Chapter 98 Six Months (4)

Six more months passed by, Cao had spent every day in Ancient Capital again, fighting Undead and gaining resources. Another such night Fenrir and Little Flame Belle accompanied him on his journey outside the walls.

After waking up from the coma, he had spent some time in few other places as well that was until he recognised none of them came close to Ancient Capital.

It was a headquarters level city and had certain level of resources waiting to be sold and he didn't have go searching for demon beasts to fight, they just crawled out of their tombs crawing human blood, saving him a lot of the effort.

He had improved both Lightning and Space Nebulas to the third tier in the past six months. With the boost provided by Little Tora pendant it was kind of inevitable.

However the break through to Advanced level proved to still be a problem especially with the Summoning element. Innate Soul seeds were hard enough to break through with Innate Heaven grade seeds were worse.

He had improved every Nebula to the fourth tier using 196 Soul Essences of the Minion level in total. He could vaguely feel the barrier stopping the stars from multiplying with the spiritual energy he held in every Nebula except for the Summoning one.

Even forth tier Nebula didn't let him feel it just yet, so without any help from the Little Tora pendant Cao Guang had no choice to focus on the Fire Nebula first.

This news affected Fenrir more than anyone as Cao Guang had already acquired a Commander level soul of a Lightning Force Wolf from the Raiju line of Andes with Lin Feng's help. Without the help from a Lightning Galaxy Fenrir's odds were too low and this deterred Cao Guang from trying.

He had saved for another Six Months and brought his savings to 600 million before spending 500 of that on Fenrir's soul. Cao Guang felt he needed another six months to feel the Summoning Nebula's barrier.

As for Little Flame Belle's resources he had a plan in his mind and in actuality if not for the successful heist of Galaxy Veins in Bohai, he would be penniless right now.

The Calamity Fire had grown to 2.5 x multiplier over the course of six months, he needed to help her evolve sooner rather than later. It also let him have the effects of a decent Soul grade seed without the side effects. His two spirit grade flames multiplied his spells by 5 x now.

His Space element remained the same more or less, at this level of Mental Strength he couldn't improve his space element anymore. He needed to reach the intermediate level among Mental Strength for that. But the reduction in spiritual energy consumption had made it more malleable in Battle.

Cao connected another Star Pattern as Fenrir and Little Flame Belle covered his back and brought the undead together.

Thunderbolt Lightning Disaster.

Fourth tier Lightning spread around the group of zombies and smote them to ashes as flickering blobs of soul remnants made their way to the Little Tora pendant's inner world.

"Great another Soul Essence, selling these should cover the cost of some Soul grade seed fragments"

Cao Guang had regained his privileges for three step tower as long as he turned up for the challenge every two weeks. Since Dean Xiao didn't need to pay for Little Flame Belle's resources anymore he had gotten his privileges as rank one of the lightning institute.

He had hardened his ability to fight an army of beasts even more the last six months. He alone could face up to ten Warriors at his peak, he just needed some time to kill them.

Cao Guang had plans to leave the ancient capital after this week, but he would return with Luo Heng for the Slaughter later this year. Song Xia and Gao Xuan were off on long term missions and had no free time for a while now.

" Pay attention that's a Corpse Mound Official"

Cao Guang heard a Lieutenant he recognised alert his cadets as he turned his head.

"Report to the Captain immediately and fall back now"

Cao Guang observed and found no Advanced mages nearby as he witnessed the Corpse Mound Official make his way towards the wall.

He knew he wasn't strong enough to face a Commander even if was a just a Lesser one, he simply helped the soldiers out by killing a few of its followers and reduced the pressure on them.
