Chapter 90: Viscera Hunters (2)

Ironically enough the viscera of Viscera Hunters were a great resource for Water mages.

Cao Guang instructed Fenrir to climb across the rocks and found two military mages facing three dozen Viscera Hunters. They were peak Intermediate mages to have survived so far, that and the fact the battle was now taking place on soil.

Cao Guang looked to the side and found traces of a colouring pigment usually used in military emergency flares. He knew they had asked for reinforcements and that they were running late.

Cao Guang let Fenrir attack a couple of Viscera Hunters as Little Flame Belle came out of the contract space after his message. He had slowly trained the little one to come out of the contract space on will.

Cao Guang casted another Dimensional Summoning as he brought forth more help. The Iron Sand Golem needed to hold of another Viscera Hunter.

Cao Guang took over his flame wizard mode and prepared his strongest spell on the sidelines before charging in to the midst of Viscera Hunters. He wanted cut of the second line of the Viscera Hunters and give the two mage enough time to kill all of the first line.

Meteorite Fist Nine Dragons

Cao Guang did not hold back Prairies Flames or Calamity Fire as a multiplier of 4.5 x assaulted the Viscera Hunters with a spell that could rival a single hit of an Advanced spell. Even newbie advanced mages with a spirit grade seed could not produce a stronger effect with their Sky Flame Funeral.

The nine dragons actually drew a chasm between the Viscera Hunters as the first half a dozen were directly eviscerated and the rest were left with serious burns.

A mangling claw came right at Cao Guang before had any time to dodge, as he concentrated his energy faster than ever before.

Telekinesis Void Wall

He had connected a Star Orbit with a single thought for the first time as he eyes grew a bit darker shade of red.

The Little Flame Belle was furious with these creatures and activated a power she had lying dormant in her blood with Cao Guang help as he flew back a little as a result of recoil and needed Fenrir to watch his back.

Hundred Burning Feathers

Little Flame Belle activated this spell far stronger than she ever had as feathers encapsulated the remaining Viscera Hunters. The Little Flame Belle had take initiative during their possession form and even used the Power of Prairie Flames to attack.

She had managed to do something far above her level, as she drew his spirit flame using reverse feedback of sorts. As long he wasn't using his fire element, the Little Flame Belle could borrow his flames from him as long as they were close by.

The second line of Viscera Hunters were all either dying, dead or retreating back to the water. Cao Guang turned around and looked at the two soldiers who had gotten the situation under control after he cut the number of their opponents to eighteen.

His two summoned beasts were handling their opponents well enough as well. Fenrir had slain his first two opponents and moved on to another pair.

Looking at the space available to him, he seperated from Little Flame Belle and casted his own spells.

Space Rhythm Delay

A silver rhomboid held three Viscera Hunters in place as one of military mages destroyed them with a Wind Disc.

After a few moments all the Viscera Hunters who failed to retreat had died on the beach under Fenrir's claws or Flame Belle's flames.

The two military men came up to him and did a military gesture for saving their life.

"Thank you for helping us, we weren't expecting anyone else to be here other than military mages"

Cao Guang chatted with the mages who actually were brothers and introducing themselves as Zhang Qihu the elder brother and Zhang Dan the younger one.

Cao Guang felt the names were somehow familiar to him. Oddly enough neither their strength or elements triggered any connection with a significant character so he brushed the feeling off.

Cao Guang collected more than enough organs for his mission and anything else that would belong to him according to the hunter code.

He met up with Zhou Zhu the next day and handed in the materials for his reward before selling everything extra to the Hunter Union. He was left with 360 million after the excursion.
