Playful Fate (Part 3)

[Guilds Hall]

A huge and excellent architecture is evident to a single building with shining crystals above with it's towering height. A single person is like an ants compared to it.

Huge gates with some X-like pattern on both doors and some large circular windows is seen. There are hundreds of people are coming in and out of the building with their [Squads] and their [Armas] with them.

[Squads] are needed to finish the task. The rules is no one person is allowed to take a quest all by themselves. The quest are always a group fight as their mission is fills the gap of every weaknesses of each member.

Zenon is walking as he can already see the large cathedral-like building by following the signs on the road. His excitement is seen on his face but his composure is still the same.

Then while walking, Avel slowly descend from his shoulder as Zenon pats Avel in it's head while walking.

Unknowingly, they finally arrived at the entrance of the Guild where numerous people are excited to come inside for the application.

"This is like a dream for me, Avel. I can only see those races in Anime like elves, dwarf and some demi-humans walking with excitement on their faces.

Well I guess... the next phase of my life, begins." Zenon said as he took the first step to the stoned white ladder of the Guilds Hall as his excitement is now finally seen on his face by showing a bit of smile.

Inside the Guild, there are numerous new people that are trying to apply to be an [Adventurer]. Excitement, nervousness and just casual look filled the entire room's ambiance while waiting infront of the [Information Desk].

As Zenon finally entered the hall, he saw a bunch of people waiting infront of the [Information Desk]. Some are sleeping, meditating and some are just casually talking to one another. They are completely ignoring Zenon while walking towards the desk with his eagle on his right shoulder.

At the [Information Desk], a lady is just standing while giving off a smile on her. Then Zenon finally reaches her desk and ask about his questions.

"Uhmm... ahh... this is my first time here and I just want to ask about the process to become an [Adventurer]." Zenon said with his casual and composed look.

Right after Zenon asked his question, the lady named Nera, handed him a small brochure containing the information he needed.

"I'll explain the process to you Sir, okay.

So there are three stages to officially get your [Adventurer License]. The first one is the [General Knowledge Class] you will have to take basic knowledge about being an [Adventurer].

Second, is where you will form a [Contract] for you to get an [Armas] for you to use if you want to become an [Adventurer].

Lastly, is where you will form a [Team] for the missions.

But for now just wait for your teacher to come." Nera said with a smile on her face while she points out the stages while explaining it to Zenon.

Zenon immediately understand the explanation of Nera as he move away from the Desk and walk towards to an open space near the stoned pillar.

As he takes a sit, Zenon pulls out a small piece of meat from his pouch that is tied on his waist and feed it to Avel who is right beside him.

While waiting, a young boy with a short light brown messy hair and eyes approaches him with a smile on his face. He's wearing a black uniform-like and his hands are covered with black gloves too as he approach Zenon who just casually look to him.

"Hey there! Are you alone? My name is Adam, nice to meet you." Adam said as he offered his hands towards Zenon who is sitting.

Zenon immediately handshake his hands as a sign of respect to him for offering his hands to him.

He's surprisingly nice.

Then as they both finish shaking hands, Adam sit right beside Zenon and join him. Seeing that Zenon thought that he's just making an acquaintance with him where he's also alone just like him.

"Seeing that you don't have anyone to talk to I'm assuming that you're alone too, right?" Zenon asked while looking at the people without giving Adam a glance.

"Hmm.. that's right. I'm an outcast in my family so I don't have many friends to talk to. But I see that you're alone too so I think we could be friends." Adam said while also looking at the people around them.

Hearing his reason, Zenon also agreed with hik as he remember his past life just like him... an outcast too.

Then as they both trying to get to know each other, they immediately felt an intense presence where everyone in the waiting area felt and immediately look at the door.

"What is that? I felt an unusual pressure for some reason." Zenon said.

As he look at Adam who is just composed just like him after sensing such presence. Adam answers his questions.

"It seems like our teacher has arrived." Adam said as he pok Zenon to look at the direction of the door where a man is standing.

Sensing such a weird flow of [Mana], almost everyone stood up and look at the door where a bulky man with his astonishing muscle is standing.

"It seems like everyone is here so we're going to start immediately. But for now, head to the classroom... follow me." The teacher said.

Then right after everyone heard that, Zenon and Adam quickly follow their teacher as they walk towards under the high ceiling roof. As they walk, they instantly reaches their classroom where Zenon's eyes went wide right after he sees it.

What the...? It's like a Cinema.

When the door opens Zenon saw the seats just like in cinema but instead of having a large screen a teacher's table and a huge green board is nailed in the wall.

"Take a seat everyone." The teacher said.

Zenon and Adam immediately seated at the fourth row of the room. The room has about less than 100 people with different age but not exceeding atleast 25 years old.

The their teacher stood up infront of them near his table. The teacher is wearing a blue coat as a sign that he's a instructor for being an adventurer. He has a short hair that he's almost bald where he has a short beard connecting to his mustache.

"Nice to meet you all, I am Teacher K and I will teach you the [General Knowledge] for this day. This class will only last for one day so you all better listen." Teacher K sais as he greets everyone with a loud smile.

Then as usual, the students, Zenon, Adam and the others greeted him of course. And right after K heard that he immediately told them about the lesson with hesitation.

"I know you're all asking why we need such lesson for being an [adventurer] and I know you are all bored about this so I'm going to be direct.

Being an [Adventurer] is a very difficult task, you need to accomplish quest and report it right away to the Guild after you finish it. But let me tell you this, you could 'die' for being an [Adventurer]." K said with such intimidating look and aura like gray smoke coming out from his body.

So everyone get serious when K talks about death. Where all of them looks so worried but Zenon and Adam are still composed right after hearing that.

He's saying that every quest is a suicide mission. But how am I be able to gain strength if I could die for just doing a single quest? If I die how am I going to answer why I came to this world...

Zenon continuously murmur in his mind while analyzing his options but Teacher K immediately spoke and he says:

"Scary right? So do you want back down while you still have time." Teacher K sais with a smirk on his face.

But all of the students and Zenon who finally reaches his conclusion of his options, they all answer a two words.

I need to become one to get the answer I need.

"No Sir!" They all yelled.

Hearing that, K gives off a deadly smirk while looking at them.

"That's the spirit guys. So now we're going to answer the question that is running in your mind, how am I be able to survive?

Right after this [General Knowledge Class], we are going to go to the 'Special Room' where you will form a [Contract] with a [Supreme Being] to get your [Armas]." K said while writing on the large board using his chalk.

Zenon wondered about the term he heard, [Supreme Being] so he instantly raises his hands and ask his question.

"Sir if I may, what is a [Supreme Being]?" Zenon asked.

Hearing that Teacher K turns around and faces them as he answers his question.

"A [Supreme Being] is an entity living in a different dimension. That's the easiest way to understand that. Next is, when we form a [Contract] we get in touch with those [Supreme Being] from another dimension, you will talk to them and convince them to form a [Contract] with you. If you're lucky and manage to form a [Contract] they will be in a form of a 'weapon' that will give you power to fight the quest you have." K said as he grabbed something from his behind.

When he grabbed it, a small hammer with some red linings is seen to it and he says:

"This is my [Armas] that I formed a [Contract] with. I was an [Adventurer] for almost 30 years and this [Armas] is my weapon that keeps me safe.

Throughout your journey, you will discover the power that your [Armas] possesses and we call them [Styles], with your [Armas] you can now draw a huge amount of [Mana] that you will you use to attack... According to the Law that the [Great God of Order and Chaos] has written, there are only, and must be, [10 Styles] each person. But be careful, using too much [Mana] will drain your stamina quickly than you expected and you could die from that." K said where everyone inside the room including Zenon and Adam are amazed by it.

Amazing... so that's an [Armas], huh. It's my first time seeing that this close. I wonder what kind of [Armas] I will have.

Hours have passed and we just talk about the [Armas] including our questions in the lesson. Now it's time to talk about the other topics.

"So we already talked too much about [Armas] so now we're going to talk about the [Ranking] that exists here.

So I'm going to tell you the ranking from the lowest to highest:

Adventurer Class/Soldier Class [Grade B]

Adventurer Class/Soldier Class [Grade A]

These two [Rank] is the same but the Grade you have will determine your strength and [Quest Level]. The [Grade A] is stronger than [Grade B] but that doesn't mean that [Grade B] can't fight [Grade A].

So the next [Rank] is the [Arcane Class] where there are only [1000] people at most because their power is on a completely different level to the Soldier/Adventurer Class.

And the last one, and the moat powerful of them all are the [Monarch Class] where there are only [4] people who have this [Rank] and were blessed by the [Three Great Gods]."
