So, the stats one has at birth are determined by a myriad of factors, although many of them come back to one's parents. If one's parents had high stats, one tends to inherit higher stats. Also, there is a stat minimum for every evolutionary stage, colloquially named tiers. Humans, for example, are tier 3. The third evolutionary stage. It does! It lets him throw things. His anatomy doesn't allow it, so the Skill is adjusted to still let him throw things! Plus it's kinda funny soooo xD
Huh. This was… useful. Though the true question really was just how it would work. He couldn't exactly pick stuff up, so time to try it out then. He quite simply walked out from the log with a large yawn another stretch, feeling a slight, dull pain at his ribs. It would pass anyways, so no need to pay it any mind. He walked forward a few steps before he found a chip of bark on the floor, barely bigger than his own paw. For a moment he just looked at it, before letting out a slight sigh. Just got to re-read the chapter and edited some stuff, especially about the City Lord's thing. The boy is now more of a jerk, and a young adult (22 rather than 17). Didn't change the interaction with the previous noble, because that one is a reference to Nazeem in Skyrim, an Npc who is very infamous for being a jerk. He repeated that Npc's lines almost one for one, so it's kind of an inside joke; hopefully that clears it up a bit more. Thanks for the criticism, I do take it seriously ^^

Should be gone within just a chapter or two. It's because he doesn't fully think of himself eith the new name every time yet, at least that's what I had intended. But again, Mercury only in the future ^^
Anyhow, back to mana training. Steve didn't have any skills that would allow him to feel his mana, so he somehow had to figure it out on his own. He started off simply, by sitting on the ground in his log, closing his eyes and focusing, thinking back to what he felt the first time he tried it. He didn't use <Meditate> because it simply showed the effect without a process, and he wanted to adjust the process to achieve a different result. Simply put, he was aiming towards a new Skill, though he had yet to figure out what that Skill was. But after a while, he felt the same thing again. When he got the Skill, Mercury smiled to himself. He was always happy to gain new powers, after all they would help him in his quest to become worthy of his name. In this case however, he had no idea what this Skill would become in the future. It would become one of the abilities he would be most well known for, after all.
