The First Quest (Part 3)

Right after the roof of the cave collapse, the team has been divided into two—Ross' group and Zenon's Group.

WIth their agreement, Ross agreed to Zenon to take another route for them to find the herb they're looking for.

While walking on the dark path of the Cave, Zenon and May are still on their composure without worrying anything else. Then while walking May eagerly ask about Zenon's [Styles].

"Question... what is your [Style]?" May said without hesitation as she still keep looking ahead.

"I still don't know yet but I know that my [Armas] is [Prism Sword] so i guess my [Style] are more on sword technique." Zenon replied.

When May heard that she instantly shouted about Zenon not knowing his own [Style].

"WHAAAAT?! You don't know? H-how come?" May asked being flustered by a sudden news.

"When I made a [Contract] they said that I must unlock each one of them... then they said I can choose one for free but i still don't know how to use that power yet." Zenon replied.

"That's okay... even when I get my [Armas] it took me one week to use my first [Style]. Want me to teach you how to do that?" May replied to Zenon as she look at him with a decisive gaze.

Whoa... that's amazing and—

But before Zenon could even speak his reply, his strong senses got triggered and sensed something coming from them. He immediately changes his expression to a serious look as he instantly uncover his sword.

"Something's coming... and there are many of them!" Zenon said as he unsheathe his [Prism Sword] where his scabbard vanished in the thin air like dust.

When May heard that she readied her [Armas] named [Geweer]. It has a design of a assault rifle with a color of dark red that is slightly taller than May herself.

On May's side, she slightly look at Zenon and says:

He sense them at that distance? Right now I can't sense anything but seeing that he unsheathe his sword meaning that there's an enemy. Amazing... as expected to a [Monarch Candidate].

Then they are both looking ahead until they can now finally hear a bat sounds and loud flapping of countless wigs.

"Bats?" Zenon said.

"Well... it seems like it." May said as he unarmed herself knowing that they are bing attacked by low-level bats.

But then, she remembered about teaching Zenon how to use his power. Then, countless red eyes were now finally seen ahead of them as the blood thirsty bats are rushing towards them with their fangs out.

"Zenon... I'll teach you now by making an example.

For you to be able to use your [First Style], the process is simple, you must connect yourself with your [Armas], once you do that, you will feel a weird feeling that something is crawling inside your body, and that is [Mana]. Once you feel that, let it travel around your body and command your [Armas] to give you power to use your [Style]. Like this..."

Then the muzzle of the rifle gathers [Mana] and whirl towards it as it forms a ball with bright red. Then when it finally obtain sufficient [Mana], May fired her attack to the bats.

It creates a long and straight line of attack that is powerful enough to shake their location.

"Once you obtain your first [Style], it will automatically reaches your brain about every information about that particular [Style] and how to use it and it's [Tricks], like this."

[Trick: Scatter]

Then the straight beam of [Mana] that was fired by May suddenly scatters or divide into numerous small beam that almost match up the number of the bats that strikes them that produces small explosions as it hits the bats.

When Zenon sees that his eyes slightly went wide as he can see how May singlehandedly kill the bats that are trying to attack them.

She said [Tricks]? And the information in every [Styles] will automatically reaches my mind to know every pro's and cons about it.

"See that... that's how you do it." May said with confidence.

"Alright... now I get it." Zenon replied.

Then when Zenon finally figured out how to use his and draw his [Style]. They instantly go deeper to the Cave.

So they continue to walk until a hint of light that is not coming from their [Phones] reaches their eyes. May immediately tell Zenon to look ahead.

"Hey look... there's a light coming there." May said while pointing at the hint of light.

"Let's go... that may be the place we're looking for." Zenon said where they run to reach the light that piqued their sight.

The light is getting larger and larger as they are getting close to it. Then finally, when they reaches the end their eyes are bewildered with astonishment by the beauty inside where it's like a total paradise. A shining crystals right above the center that is like a stalactites.

Zenon takes the first step inside the paradise where a very small island is located inside a blue lagoon that is surrounding the island where a single tree is located but instead of having a fruit to bear a pure black flower like gumamela (Hisbiscus).

"That must be the flower we need to get!" May said as he pointed out the flower that is like a fruit of the tree.

"True... but something is lurking inside that lagoon. Maybe to protect that tree." Zenon replied as he look at the suspicion lagoon.

May look at Zenon and then walk towards the lagoon that is seemingly calm and peaceful. So she crouches try to get a water with her hand that she successfully obtain and drink it.

"See it's safe—"

But before she could even finish drinking, Zenon instantly grabbed her in the collar of her shirt and pull her away from the water.

"That figures it then. This isn't a very simple task." Zenon said while looking at the water where it slowly forming a mountain of water that grows bigger.

Then a huge snake appears in front of them that has a long snake tongue, long sharp teeth and a very deadly gaze towards them.

When Zenon look at May, he saw a very terrified young girl that is trembling with fear while holding her [Armas].

This won't do! She's too scared by just seeing that snake. We certainly have no choice then but to fight it head on.

As Zenon look at her, the huge snake rush towards them and opens it mouth trying to bite one of them. So Zenon who is at his right mind push May so hard to the other side. And because of that, none of them were hurt. Zenon did something to snap out of May senses by shouting to her.

"MAY!!! Get back to your senses, I can't handle this alone." Zenon loudly said.

Making the snake notices him and rush to him instead. So Zenon instantly unsheathe his sword and swing it that hits the left mouth if the snake that alter it's direction away from him. But the force of the attack is so strong that it makes him flew over a distance.

"MAYYYYYY!" Zenon said loudly again that now finally get the attention of May who instantly look at him.

"Support me!" Zenon said again as he tightly grip his sword and rushes towards the snake.

Then using the sword of Zenon, he clashes with the snake by just only changing it direction but the snake is fast too just like him but fortunately Zenon can keep up with the speed.

This isn't good. The speed of the snake is just like me but I can still block it. The question is how am I going to kill this, I'm too busy deflecting it—

Then all of a sudden, a beam of [Mana] blasted right at the back of the snake that cought it's attention.

Nice... backup, May.

"Now... RUN!" Zenon shouted to May in which she acted right away while attacking and evading the giant serpent.

Seeing the situation, Zenon is still thinking.

Nothing will happen if May and I are just going to continuously run. I need to find my power.

While running May is looking at Zenon is now standing idle while concentrating.

He's meditating? No... he's looking for his power. In that case, I need to buy some time.

"Come get me you snake!" May said as he blasted another beam of light.

[Trick: Scatter]

*BOOOOOM*

While meditating, Zenon is holding his sword in his right arm as he is trying to find his power inside it. Then while holding the sword, Zenon's body is now getting clearer and relaxed, so a flame-like [Mana] is crawling inside his that is spreading inside his body.

What is this? Is this the power of the sword? It's calm and peaceful... this is it, this is my [First Style].

When Zenon opens his eyes, his sword vanished and dissipate like smoke into thin air and changes it's appearance into a blue orb.

While looking at the orb, a feeling that he's brain is being electrocuted by a faint electricity. After that sensation, all information about the orb that is floating right above him pierces his mind.

"Amazing... this is my first [Style]." Zenon said as he immediately rush towards May who is holding the snake for him.

[Zenon-Art Prism Sword Style: First Style: Globe of the Blue Sky]

The orb of Zenon suddenly grow bigger while running towards the snake. So when he finally sees May, he ordered her to run.

"May... get out of there." Zenon shouted where May immediately responded and run away from the snake.

The snake heard Zenon and shifted it's look towards him, the snake shows it long and sharp fangs towards Zenon.

When Zenon has finally cought the attention of the snake, he finally attack it using the [Trick] of his attack.

[Trick: Burst Field]

The huge orb of Zenon suddenly scatters into a small orbs in which he used to attack the snake as he waves his hands towards it while he's at the sky of the room as he uses one of of the orbs as a foothold.

"Now... DIE!" Zenon said as the continuous explosion echoes at the whole room where even May is shocked to see the absurd power of Zenon.

And the ultimately, the snake were killed by Zenon's attack.
