A girl with grey eyes.

A pulsing, beating sensation was felt in Cerys's head. She felt as if she'd barely closed her eyes when a warm hand touched her forehead. Cerys groaned, wincing as the drapes were thrown back to welcome the morning sun.

"My lady, you have to wake up now" Surprisingly, it was a voice she couldn't recognize. Cerys forced her eyes open to look at who was this strange new person that was with her.

A young lady stood by her bed dressed in a grey tunic and black trousers and boots. Since she arrived in this world this was the first time she had seen a lady in trousers. She had asked Tala for one but wasn't provided one because she was a lady and wasn't meant to dress like that.

The young lady had pale skin with eyes as grey as limestone. The figure looked like the one she saw yesterday. Though it was just a silhouette, she felt like it was her.

Cerys throat felt parched that she couldn't form a coherent sentence and had to force the word out. "Wa-ter"

The lady nodded and rushed out, not long after she came back with a cup of water which Cerys drained within seconds. She felt a bit better enough to talk.

"Who are you?" She asked, a confused look on her face.

The girl bowed her head a little. "Reyna, my lady. Of house Swain. And your lady in waiting" The girl raised her head and started into Cerys's eyes as if she was viewing her soul. "I was a bit surprised to find out that you could see again and thought maybe you were possessed especially when they said you lost all your memories. But I have checked but your soul still feels the same"

Cerys gulped. How can her soul feel the same? She only accepted the name Cerys and whatever responsibilities that came with it since she had to start afresh, so how? And how did this girl even know?

Cerys tried to act as poised as she could. Though Tala said she and Cerys were childhood friends, she couldn't seem to find a bond with her since this Reyna was a bit cold.

"First off why would you think I was possessed? Second, how would you know if my soul is the same?"

Reyna shook her head. "You have forgotten everything" She spoke as she strolled towards the desk in the room and leaned against it. "I am from the tropical region my lady, the only citizen of the House Black continent to find herself out in the world. I have a rare gift of seeing souls and talking to the spirit. I have been talking to them about your eyes on certain spiritual journeys. Your father had hired me for this power I held to help you. Seeing that you no longer need that I would just be a mere lady-in-waiting"

"You are a psychic then?" Cerys asked.

Reyna looked truly confused. "A… sidekick?"

Cerys frowned. "It's psychic. Spelt P-s-y-c-h-i-c. It's someone who can see the other world"

Reyna nodded, repeating the words to herself. "I see. You still have your way with these strange words that you come up with. Now that you can see maybe you can fulfill your dream by becoming a librarian"

Yeah…that was not her plan. "Are your eyes grey because of this ability?"

Reyna shrugged. "Maybe. I was born this way and I can see perfectly. Just with other shades of color. Shades of souls"

Cerys's mouth was wide open. This world keeps on surprising her more and more. "Were you the person who helped me yesterday?"

"Yes. But the healing was done by you. Seems as if you lost your memories you also lost the ability to heal your wounds. So I shared some of my aura with you"

"I can…heal myself? And you can share aura? What?" As much as she finds this world interesting to learn more about, she also found that the information overwhelms her.

Reyna sighed. She seems to be frustrated by the continuous questions asked her. "My lady you are a crystal being. You can heal yourself with your core energy. Which have been dull since you are blind. Now that you can see. You would be able to train to find your core energy and be the heir you are meant to be"

Though Cerys still found herself confused she was able to get the full picture with the information being fed to her.

She got up, removed the blanket from her body, and placed her feet on the floor. Whatever nerves she felt, she kept them hidden from her as she let out an exaggerated sigh.

"I brought breakfast in case you are hungry. Cream tarts and sausages. I also brought you the mushroom soup you like" She walked towards the table and brought a tray covered with cloth towards Cerys. Reyna tapped the tray double times and it floated in front of me as if it was a table.

Cerys had to look below to see if there was anything but nothing.

Reyna smiled. "Special mechanism made by the chief creator himself"

Cerys nodded and decided to take a scoop from the mushroom soup first. She hated it. Disgusting. How can someone like this? Tastes like wood.

Still, she gave Reyna a reassuring smile. "Delicious," She said through gritted teeth. She gulped down the rest of the pomegranate juice and wiped her mouth with the napkin. "Reyna…as you have noticed my father seems to have the intention to kill me, do you know why is that?"

Reyna who was now sitting down on the sofa shook her head. "He never showed such behavior in the past. He always cared for you and treated you like a delicate egg?"

This made her doubtful. "Really? But why did he act so differently now…used his powers against me and tried to kill me? Is it because I can see? Am I a threat to him?"

Reyna smirked. "You are not a threat. You are just not his daughter"
