Ch 5 : Ghost Bride

  The director explained to us about the concept that the investors want during the briefing. We also been informed that the three panels will be closely evaluating us today. I feel nervous because this is the first time I do the photoshoot and have someone there to evaluate my performance.

  Lilian come with Hui Lin while I am resting on my lazy chair reading the flows of the photoshoot for today. She happily shows me the G-Dragon's ball-joint doll, some of G-Dragon's plushies are inside the bag and also a limited edition of PMO's T-shirt with G-Dragon's signature. Lilian seem to be floating in the cloud nine right now.

   After tend to Lilian's happiness, I sighed when I see something unexpected at the bottom of the schedule's tentative for that day — mini movie filming.

  "Why are you sighing, my bae?" Lilian sit next to me, still holding her G-Dragon's BJD. Ahh! That BJD really look like its human version.

  "Hmm... nothing. I just not confident enough for this photoshoot." I said in a low voice.

  "What's wrong? Your partner is not handsome enough?" Lilian is teasing me at the wrong time.

  "Not about that but I have no experience in the acting. And how to act like a ghost bride in the mini movie?" My heart sunken. I will be screwing up everything today.

  "You can do it, bae!!" She pats on my shoulder.

  The director is calling for the models to standby. I leave Lilian behind, looked back for a moment and saw she made a 'fighting' gesture to me. I smiled. Thanks, Lili!

   During the photoshoot, I able to to impressed the director with my gesture and body language despite my anxiety under Xian's guide. Xian also look relax until the photoshoot end, it gave me a little courage to keep on moving forward.

  The photoshoot is done. The director give us a break time before continued with the mini movie filming at the outdoor set. Lilian look really excited when I walked towards her. I am curious.

  "You devil! How lucky you're to have Prince Eden as your modelling partner!! You sure will become a big hit, babe!!" She pinched hardly on my arm. If she is not my bestfriend, I might be have killed her a long time ago.

  "Is he that popular? Wait!! Is he a real prince?" I whispered to Lilian. I become more curious.

  "Not a real prince but he is a nation's prince. Every girls around the globe is dying on the thoughts of marrying him! And every female models want to be his modelling partner but he always declined their invitations. How come you didn't know such a big star's name?" Lilian whispered back at me and pinched on my arm again.

  "I'm only interested in ghost not human?" I shrugged at her. Lilian want to hit me with her handbag when someone coughs next to us.

  "Prince Eden!! Nice... Nice to meet you!" Lilian stutter in front of Xian. I chuckled at her. Lilian had forget her GD.

  "Nice to meet you, Miss....?" Xian tilted his head.

  "Hwang... Lilian Hwang!" Lilian shake hands with Xian. She even asked for his autograph, super multitasking girl! I respect Lilian for her fangirling's superpower.

  "Ai, can we talk about the scripts for the movie later?" Xian stand in front of me. I nodded. Lilian excuse herself to gives Xian and me our personal time to discuss on the scripts. Xian briefly explained to me how to mastered the character so it will look more alive. Someone as experiences as him is worth it to learned from.

  We then move to the new location for the next filming by bus. We arrived at the abandoned temple at the dusk. The abandoned temple seem to be scary but the cherry flowers coloured the scenery around the abandoned temple amazed me more! The surrounding look majestic under the bright twilight sky.

  The filming is start with the first scene where the bride are cross path with the groom at the pavilion next to the lotus pond behind the temple. I feel nervous for that scene and my hands are trembling.

   I try to control myself as much as I can. But when Xian walked pass by me at the pavilion, I stunned because the scene exactly the same with the one I experienced at the first day I come to Beijing. I turned my back, the wind gusted and the flowers' petals are swirling on the ground. Although the winds are from the big fans used by the crews, it is feeling real to me. I walked forward towards Xian unconsciously and it was totally different from the script, but the director keep on rolling.

  I walks closer and closer, when I am about to touch Xian's back, he walk away from me and the director called it a 'CUT!'. I stand there dumbfounded. Tell me this is just a coincidence...!

  "Ai, are you okay?" Lilian shakes my body when I seem to be lost in my own mind. When I come to my sense, I look at Lilian in a confusing eyes.

  "What's wrong, Ai? You seem to be lost." Lilian's concern arise.

  "Nothing. I'm fine." I smile at Lilian before I emerged into the artist caravan as the wardrobe's director had instructed me to change into the wedding dress. While, I change my clothes in the fitting room inside the caravan, I accidentally lost one my contact lens. I am crouch down to take another pair inside my backpack when I see the eyes are peeking at me from under the door's gap.

  I screamed and open the fitting room's door to find out there is nobody's there. A moment later, Xian stomped into the caravan with other crews. All of them looks so worry.

   "What happen, Ai? We hear you were screaming just now." Xian ask me.

   "I saw someone's eyes is peeking from under the door while I was changing my clothes." My mind is cloudy. Is that a human or a ghost?

   "We don't see anyone was coming out from this caravan." Said the lighting director. I just nodded at his words because I indeed not sure if it is a human or not.

  All of us decide to treat it as nothing ever happen. After finishing my makeup and hairdo, we resume filmed for the ghost wedding ceremony scene. I feel a little bit weird with the set up, it looks too real and amiss to me. I have a bad hunch yet I ignored it and put my trust on the production team as they have explained to me that the set up were prepared personally by the investors. There is a monk too for the ceremony. It is happen to be like a real ghost marriage ceremony, gives me a creep.

  The ceremony begin with the monk is chanting some unknown mantras. I never heard these mantras in my whole life of studying about spirit, ghost and some mantras from the temples or shrines. I stepped back a few steps when I saw the paper doll in front of me emitting a black smoke and form a human face after I bow to it. The monk is still reciting his mantras. This is not an acting but a real shit!!

  "Oh my wife!!!" The paper doll transform into a man and he rushed at me while laughing eerily. I dodged him when he wanted to hug me. I touch my back pocket and realized that I left my paper talisman in my backpack. I screwed up this time!!! I hope there is someone will stop this insanity but no one move when I look at the production team and Lilian. The time has stopped for them but not for me.

  The paper doll rushed at me once again, I dodged him by move to the opposite direction. I tear off my wedding gown and take off the shoes I  am wearing because the attires halt my movement too much. No one to save me except for myself right now.

  "Damn you woman!!!!" The paper doll are furious when I tear off the wedding gown in front of him.

  He charged towards me and I kick him in the stomach. I still have my necklace amulet with me, so I can cause a little damage to any evil spirit I was touching. The paper doll become more furious. Okay, I have provoke a grim reaper!!!

  The paper doll is shrieking furiously, his eyes reddening. The eerie shrieks cause me to deafening. I blocked my ears with my hands, my head dizzy because of the high frequency. It is cause me to I let my guard down, the paper doll saw an opening on me and charged at me once again. I have no time to react to his attack!
