family breakfast

A week went by since Sora got Lin, and the little lion helped Sora get back on his feet. for the first few days, Sora could be seen outside, showing the lion around and spoiling the hell out of the adorable thing. the little thing became his best friend in no time, one couldn't see them apart.

"Lin, can you go wake up Sora, his father should be returning soon." Sora's mother said calmly while flipping through a book, Lin who was walking around the mansion nodded slightly before rushing up the stairs towards Sora's room, which had a dog door installed for it to enter and leave as it pleases.

Lin entered Sora's room, Sora was extremely clean, for its size one might think the maids would have missed something, but nope. the floors were dust free, being so clean that one could eat off them. even under the bed was clean, this was all because Sora had OCD.

the Lion jumped onto Sora's bed and went on to start liking his face, Sora tried to push her away, but upon feeling Lin's fur, he realized who it was. normally his OCD wouldn't stand for such a thing as someone licking him, but Lin was special.

"it's 5 in the morning," Sora said with a frown while looking at Lin, who simply went on to remove his blanket. Lin jumped off the bed and looked at him, waiting for him to follow. with Qi filling the world, animals evolved to become more intelligent,

thousands of years ago, humans had to fight animals as their position as the ruler of the earth was about to be knocked down, no true winner was picked, but the world was divided from that war.

in that war, the human race lost Europe, Australasia, parts of Asia, and parts of Africa. As for the sea, it became the land of sea life, only those wanting to risk their life would go into the deep sea.

Sora sighed and got up to follow Lin, Lin took him downstairs where his mother was, currently reading a book.

"Your father would be here soon along with your siblings, go and get dressed for dinner." His mother said softly, stunning Sora slightly. Sora was the youngest out of everyone in his family, he had 2 elder brothers and 1 elder sister.

to say the least, Sora being so weak caused him to be looked down on by most of the family, but his mother who married into the family didn't mind much. like the others, Sora was not like some wild animal, instead, he was more like her, so she taught Sora to begin business management, and to her shock, Sora had a good for this,

Sure he threw it all away as he wanted to be with a girl, which enraged her to no limits, but she came to unwilling to accept this seeing how happy he was with her.

"Sigh... yeah," Sora said with a tired look. Sora has become the disappointment of the family, his average talent became the shame of the household. 17 years old and he was only at level 4, while others his age were at level 16 or higher.

Sora went on to go get ready for breakfast, by the time he was done, his father and his siblings had arrived. Sora went downstairs and found them sitting at the table full of food, along with some new faces.

"..." Everyone's eyes landed on Sora who was currently holding Lin, Sora ignored them and simply walked to his seat, and placed Lin down. Lin went on to go under his chair, and simply waited for Sora to give her the good he didn't want,

"First a cripple and now a lion? boy, you should spend more time cultivating." a tall man with long golden blonde hair said with a deep frown while looking at Sora,

"I have no talent, I will just stay with Mom and manage the businesses," Sora said calmly, using his mom as a shield, causing his father to have nothing else to say.

Sora looked to his side and saw his eldest sister, Ember trying to feed Lin who was under his chair. the two eyes locked for a moment before Sora ignored her.

Ember was a beautiful woman with long blonde hair, unlike Sora her eyes were an ember red, she was a knight, and she could always be seen with her golden red armor on. She was not much of a talker, she wasn't cold her anything, she just found it pointless to waste her breath on something pointless.

"so, how were the front lines?" Sora's mother asked calmly, looking at the people who came along with her husband and children.

"the animals are powerful, and their numbers are great, the war is not ending any time soon." Sora's father said softly, the main reason why humans put aside their wars was because of the animals. for some animals, more than 20 humans of the same level were needed to take down one animal of a similar level.

their might was overwhelming, forcing the humans to have no choice but to join forces to fight them. because the animal's overwhelming strength, forced the humans to get creative, forcing them to make more weapons to try and shrink the gap in strength.

Sora calmly eat while listening in, their talk was pretty much what was happening on the front line. his siblings were all still in school, by due to their strength they were capable of joining the front.

his sister for example was at level 27, she was the second oldest. behind her was the second oldest brother, who was at level 25, while the oldest sibling was at level 29. they were all powerful and talented within their fields.

Sora was not jealous or anything about them having higher talent or anything of the kind, he didn't care much about such annoying stuff. simply having a reason to live is something that he considered priceless.

anyways, after breakfast, Sora went out for a walk with Lin. In truth, he was just avoiding his siblings he considered them all to be annoying. but on his walk, Sora was stopped by someone.

"So, you the trash of the Golden-Lion family tree." a young man asked while sizing Sora up and down. Sora frowned slightly while looking into the young man's eyes, he seemed to be related to one of the people who came here with his father,

"That's right, excuse me," Sora said calmly before stepping to the side to go on with his day, but once again he was blocked, this time by someone else. Sora's brows tightened slightly, before looking around only to find he was surrounded. Lin seeing his showed her teeth, which annoyed the young man that a small cat would day show its teeth towards him.

Sora who was looking for a way to escape suddenly froze when he heard a cry, he looked towards the first guy who blocked his path and saw Lin was in his hands. Sora quickly moved to get Lin, but he was grabbed by the others,

"oh... what are you going to do if I kill this thing?" He asked seeing how Sora was glaring at him, it only enraged him at a small fly like him would dare to glare at him. he should be lowering his head and not daring to prove him.

with a swing of his head, LIn stepped to the ground, causing her to scream in pain. Sora's heart ached to see this, but his world suddenly froze as the young man's foot came shooting down, shattering Lin's head. head matter flew all over the place, over Sora's clothing

"wow, I almost feel bad. what a sorry sight, you bring shame to your family." the young man said seeing Sora crying over an animal. shaking his head, he had his followers throw Sora to the ground before they went on with their day, they couldn't cause too much trouble or else they too would get in serious trouble.

"..." Sora slowly got up and looked at Lin's dead body. He slowly removed the tears from his eyes, before picking up Lin's body. this was the only thing he had that minded him of her, and the new friend he came to love dearly. and now it was destroyed, stumped to death.

Sora went back to the mansion, to the back where a grave was made. Sora bit his lower lips, holding back any tears which might drip, before going on to grab a shovel and put Lin to rest next to other graves, which held his ex-lover's body.

"What is that boy doing?" within an office, Sora's father looked out only to see Sora covered in blood, his mother looked out and was shocked at the scene. She quickly left, causing Sora's father to follow in confusion along with 2 other men who they were having a meeting with.

"Sora..." Sora's mother froze seeing the crushed body of Lin, when Sora turned to look at her, her heart ached to see his eyes, where the whites were red. Sora didn't say anything and simply returned to digging the hole.

"since when did this place turn into a graveyard?" Sora's father asked with a cold frown, but when his wife glared at him, he went quiet and looked at Sora who was digging a grave.

"Sora what happened." Sora's mother asked softly, seeing Sora put the body within the grave he made. but Sora ignored her and simply covered the grave

"... I will take care of it myself," Sora said in a chilling voice, his voice filled with a thick killing intent that caused even the likes of his father to feel unease. the 2 men also felt unease while looking at Sora, just how could a kid give such a thick killing intent?

Sora ignored them and simply walked off, and went to a building not too far from the mansion. putting his fingerprints on the figure print scanner, the door opened he went on to enter.

because of his mother, Sora got into business management. there were many buildings he bought or built while learning, and to experiment, this was one of those failed experiments. but he never sold or rebuilt the place, instead, he kept it. it was a gym, this world didn't focus much on training the body, instead absorbing Qi and breaking through,

Sora had no talent for cultivation, instead, he worked out. although he had didn't work out ever since his ex came around. in his past life, Sora with the help of drugs and hard work managed to build a body filled with muscles capable of acting as a shield, and to a limited degree made him bulletproof.

he was trained in all forms of martial arts, was skilled with the sword, and reached a point where was a step away from before a superhuman. he pushed himself to the absolute peak of what a human could reach. this shorted his lifespan by a lot, but he had his reasons

"In this new life, I shall go beyond the human limits," Sora said softly, Sora was not the type who talked things out. you hurt him, and he shall make you feel the most pain. anyone who gets in his way shall follow,

Sora picked up some weights and began working out. there were 3 things he needed to do before he could take the next step to get revenge. he needed to regain the same mental mastery he did from his past life, he needed the same level of body mastery of the past, and a powerful build to go with it... weapons would of course help.

the next thing he shall do was get information on those who dared to hurt what he loved, he already knew a few of them, and they were famous nobles within the cities. Sora would start them with, before going on to the one who started all of this.

but that could take months, months which he was more than willing to wait. he was not the type to rush things, he was the time to wait to make sure whoever crossed them suffered, and by suffering he was not talking about physical pain. he was talking about both psychological and physical suffering. he would make you fully regret your choices, before sending you off to hell which should be more peaceful.
