Rampage (part 1)

"hey don't you get tired of this job, don't you want to be an adventurer," an enthusiastic young guard asked the other guard beside him as they both seemed to be protecting the gate that led into the Howell kingdom

"I've thought about it but I don't think I have the potential to become one, I mean I'm just at the second stage of silver and I haven't even shown any sign of going higher but you have quite a chance young man you just currently broke through the bronze stage now you are in the silver stage you can still polish yourself," the other guard said in an old voice it seemed he had been doing this job for a long time.

"thank you for the kind words sir I appreciate it," the other guard said as he bowed down in appreciation.

"oh talking about potential, kids like them will have a lot of it," the old guard said as a team of young boys and girls were seen coming towards the gate.

"Finally we're back," May said as she looked happy 'yeah but I'll be going back to my father's earldom since the academy would take at least a week to start' she wondered why she felt like this, was she sad because she didn't want to leave Jagger 'ha such a fun excuse he's just a commoner' May tried to convince herself but it was hard for her to do so.

"hmmm I see you're sad but don't forget that there's going to be a party for a successful journey at the king's palace tonight," Freya said as May then smiled 'oh that's true she thought "I knew you like Eric," Freya said teasingly and like before her face turned into one of disgust.

As they entered the kingdom they were being looked at by the residents some admired while some had disgusted looks on their faces, of course, there were the slums closest to the gate, and most of them looked like they hadn't eaten for days.

Jagger knew that not all kingdoms could keep their residents happy and it looked like they didn't know of the new disease that has been spreading and he wouldn't be shocked if a demon were to pop up here.

"hey don't disgrace us at the king's palace," Eric said but Jagger seemed to be busy tapping away on his system interface, he was trying to buy coins he was already prepared for the future as he wanted to change his clothes because as they went further people seemed to be looking at him more.

Then they had soon reached the palace as they stood there waiting at the gate, it was then opened by one of the guards as they entered they could see a young handsome man standing in front of them "future young brave heroes I congratulate you on a job well done, I apologize as the king is currently ill and can not be the one to talk with you but I come here to talk in his place I am Edward Sam Howell the son of the king, anyway I am sad to bring this sudden news on you but the Academy will be starting tomorrow considering the position we are put in I know some of you must have heard of the new disease and how dangerous it is as even the slightest mistake may pose a problem so now we can't afford to waste any time" the young man named Edward said as the others were almost on the verge of crying as drops of tears could be seen flowing out of their eye balls this was because of the last part Edward said as Jagger looked at them all he felt a little awkward so he poked his eye with his fingers as his eye ball was now red liquid then flowed from it.

'It's true I haven't felt hungry in the past few days' Jagger thought not wanting to ask the system why he then notices his house was close to the slums but then it felt like he was hungry his stomach starts hurting as his fangs came out.

Jagger knew something like this would happen soon but he didn't dwell on it now he needed a quick solution 'He-Herma' Jagger called out the system in pain as he held his stomach 'yes' Herma answered casually as though she didn't know of the matter at hand 'how..... do i-i stop this' Jagger said in pain 'you need blood as your body system has been starving but since you didn't think about it too much you wouldn't know when you are hungry, he he' Herma said as she chuckled 'what a lousy excuse so if I don't think about blood I wouldn't know when I am hungry and is she chuckling' Jagger thought as he could feel that she was behaving more like a human rather than a guide.

'do not worry though because you won't die when you go on a rampage since you haven't evolved the urge skill to true form' Herma said but this just made Jagger worry more 'rampage' Jagger could feel a different power fill up in him "ahhhhh" Jagger screamed as the power then starts to seep out his body a red ominous aura could be seen.

Meanwhile, a young handsome man was in a bar having some drinks when immediately felt the ominous presence 'is this a vampire's magical power?'

(N\B- Vampires in this book have magical powers that are unique to them only this is the power to imitate some of the affinities like water, ice, and earth no vampire has been seen imitating light and fire affinity they can also imitate weapons but because of this unique power the vampire race were attacked and slaughtered by the elves and humans are thought to have gone extinct)

'This will be fun' the man thought as he was prepared for an all-out fight of course this was the demon general that had currently had a conversation with the king.

"ahhh!"

"monster!"

"run!"

In a bar screaming could be heard all over the place as blood was filled on the floor, a young boy around the age of twelve could be seen on a body as he sucked the blood of the body dry there was chaos everywhere.

"hmmm, such a dirty scene," a young man said as he could see blood on the floor of the entrance of a bar "rrrggg" he heard a growl inside when he entered he saw a gruesome sight of a boy on a dead body while the tables were scattered across and the counter was also broken.

'This should be fun' the demon general thought.

"Limit"

The demon general muttered as a purple aura starts emitting from his body.
