Recreating Civilisation with an Abnormal System

A former Hero swept up in the troubles of a Divine Entity that wishes to save its creations from the destruction of the void, leading the former Hero to return back home to Earth with an abnormal System. Whereas the typical Systems focused on empowering the Host with abilities and skills that lead them towards immortality or more, the System bound to the MC rather wishes for him to develop others besides itself. Rather than fighting against monsters in a dungeon to Level Up, the former Hero would need to generate enough sales from the new products he would create. The former Hero would be able to employ various species as he expanded his influence in another world similar to an apocalyptic Earth Using the help of fantasy races and species, the former Hero needed to both develop a business empire that spanned the planet, Earth, while also using knowledge to help further the evolution of the many races serving the MC. Yet things aren't as simple as creating a brand and distributing finished products…

"Hmm… Noice…" Dante imitated his favourite detective from Brooklyn Nine-Nine, after stepping out of the confines of the small campground which Dante renamed the Hub.

No changes occurred to the tent or the small chest, however the Tree of Beginning had sprouted several metres with branches coming out, full of leaves.

The tree had swallowed a large part of the dense fog, clearing up a large potion of land which seemed unattended and dry.

The soil needed to be given life after the fog had drained everything from the ground leaving grey soil behind.

Dante noticed the Tree of Beginning had already started clearing up the damage done to the soil, but it wasn't happening quick enough to his liking.

'Water the other tree back on earth and supply it with goods which will be replicated to this tree.' Astakron told Dante, who was closely inspecting the roughness of the soil which was in no way ready for planting.

In the distance, Dante also took note that there were several houses, which appeared to be designed very differently to homes on Earth.

The first glance of the homes from a distance told Dante they were double story, however they all appeared to be made of various metals that were shaped uniquely.

It made Dante feel as if the homes were science fiction props from a film that was centred around the future in a rural area, however he could only he sure once he got closer.

Making the decision to return home back to Earth, Dante learnt from Astakron a small amount of goods could be brought over, as long as he either carried them or gifted them to the Skeleton Labourers.

Because the Pioneer Civilisation System hadn't made an Inventory Function available just yet, Dante would need to make multiple trips a day to bring over everything from Earth that he wanted to use on Terronious, however he had a solid idea that even Astakron thought would work.

.

Returning back to Earth, Dante pulled out his iPhone 7 Plus, with its rose gold colour, and called for his dad who picked up on the first ring.

"Whats up champ?

Everything alright?" Jonathan sounded worried Dante had already given up on the farm, however what he heard instead made him feeling ecstatic.

"Dad… I need to borrow the Ute.

The farm needs basic tools and a crap ton of materials to fix up the glasshouses.

Not just that, I need some paint for the shed…

Can't have the crap on the walls any longer otherwise my blood will boil." Dante was straight forward and honest with his father since there was a great deal of work to be done.

It was easier to tell him now then complaining about it later at home in front of his mother.

"Hahaha!

Don't worry, do what ever you need to do.

I'll send some extra money to cover the expenses for now but remember to keep track of everything you've spent your money on and what you're buying."

Dante agreed with his fathers' words of wisdom, after all the man had created his own business after completing his apprenticeship at a young age.

Hanging up the call with his father, Dante called for a taxi to come pick him up from the farm, which arrived shortly.

Having already packed away the Skeleton Warriors, Dante jumped into the taxi and relax in the back seat for roughly an hour before he reached home.

Paying the driver, Dante went around to the back of the house and entered through the backdoor with his key to the house before leaving with the keys to his father's Ute.

It was a 2016 Toyota HiLux Workmate with a single cab, which only had room for the driver and one passenger.

The single cab Utes were designed for more space in the tray since those who bought them primarily were tradesmen and farmers.

Jonathan bought one for himself a few years back with his plan to hand over the Ute to Dante since he didn't like the idea of him driving his friends around.

His reasoning was to reduce the possibility of his son being in a fatal crash because of the young passengers which would be seated in the back.

Jonathans close friend was a police officer so he'd heard enough about the fatalities where young adults would end up dying all because of their friend's interference, taking their attention away from the dangers on the road.

.

Dante got in and checked for fuel as well as straps to hold anything down in the tray before setting off from home.

His first stop was at Bunnings, a hardware stores the size of aeroplane hangers which typically had everything a tradesmen would need.

After entering the store, Dante found one of the workers before handing over the list of notes he'd made which had everything written down that needed to be bought.

The young man who was stopped by Dante felt like coughing up blood, especially after he noticed the imposing body size of Dante, yet he carried on like a professional and helped Dante with everything.

Though it took an hour or so to gather everything, Dante decided to return to the particular store next time, satisfied by the level of customer service.

Spending up to $3,750 on all sorts of materials, tools and equipment which was required on the farm, Dante left Bunnings and headed straight for the farm.

He'd even bought plenty of seeds to all sorts of fruits and vegetables, including tree plants, however they were going to be delivered by the store due to the amount Dante had spent.

Also, there was no way everything would fit into the back of the Ute since it was already packed with all sorts of items, so Dante had no problems waiting a short amount of time for the plants.

.

After arriving at the farm, Dante drove straight into the large shed which finally had enough space for vehicles to enter.

In the future it would need to house the heavy machinery needed to manage the farm, but that was far ahead from now since Dante didn't have enough money for large purchases.

Summoning the Skeleton Labourers, Dante got them to removed everything from the back of the Ute, after which he told them to set everything up.

Two of the Skeleton Labourers were tasked to start work on fixing the glasshouses, while the others continued setting up the shed and painting the walls.

Dante drove off from the farm and headed for Anaconda, an outdoor adventure store, which sold all kinds of things from tents, outdoor kitchen gear, clothing, and water sport gear, but more importantly, they had decent machetes that Bunnings unfortunately didn't have in stock.

There were a few axes included in the bunch of items Dante wanted to purchase but when he appeared at the checkout, the staff member looked at him with a questioning gaze.

In the end, they didn't stop Dante and happily let him pay for the tools.

Once he returned to the farm, he also received a call from the delivery drivers who were dropping off the plants and glass needed for the glasshouses.

It was already past lunch for the day, but Dante wasn't ready to stop working just yet, and helped the two men in the delivery truck unload everything straight into the shed.

Both deliverymen were fairly surprised by the materials in the shed, especially the tools which appeared to be brand new.

Neither said anything more than the basic communication while unloading the truck and left quickly after for lunch, leaving Dante behind who summoned the Skeleton Labourers again after the drivers left and got them working on replacing some of the glass panels on the glasshouse.

Dante couldn't help but watch the Skeleton Labourers fly through the mountain of tasks that continued to be thrown their way.

From his estimation of their speed and efficiency, Dante felt each Skeleton Labourers easily could perform the work of 5 men.

The only trouble he had with the Skeleton Labourers was teaching them to use the power tools he'd just bought.

He would need to show them how to use the drills, grinders, multi tools, and the nail guns, however after they saw it once, the grey flames in their eye sockets would spark like to metals clashing together.

Dante assumed this meant they understood and had absorbed the knowledge on how to use the tools, which he was thankful for, however the time it took him to explain everything was longer than he first expected.

.

Leaving the four Skeleton Labourers behind to continue their work around the farm, Dante sat in his Ute with the tray filled up with the plants freshly delivered and the equipment he wanted to set up around the Hub.

Holding onto the steering wheel of the Ute, Dante closed his eyes and focused on Terronious, before he felt a gut twisting sensation.

Only after the feeling passed did he finally open his eyes and noticed he had arrived on Terronious with the Ute.

"Hahaha! It worked!!"

'Never thought it would have worked…' Astakron was utterly astonished his idea worked out, but he made sure to remined Dante to focus and not to be lost up in the excitement.

"Holy… fucking… shit…!"

Dante was still sitting inside of the Utes cabin while the System notifications continued to ring out one after another in his head.

To keep track of everything, Dante brought up the System Interface and watched closely as all sorts of produce continued to be recognised by the Sanctum Realm.

Unfortunately, the minerals used to create the tools and even the Ute weren't recognised by the System, but Astakron let him know why.

'You've got to upgrade the System first before those types of materials can be acknowledged by the System and Sanctum.'

"How do I do that?" Dante asked while stepping out of the Ute and spawned the Skeleton Labourers.

'Purchase System Credit.

Currently one SC costs $1,000, and you need 100 SC before you can purchase the System Upgrade.'

Dante could only nod even after he'd done the maths in his head and figured out it would cost him $100,000 to upgrade the System.

Even then, Astakron made sure to let him know that the option for the minerals to be recognised by the System and Sanctum Realm might not be available.

Regardless, Dante saw it as a goal and felt energetic with a short-term goal in mind.

But before that, he needed to go out and see what Terronious had to offer.

.

"Let's go out exploring!"

Dante held an axe in his left hand and a machete in his right as he left the Hub behind to be managed by the Skeleton Labourers.

The Tree of Beginnings had cleaned up a large portion of the grey soil, even though there was still around 10 acres remaining.

Of the 20 acres which was ready to be ploughed, Dante had the twelve Skeleton Labourers first work on preparing the soil before planting the fruits, vegetables, and trees.

Dante knew everything couldn't be planted throughout the 20 acres, especially the extra stock that was created by the Basic Arithmetic Function.

For example, there was a huge amount of ginger and garlic which Dante already brought over to Terronious, after which the sum multiplied by 10.

There were roughly 100 flowering ginger plants which multiplied into 1000 plants, but Dante wanted to equally spread out the produce between the two worlds.

Because the Tree of Beginnings would prepare the produce to be harvestable within 24 hours, Dante wasn't overly concerned where the goods would be planted.

Rather he started to think about finding an appropriate place to store the harvested goods.

But he pushed the issue aside with him leaving for the boundary of the Grey Fog, where several houses could be seen partially in between the 30 acres of his Second Foundation Base and trapped inside the Grey Fog.

.

As Dante got closer, he felt the space near the houses were somewhat dangerous however he wasn't able to put his finger on it.

Walking over to a pillar which was connected with the house, Dante realised it was made from steel and would make a decent sound throughout the air.

Smashing the dull side of the axe on the pillar a couple times, an echo resonated throughout the air which was loud enough to make Big Ben blush.

"Eeerrrrrrgggg…" Dante smiled when he heard the growling sounds of unintelligent creature shuffling its way over to his position.

"Come on… you nasty as shit!" Dante yelled as he saw a humanoid creature walk out of the Grey Fog.

The creature was missing its jaw and one of its eyes that appeared to be ripped out if its skull.

Even its left leg looked broken, though that wasn't anything compared to the large slice across the abdomen which let the creatures' guts to spill out as it moved.

.

Using the machete, Dante sliced horizontally at the neck of the ghastly creature, cutting off the head in one quick slash, where the blade felt no resistance whatsoever.

"Hey Astakron…

These zombies… if they are this slow… I could leave it to the Skeleton Labourers to clean up, right?"

'Mm… well right now that might be true but later, you'll have trouble sending them out alone.' Astakron said while Dante cut off another head of a zombie that came out from the Grey Fog.

"How so…?" Dante kicked another zombie that appeared to the ground before stabbing the machete straight into the head of the creature, completely ending the undead creature.

'Your powers, abilities and skills that were developed as a Hero are locked on Earth for good reason, however within the confines of the Foundation Bases you have some control over that strength.

Especially here on Terronious, you'll eventually need to use your Hero powers to fight the undead creatures, or zombies like you said, once they mutate by the Energy being spread out by the Tree of Beginnings.

The Energy the tree is spreading out currently might be slow, so the undead creatures might not mutate right away but over time they will and that's when you can use your locked powers.

However, that won't transfer over to the Skeleton Labourers, so I think its best you have them fighting side by side with you now.' Astakrons connection with the System let him know much more than Dante would typically have found out on his own through trial and error.

Seeing the value in what Astakron had said, Dante decided to use the Skeleton Labourers to clean up the undead creatures, but not right away.

He called over 3 Skeleton Labourers to pick up the bodies of the zombies and take them back to the Hub while he continued clearing any opposition.

.

Stepping near the Grey Fog, Dante noticed it cleared up around him within a metre radius.

Astakron let Dante know the more he explored through the fog, the faster it would clear up with the Tree of Beginnings taking up the area as part of its controlled space.

There was a limit on how much it could manage at its current level, peaking at 60 acres but once the Tree of Beginnings levelled up there wouldn't be a problem.

Taking this into consideration, Dante decided to walk around the several houses to remove the Grey Fog before slowly spreading out to clear the rest of the surrounding fog.

After a couple hours of walking around, killing zombies and removing the Grey Fog, Dante finally walked into one of the homes, forcing the door open through brute strength.

The Skeleton Labourers were carrying on with their work either planting closer around the Hub or were picking up the bodies of the undead and taking them back.

Only one Skeleton Labourer joined Dante entering one of the houses, which left the former Hero absolutely stunned after witnessing the various advance technological products littered through the home.

There was a robot in the long corridor of the home, obviously out of battery, but after inspecting the futuristic machine, Dante assumed it was an all-inclusive housekeeper robot which probably cleaned the residence while also doing chores like washing clothes, dishes, folding laundry and so on.

Of course, he would need to open the machine or charge it to see what it could truly do, however the other pieces of technology in the house caught his attention.

In what appeared to be the lounge room, there was a unique looking sofa with seemed to have various functions beside a charging function for a phone or gaming console remote, but he wasn't able to test it out since it lacked electricity.

The more Dante walked around the house and explored; various unique products came into view which were intriguing both appearance wise and function that would leave him guessing.

Only a few items were easily made out by Dante such as a pair of glasses he found by a bedside upstairs which appeared to be Virtual Reality headwear that could be synced with a phone.

Dante realised most items in the house, including furniture, had some sort of technological variation that put them decades ahead of the current advancements on Earth.

Leaving the house, Dante decided to drive over the Ute so he could take some items from the home and try to learn their purpose back on Earth or near the Hub.

His only issue was the lack of knowledge about electrical engineering which would be handy when taking apart the unique items, but he knew someone that would be perfect for the job instead.

Packing away some of the smaller items with the help of the Skeleton Labourer, Dante drove the Ute back to the Hub.

Before heading back to Earth, he entered the small campground within the logged wall and found the bodies of the zombies placed to a side.

Because he was in the confines of the space near the Tree of Beginnings, Dante heard the System Notifications ringing off in his head.

.

..

Looking at the various options available to him, Dante went with Option C, and watched the Tree of Beginnings bloom a dull green fruit within mere second before it fell from the branch and cracked on impact with the ground.

Clawing its way out of the egg like structure, which was several feet tall, a dull green coloured green stepped out with beady black eyes with a height of 3 and a half feet.

With only a loincloth wrapped around its waist, and its finger and toenails protruding out sharply like a claw, Dante felt the sharp facial features of the goblin were similar to how they were portrayed within media.

The little goblin looked up at Dante before gracefully dropping down to one knee, "Master… You have given me life…

How may I serve you?" Dante saw the eagerness in the beady black eyes of the goblin and felt a little weirded out, but Astakrons words helped him understand the goblin better.

'Goblins, well this variant of the Goblin species, are quite the obedient bunch since they are treated like slaves by their own kind.

Honestly if you give it a name, it will see you as its God for all of eternity.'

Dante looked at the goblin who was staring right back at him, though Dante couldn't figure out what the creature was thinking looking into the darkness of his eyes.

"Tell me what you can do…" Dante asked, while the goblin remained kneeling and spoke of his natural traits and abilities.

"Yes Master,

I am able to build and repair whatever you may need of me, however based off my current level, there is a limit to what I am able to build or work on."

"If I were to ask you to make another one of these, could you, do it?" Dante handed over the axe he was using to kill the zombies, which was made from high carbon steel.

.

"M-Master… what kind of material is this?!"

The goblin couldn't contain his erratic emotions after holding the axe within his hands.

After twisting the axe around in his hands, a couple of times, and inspected the blade closely, the goblin found it hard to breathe in and out as his small mind tried to understand its creation.

"It's made of High Carbon Steel, a product from my world…

Most tools are made from it, so I wanted to know if you could work with it or not."

"Of course, of course!

I'll need some equipment but I'm positive I can use this material to make whatever you might need, Master!" the goblins fanatic behaviour began to worry Dante, especially after the goblin started to jump and dance after hearing he would be working with Steel.

"Alright, calm down…

From now on you'll call me boss.

If you listen to my instructions well enough and show me initiative with your work, then I'll give you a name."

The goblins eyes couldn't stop sparkling when he heard the possibility of earning a name and started jumping even harder than before until Dante grabbed a hold of him before he flew off into the sky.

"Enough…" Dantes cold eyes were enough to bring the goblins emotions into control.

Placing him back on the ground after Dantes aura completely shattered the overly joyous mood of the goblin, it looked around the area and saw the poorly made wall as well as the Skeleton Labourers and asked his Master some questions before starting work.

"Mas- I mean Boss… are those Skeleton Labourers under your control?"

"Indeed, they are."

"Then may I use them as I need?" Dante wasn't ready to hear the goblin ask for his own workers, but he paused for a moment before replying with his own question.

"Wait… you can control them?"

"Of course!

Even though I am only Level 1, Skeleton Labourers are considered lower than my kind in status and ability as Monsters." The grin on the goblins face was quite the terrifying sight for any sane person, but Dante was far from normal and found it quite cute.

"Alright… come with me."

Dante led the goblin out of the confined walls and took him over to the Ute, where he yet again lost control of its emotions after seeing the vehicle.

"What is this contraption?!

Wait! What kind of materials is this made from?!

Such a practical device with even storage at the back!!"

Dante slammed his fist on the goblins head before passing over one of the smaller appliances he picked up from one of the houses he ransacked.

"This?!

B-Boss…

Can I pull this apart?" Dante nodded in approval and let the goblin do as it needed, yet he wasn't prepared for his crude method of inspecting the item.

Before Dante knew it, the goblin used the axe and smashed it down on the item, breaking it apart into various pieces.

Dantes eye started to twitch uncontrollably however he stopped any rash decision after noticing the goblin carefully inspecting each and every piece before reconstructing the item back together,

Stunned, Dante was about to ask the goblin how he could recreate the item after destroying it, but the goblin had an answer already prepared in anticipation.

"Mas-… Boss, one of my natural traits is being able to repair a broken item without requiring tools since my fingernails can make the necessary cuts and incisions as needed.

They are quite versatile so its easy for me to smash the item and reconstruct it so I can learn what its function is."

Dante couldn't help himself anymore and asked about the item in the goblin's hands.

"What have you learnt then…?"

"Umm… this thing is called a Pulse Sanitiser.

From what I can tell, this item will send out an electromagnetic wave which is harmless to the body, but it is able to clean away any harmful bugs or diseases on surfaces within a certain amount of area.

This would be an ideal item for Healer Mages or Paladins, since they would be able to leave this within a church to clean the space clean of any bacteria that could be harmful to the body during recovery."

The goblin used his knowledge of the world it originated from to give Dante some idea of its application in the real world, but the goblins words left Dante with more questions even though he was utterly stunned by the application of the item.

"Do you remember much about your previous world?"

"I have all of my memories till around my death, so certain information about the other world is retained within my mind." the goblin felt a little jittery not doing anything with his hands right now, but he didn't dare to do anything unnecessary with his master beside him.

"For now… I'll leave you here on Terronious.

I've bought some stuff from Earth to help make the space cosier, but you can do as you please for now.

Make sure the Skeleton Labourers are planting everything and after everything is ready for harvest, that they don't damage the goods because I'll be selling them back home.

Other than that, do what you feel like." Dante had taken everything out of the Utes tray, including the few items from the house he'd gathered and left them to the goblin to play around with.

"Ohh by the way, your name is…"
