Reborn to be the strongest God

After Centuries of being the Demonlord, Gerar quits. Why must he torture men when it's no longer fun? Why must he conquer the world when there's nothing to gain from it? Why must he be the demon lord when there's nothing left to challenge? So, he decides to quit and just dies. But instead of being reborn as a weak demon or even a human, he gets reborn as an Angel and thus his journey to supreme godhood begins! . .. ... Hi, Yet here- So, this is a fantasy story but there are also sci-fi elements. There's a harem but Mc's not particularly into romance. This story is basically a culmination of the things I find interesting and hopefully, you guys will find it interesting too (It'll keep on evolving into different coherent stories as the volumes pile up). This'll also be my largest planned novel yet, so let's see how that turns out. I'll try to keep the updates regular and will release bonus chapters if I can. In return, I expect votes. Oh yeah, I do have a server. https://discord.gg/vnnbHCJ4Sn Thank you for reading; I wish you a good day.

Despite the headmistress' pestering, Sarveisa was still on her way back with Mihael to their new small apartment.

"How about we buy some furniture and things to decorate the place? Wouldn't that be fun?" She said, on the way.

They were descending.

Towards the commercial district.

"How?"

"Think about it. The whole place would be our canvas and we could just design things however we like!"

Mihael's face twisted-

'Looks so annoyed…' But Sarveisa giggled. "And we have to do some shopping for you too!"

She'd already set up the school as a teleport point. So next time, she could just warp there, and she could do the same when she'd want to get back home.

However-

Today-

Yeah- she had plans to first do some shopping.

After all- she had to buy Mihael his uniform and various other things.

And oddly-

She happened to be more excited…

Somewhere along the way-

Mihael also seemed to have gotten a bit intrigued.

After all, now that he thought about it. In his last life, he never really went out shopping, now did he?

***

He wore the uniform-

Black dress with white accents. And a small G badge on his left shoulder indicated he was a god candidate; soft fabric, yet felt slightly tough on touch. Very, very comfortable… and also kind of expensive.

Meanwhile, almost everyone else had a white dress with black accents; typical students.

Mihael found himself the center of attention as he walked through the halls.

More than yesterday.

Some were even bowing their heads to him whenever they saw him.

Meanwhile- the girls were fawning over him as usual.

It only annoyed him though.

As it was the same even in his last life.

Women just flocking around him; all wanting to be his woman…

At one point he had to put up an anti-woman barrier around himself which took a good month for him to develop at the time.

And he was definitely considering doing that again this time.

But he couldn't do that now. After all, Sarveis was also a woman.

'Actually, why not develop a new spell and-' Yeah-

He was bored of his current abilities anyway.

So, lips curling up, the little angel changed his direction.

Instead of going to class, Mihael went straight to the library-

A long white place with three sections divided into three distinct floors.

He browsed through books.

Almost all of them, he'd read.

However- there were some new ones in the restricted section.

Nothing caught his fancy though.

'I guess, I'll just have to experiment a bit…'

"Class would start soon you know," said a girl next to him.

Slightly older than the girls he'd been getting ogled at by.

Perhaps a senior?

"Not interested."

"For a first year, you sure have a lot of attitude." A smirk. Blue eyes, silky greenish yellow hair, and though she was older than most- at best she was thirteen; a certain charm to that smile. "Though I suppose, being a god candidate does give you that privilege."

A high angel.

"Hmm… I'd say it's more of Elegance than attitude, but everyone has their own opinion, I suppose." Mihael didn't even bother giving her a glance.

"Elegance, huh?" A faint smile… yet her eyes drooped down a little. She cleared her throat. "Alexdandrite Rose Serin" She spread her hand.

Staring from his peripherals- "Mihael Zable." Mihael didn't accept the shake and brought his eyes back to the books he was staring at.

"What are you looking for?"

"Selective barriers-"

"They're over there-"

"Those are worthless. I'm looking for something better."

"Worthless? They're fourth-year books you know…"

"I've already learned up to ninth year."

The library at lord Zamas' place only had up to ninth year books. And this library's restricted section had up to year eight, as this academy itself was only up to eighth grade.

"Oh…." Slightly dubious. "What's the basic principle of a selective barrier."

Some of the curious students were staring at them.

"The ability to recognize foe vs ally."

"That's true but I'm asking how it works."

"By registering some of your ally's mana signatures. However, the more complex your spell, the more mana you'd require, and thus it would be impossible unless they were standing next to you."

"That's right…" She mumbled. "But you want something that'd make it possible even without them standing next to you?"

Miheal gave her a stare- almost analyzing if she had mind-reading capabilities before letting out a faint sigh. "Yes. That is correct."

"Funny- I'm looking for the same thing. Would you like to combine forces?"

'So, she's also after me… sigh…'

"I'm sorry but I don't require your assistance."

"I could provide books going far more in-depth. Actually, not just books, I can be a very effective test subject, wouldn't you agree?"

"Hmm… then you wouldn't mind losing an arm or two from accidents, yes?"

The librarian looked haphazardly as to make out what these kids were even going on about.

"I'll have elixirs ready." And she also pulled out some books from her interdimensional pocket, which formed just next to her head as a black sphere.

She was not backing out, no.

Mihael was getting slightly annoyed at this girl's tenacity but- he had to agree- he couldn't really go back on his word, not his style.

With all that done-

The two headed to the back of the school.

A small area of grass, some trees and barely anyone around.

Classes were running at full throttle so of course there weren't anyone aside from some gardeners.

Before anything else, Mihael scanned through the books-

It took him barely five minutes.

As long as he wanted- he could read a book a minute.

But he rarely wanted that.

After all-

Most books were fun and he loved taking his time.

Not this time, however.

'As I thought…' Even higher-tier books were…

Worthless.

"Ready?" He asked. "This'll probably hurt worse than anything in your life so far-"

"Yes! And I can take it!"

And excited too!

The girl stood ten meters away- slightly nervous-

Mihael's hand forward-

Circles forming.

Not just one-

Several.

Five- then- twenty.

Fail safes.

Fail safes of fail safes!

Fail safes, of fail safes of fail safes!!!

Various colors-

Rainbow almost-

The girl stared- mesmerized. "So many-"

However-

With a faint smile.

And with a flick-

Half of the circles surrounded the girl-

Colored lightning streaking through the air-

Zap!

"ARgchhh!!!" She shrieked-

Tears forming- breath erratic-

Burns!

"So that's a failure-" He paused, staring at the crying girl. "Want to continue?"

"Please-" A groan. "Continue."

Mouth widening, a big wide grin. "Very well!"

The very academy shook….
