Garden of Doom (Part 5)

Zenon is up the sky standing on his orb created by his [Style]. And with his great senses, he finally found the person who is alway keeping an eye on him since the battle started.

He confronted him by saying:

"Is that you... right?"

Whereas Zenon is looking at the open space at the forest but his sharp eyes like an eagle can see through at that angle and height.

Inside the open space, there's a single guy sitting on the mountain of corpses while playing with a head, kicking it up and down like a soccer ball.

He has a sly face with a black fox-like eyes and his hair is dyed in red with a single black strand at his forehead part down to his nose.

[Edward • Grade A Soldier Class • Lorezania Kingdom Secret Magic Unit]

His outfit isn't normal than the others with normal clothing. His clothes has the emblem of the [Secret Magic Unit] of the Kingdom.

[Lorezania Kingdom] is one of the [Four Regions] at the crust or Pangea along with, White Snow Castle, Neutral City and The Garden of Doom.

"He's a sharp one." Edward said.

He jumped off to the mountain of corpses and laded perfectly on the ground as he kick off the head of Toop at a high altitude and then take a few steps back.

*Step. Step.*

When the head of Toop is now falling down with incredible speed, Edward kicked it like a soccer ball towards to the direction of Zenon above the sky.

"A pleasure to meet you... [Monarch Candidate]."

*Whoosh*

The head is moving in the air so fast creating a small horizontal tornado accelerating it's speed.

But when it reaches Zenon, he stopped it casually with a single hand without even looking at the head and just staring at the direction of the open space.

"He's strong... definitely stronger than Teacher K and Terry. As much as possible, I want to avoid fighting someone strong without any experience but I guess it's can't be helped. Zenon said as he fire numerous small orbs to the direction of Edward.

"Nice to meet you too." Zenon replied.

He now then throw the head of Toop and simultaneously cancelled his [Style] as the [Prism Sword] re-appeared in his hands while falling.

*Whoooooosh*

Numerous orbs are flying towards Edward but he evaded them easily and let the orbs reaches the ground and explode.

But right at that moment, he grabbed his [Armas] from his modified quiver behind because at that very moment, Zenon is almost right in front of him with his sword ready to swing at that moment.

Then without any hesitation, Zenon swings his sword to Edward aiming for his chest but Edwards uses his [Armas] to block the attack of Zenon in which Zenon reacted accordingly by taking a huge step backwards few meters away from Edward.

"Geez... that's a very good tactic, using those orbs as a diversion to masked out the main attack. For amateur, Is that instinct or you just saw it somewhere? If I were any slower, I would definitely get hit by that but too bad I outranked you with experience."

Zenon felt shivers in his body as his eyes can see the leaking [Mana] from Edwards body that is like a red smoke.

The amount of his presence rivals my own but that's not the point, he's more experienced than me in battle. I am at the disadvantage her! I need to get away here somehow but if I quit here I won't get the money for Adam. I'll just have gamble here — fighting him and also locating the domain of the [Golden Bat].

Zenon's look is unchanging, but at that time that the odds are highly unlikely on his side, Zenon asked Edward.

"What do you want from me? I know that since the game has started you're watching me. What are you after?!"

Edwards eyes fills with curiosity and then answered.

"You're sharper as expected! But to answer your question, let me introduce myself, I am Edward and I came from [Lorezania Kingdom] and a member of [Secret Magic Unit]. I received an order from the higher-ups that the third [Monarch Candidate] has been awakened so they immediately give an order to test you. Does that answer your question?"

Hearing that Zenon wonders.

Higher-up? Are the other regions aware of me that fast? But still—

Thinking so deeply, Zenon let his guard down for a second until his senses picked up something weird that is telling him to move.

Zenon immediately dodge and saw that the long red whip of Edward crushed the ground where he was standing.

[Edward's Armas: Slytherin Whip]

It is a very long whip that resembles like a snake where the handle is made out of the head and the long whip-part is created by the tail-part.

"He's fast" — Zenon pondered.

Edward continuously waves his whip creating many whip attacking Zenon. But seeing such refined whip control, Zenon unsheathe his sword as he can't evade all of those with just his agility and speed.

*Unsheathe. Block. Block. Block*

Zenon is continuously blocking every strike of Edward's whip but Zenon's feeling that every strike of the whip is swift and heavy.

His attacks...! They're heavy as hell!

"You're surprisingly good at swords to be able to block all my attack as an amateur... As expected to a [Monarch Candidate], Beings who are guided by [Bathala]. Well I think playtime's over." Edward said as he hold his whip so tightly and casted his [Style].

[Edward-Art Slytherin Whip Style — Third Style: Mountain's Touch]

He instantly swings his whip and the size of it gets bigger and bigger that is now 20 meters radius and height but unlike its size, the weight of the whip doesn't change from its original weight when it's small.

With its fast movements, it hit Zenon from his left side but thankfully he uses his sword to block the attack.

It's heavy!!! But—!

The force of the attack is so strong that made Zenon flew over a distance crashing and passing through in numerous trees and stop at the largest one.

"Did I go too far?" Edward asked while looking at tye direction where Zenon landed creating huge smoke screen of dust.

"And for the next part, broadcast the battle in the entire City." Edward said as he grabbed his phone and told his other comrades to broadcast the live battle.

Everyone in the entire City, gets the notification from their phone and immediately saw the forest where Zenon is.

May and the others were shocked when they are seeing Zenon struggling while getting up.

"Oh no!" May said while covering her mouth due to so much shock.

Zenon is struggling while getting up as he can still sense the pain from his left side.

This is in a different level! So this is the power of an Top class [Grade A]! I definitely can't win this fight today. With his experience, I can't trick him anywhere with my amateur skills, I'll just have to charge head-on!

*Leap. Rush*

Zenon takes a huge leap and rushes towards to Edward to charge at him with faster movements than the last time.

"Hmm... a head-on charge?! It seems like it. Well I wouldn't spoil the fun for you."

[Edward-Art Slytherin Whip Style — Second Style: Ten Heads]

As Edward casted that, the huge whip comes back to its original form and immediately divided into ten whip and attack Zenon.

[Trick: Snake]

The ten whips turned into a snake that is rushing towards Zenon with their huge fangs aiming for him.

This power... is crazy! I need to cast my powers too!

[Zenon-Art Prism Sword Style — First Style: Globe of the Blue Sky]

In that instant, a huge blue orb manifest in the thin air and acted like a barrier to protect Zenon from the attack of Edward. One snake almost engulf the orb and pushing it to the other snake where their mouths are opened too to crush the orb.

*BOOOOOM*

"Arghh! This is insane!" Zenon said while struggling

[Trick: Burst Field]

The orb that is protecting Zenon instantly burst into numerous that attack the snake making them step back. Plus, some of the orb are aimed for Edward but with his experience, he just smiled while facing the attack where numerous snakes protected him by covering him.

Seeing that split opening, Zenon immediately attack.

"An opening!"

[Trick: Landmines]

The four main orbs that is surrounding Zenon moved towards Edward where it blends into the land.

Then when Edward uncover the snakes that is protecting him. He look at Zenon who is panting and out of breath.

"What? Done already? I thought you can still fight. But I guess that the [Monarch Candidates] are powerful is a bluff afterall." Edward said and take a step but with that carelessness, he stepped on the soil where one of the main orbs in mined and it instantly exploded to the extent that it creates a huge dome with the height of 30 meters.

"WHAT?!" When Edward senses that it's already too late, the other three main orbs exploded due to the ignition of the fist orb creating a cage-like that directly attack Edward.

"You may be strong and experienced, and I know when you said that 'play time's over' is a bluff. You wanted to toy with me until I give in. So I thought I should push harder until we're both unable to fight. But when I saw an opening and you're still playing, I planted some landmines around you. With your carelessness on looking down on amateur [Adventurer] like me... is your greatest mistake!"
