Story development is great, world background is even better, but I have a bone to pick with character design. I must say, I get no energy from the MC. He just seems to do stuff for the sake of doing stuff, and while he does have a personality, it seems lack-luster and really energyless. Which is quite ironic as he is energy. Idk but I personally would rather have an MC who just doesn't go along with the flow and is goal oriented or has a purpose.
This is quite amazing :) The big selling point here is obviously the world building and how Ning interacts with the different places and cultures. There's also the constant problem of living for eternity that gets brought up in what I personally consider a very accurate way. Living forever has consequences on mental health but so does living alone so seeing Ning trying to balance it all is great and nicely done in my opinion. Parts of the story aren't dragged out for ages so we actually get quite a lot of progression per chapter which is a massive "yes" for me considering what the story is about. Although I do wish we could get more "touristic" description of more places and not just the main places. Writing quality isn't top noch but in the better echellons of what I've seen on Webnovel so far.
This novel gets 5 stars. I thought long and hard about this, but honestly, on the webnovel platform, it's at the peak of what you can expect. The pacing is great. Most stories try to go too hasty with making the main character overpowered, blasting through realms like it's nothing, while this story is more calm. There's enough time to explore the main character's thoughts and how the world is seen by side characters. The beginning is a bit too slow for me, as the author says themselves, but honestly, I that happens. Especially in daily update stories that are improvising heavy. The writing here is also very solid. Few mistakes in grammar or spelling, using a good vocabulary and not repeating words a whole lot. It's got good flow, and I rarely catch myself skipping or having to reread passages. Very solid. As for the characters: I think they are all unique in their own ways. Sometimes a little exaggerated, but never too much. They have their charms, all of them, and I really appreciate that women aren't sexualized very much. This isn't a harem story, and it makes the main character that much more likeable and believable. The world around him also breathes. Sometimes it feels like developments come a little outta left field, but most of the time there's at least some hints to what's happening, and U can very much appreciate that. So yeah. I think if it were a platform that has mandatory quality checks and editing, or a novel by a bug publisher, I would rate it more harshly. It's not the new "Name of the Wind" or "Lord of the Rings". But on webnovel, it stands out quite a bit to me, and I think it's more than worth reading ^^ Great job author. Please keep up the good work!
The Mc can be really which is infuriating, and the begging is very slow. That said I would strongly recommend this book once you break past ch 60 it really starts to find its direction, and I can understand why it takes so long. It's because the system is both very complicated and simple at the same time which takes a while to grow used to. Overall I'm now enjoying after stopping and restarting 3 times
I’ve read all of the free chapters so this review would be about those chapters. Writing Quality: 5/5 stars I have rated this with a 5/5, because I didn’t see any grammar problems, or incorrect spelling. If there were, I haven’t noticed it. Updating Stability: 5/5 stars I rated this with a 5/5 just because, I haven’t experienced any update delays and it was constant since the free chapters are already there. (And because I didn’t want to give it a low rating, causing a lower rating overall) Story Development: 5/5 stars I rated this with a 5/5 because, I myself personally haven’t felt like that the story was becoming bland or boring. It always kept me hooked and gave me the feeling of wanting to know more of the story. (Of course, I noticed in the comments that there were some people that felt like the story was getting boring, that’s why I said “myself personally” stating that it was my opinion.) Character Design: 4/5 stars I rated this with a 4/5 because, I sometimes get annoyed with the MC’s stupidity. I would have rated this lower if it wasn’t for the fact that the MC sometimes does act like how a normal person would have acted like if they were in their situation and how the MC is different from other MCs where they had previous knowledge of what’s going on and has to learn through his mistakes. I also like how you designed the background characters so that I you could somewhat connect with them, instead of them being plaim and only there to serve to benefit the MC. World Background: 5/5 stars I rated this with a 5/5 because, the author gave a general idea of where the MC is like what type of world he is and which continent he is and leaving out specifics like human settlements and other major places which gives the author flexibility to rewrite, revise, and perfect the storyline. Overall this would be a 4.8/5 and after writing this review, I’ll be continuing to read more and see what the author has in store for the story.
Ok so I really liked this story, but it goes downhill after the time skip. Despite that, ive still rated it purely based on how it is, not my personal opinion.( I also haven’t read this in a while, so if there’s any errors in my review lmk 1. Writing Quality It’s great, but not good enough for five stars. Only Beware Of Chicken has gotten that from me. 2. Updating Stability Very good. Nothing else to say 3. Story Development It started out very interesting, and I loved the arc where he was An Inikaka to the people, but then the time skip happened, which made the story get a bit worse 4. Character design Tbh, pretty solid, characters are fleshed out from what I remember and it was just good in general. 5. World Background It’s been good so far, but idk if that’ll change. Overall, great book, but goes a bit downhill after timeskip
