case there is really something important. As he opened the letter and started reading, his eyes got bloodshed as he shouted loudly, "Arghhh! I am going to kill you bastards!"

Feng Hengkong got so much angry that he directly demolished the whole throne room with his power. After calming down, he quickly called his elders and asked them to prepare the profound ark for him.

"Go, prepare quickly! I have to rescue my daughter as soon as possible." Feng Hengkong stated as he started to walk back and forth in order to stay calm.

"Your majesty, should we tag along?" One of the elders asked.

"No. I can't gamble with my daughter's life. If that bastard really kills her thinking that I have not come with the intention of negotiation, I wouldn't be able to forgive myself." Feng Hengkong said with a voice that doesn't leave any room negotiations.

Seeing Feng Hengkong like this, the elders present in the room started to get worried. They knows full well how much their majesty loves his daughter. They fear that Feng Hengkong might take some decisions that are disadvantage to Divine Phoenix Empire in order to just save Feng Xue'er.

All of them looked at each other but nobody dared to say something to Feng Hengkong as they are well aware how miserable their fate would would be if someone really dared to say something like that in front of Feng Hengkong especially now that he is so angry.

After an hour or so, the profound ark was finally prepared. Feng Hengkong got in the profound ark alone as he started his journey toward the 'Nirvik Empire'.

Because of the fast speed of the profound ark, it only took him one day to reach the 'Nirvik Empire'. Even though he really wanted to go on a rampage here, Feng Hengkong barely managed to held himself back thinking of his daughter.

(With Ling Yun)

Ling Yun already got the information of Feng Hengkong's arrival inside his territory. A few years ago, Ling Yun asked Xiao Che to construct a detection formation covering the whole territory.

The controller of this formation was given to the 'shadow' in order to keep tab on the people going in and out of the Nirvik Empire. So, just now when Feng Hengkong entered the Nirvik Empire, Ling Yun directly got the notification of his arrival from Xia Qingyue.

As he knew Feng Hengkong's arrival, Ling Yun already sent someone to greet Feng Hengkong and guide him to the Throne room.

After a few minutes of waiting, Feng Hengkong was finally guided to the throne room. Ling Yun looked at Feng Hengkong and said in a sarcastic manner, "Welcome, your majesty Hengkong. How may I help you?"

Feng Hengkong gritted his teethes and replied with an angry voice, "Don't beat around the bush, Ling Yun. You clearly know what I am here for. Tell me directly what conditions do you have in exchange for releasing Feng Xue'er."

"Since you are so eager to know, I have two conditions. First is the unconditional surrender of your entire empire to me." Ling Yun said.

"As for the second condition, it is the hand in marriage of your daughter, Feng Xue'er." Ling Yun stated after giving it some thought.

Even though Ling Yun could forcefully marry her, it would ruin her impression of him. Ling Yun knows the amount of potential Feng Xue'er posses. If he can willingly let her be loyal to him, it would increase the overall strength of the empire.

As Feng Xue'er is the complete inheritor of the phoenix, she would also be able help Ling Yun a lot when taking over the Flame god realm.

"Totally impossible." Feng Hengkong roared.

"Do you really think you have the strength to keep us under your rule? I know that you somehow managed to get a sovereign realm cultivator as your subordinate. But have you ever thought how the sacred grounds will react if you take us under your rule? Surely you don't think you have the power to resist against the sacred grounds, right?" While barely controlling his anger, Feng Hengkong mentioned the name of the sacred grounds in order to deter Ling Yun.

Even after listening to Ling Yun and fully knowing that he has no power to resist again him, Feng Hengkong still couldn't come up with any decision.

'With the power that he has just show right now, it is impossible for us resist. Even the sacred grounds might not be able compete with him. But I can't just give him the empire that is mine by right. Not to mention, this bastard also wants to marry my daughter.' Feng Hengkong thought angrily.

'What should I do? I can't outright reject him either. If I do so, he will surely kill me directly.' Feng Hengkong started to get irritated as he couldn't find any solution that would take him out of this grave situation.

"Can you give me some time to think about your conditions?" At the end, he decide to delay his decision for a while in case he manages to come up with some plan to turn this situation around.
