They weren't really harmed but they weren't permitted to go back to their ship.
And although technically under house arrest, since the house was really big, they didn't feel all that constrained.
"Why didn't you put up a fight or-" Rose said.
The three and the guard, Alija were just taking a break on one of the upper floors, looking out through an open terrace.
They weren't being monitored or tailed by other guards.
"This seemed more interesting," Mihael said.
They were put on house arrest on the basis of trespassing.
Technically they could have been exempt from that since this was a case of misunderstanding but Mihael never even bothered to defend the case and he just accepted the whole thing because it seemed more fun.
He'd rebelled, taken over, or even outright destroyed civilizations before.
