Chapter 99: Corpse Mound Official

It was rare to see a Corpse Mound Official be this aggressive so near the wall in June. The summer equated for long days and short nights, it made the Undead uneasy and lethargic.

Telekinesis Illusory Claw

Fiery Fist Nine Dragons

After taking care of waves of undead Cao Guang was slowing being tired out. He had summoned the Iron Sand Golem at this point and helping them soldiers hold up even more zombies as a familiar Imperial Mage showed up.

It was Zu Mingli, the person who tested him for the Sergeants exam a few years ago. The man's cultivation had not stayed stagnant. He had went from a single element Advanced mage to what he was today.

Zu Mingli came flying using his Winged equipment to save time, he had prepared his Advanced spell in the air before dropping to a height of twenty metres.

Eyes of the Rock Demon Petrification

The Corpse Mound Official was frozen stiff for a brief while as he prepared another spell.

Plummeting Rays Holy Word

Hundreds of Swords made of light attacked the zombie as the soldiers kept the minions and warriors busy. Even Cao Guang was motivated to make a move against the Commander now.

He possessed the Little Flame Belle and drew his Star Pattern as the presence of Fire element skyrocked in the region. Flames entwined around him and gave off a sacred halo. The soldiers who watched on felt a deep urge to prostate themselves and worship the figure enclad in Fire, before the rational thoughts kicked in.

Meteorite Fist Nine Dragons

The nine dragons strick the Corpse Mound Official hard enough to push it back for twenty metres, saving Zu Mingli from having to cast another restraining spell.

Eyes of the Rock Demon Heavenly Yarns

The spell completely froze the Official as it soon turned to powder. Zu Mingli cast his eyes downwards and found a figure he had great hopes for during the Sergeants exam.

He flew down to the land to meet Cao Guang.

" I see that you are close to catching up to me "

" Hehehe, it's just a fluke"

" As if, the last I heard you had left the army for an excursion hadn't you? Are you back"

"Not quite"

Zu Mingli's teammates came up to him to inform about another area that needed covering as he said his farewell.

Cao Guang looked at the man's Magic wing equipment and pondered whether he should buy a pair as well. He didn't have the movement spell of space element yet or any other movement spells for that matter.

A pair magic wings might save his life at some point and he had the resources to do that, barely. He could just hunt some more Warriors to sell some of the loot to make money right?

Cao Guang went back to room he was staying in after finishing up for the night. Morning he needed to sell his loot worth about twenty five million and by a pair of magic wings. He also needed new defensive equipment for the Advanced level.

He had slowly turned from a three billion rich man to a poor bloke in insane speed. Cao Guang wondered if he should spent the money on perhaps getting the Demon element.

He had the minimum requirements needed for the stuff. He didn't want to become the Sacred Evil Demon with his eight spirits but a temporary loan type demon with a durable flesh seemed a good deal to him.

The presence of Cao Guang the native had deterred him before, he wasn't sure how the extra soul was going to impact the initial transformation using the Blood Sarira.

He had been pondering this question ever since the soul problem has been solved, yet he thought he lacked the strength to see the truth of the matter and was debating on whether to wait and on this night he finally decided not to attain the demon element.

The magic association was going to ban it in a few years anyway, why draw everyone's ire when there were better and easier ways. He was not rejecting power in any form or shape just changing the method like he wished and making sure nothing went wrong in the process.

Cao Guang woke up the next day and bought an exceptional pair of wings for 95 million and sold the loot he held for twenty five leaving him with 30 million for everything else.
