Chapter 143: When Families clash (2)

The Silent Deadly Bolt tore through the rough skin and the papules on the skin of the Frog Commander, it winced in pain as the damage was done.

But a Commander was not so easily defeated, Cao Guang had no choice than to use his boot equipment and fourth tier Earth Wave to continuously dodge water bullets launched by the frog.

It's mouth and guts were large enough to store several litres of water which was then compressed and ejected to mimic bullets.

Even if his defences could block it, Cao Guang would never be reckless enough to do it. He would undoubtedly be pushed back by the force of water and that brief window was enough for the Commander to close the distance between them.

That's when Cao had a little idea, the first and third tier of Light Protection formed a mobile protection around the mage or the target while the second formed a dome of light.

The wall of light wasn't formed around him but the Frog Commander, for a moment it's casting was interrupted and the first few bullets bounced back on to itself before the wall broke.

Cao Guang had already prepared his spell as a Star Constellation formed around him.

Silent Deadly Bolt Lightning Arm

This time around the beast was on guard against his potent Lightning spells and used a clever trick of it's own. It's tongue was launched on to the ground and the beast shifted itself with it's help before abruptly jumping into the sky, forcing Cao Guang to relocate himself again.

Cao Guang used Telekinesis and Fire Bursts to make the Frog deviate slightly from it's target slightly. For now he could only cast Basic spells instantaneously.

A single thought was 0.5 seconds for a normal human being, for an advanced mage it was faster at 0.1 seconds, that's how much he had to make the Frog Commander shift from it's designated landing zone.

Rubbles of sand and rock flew up as the Commander shook its head to regain composure, as a heavy creature it wasn't used using its body like that.

Cao Guang was preparing another spell when he heard the sound of Wind Wings and a flying magic equipment fly at him at full speed. It was Gong Shi and Shi Feng, they had come to take care of the mages that were supposedly helped the Chen family.

A flicker passed through Cao Guang's eyes as he went on with his spell. He was unhappy that he wouldn't be able to deal with these two families.

His identity and authority was frozen, he couldn't even leave a useful tip to the military or Magic Associations, now these two guys had graciously flown over here to accept their punishment, why would not he be willing to mete it out to them.

"Are these the people you were talking about brother Gong?" Shi Feng asked the man flying with the Wind Magic.

" Yes, we have to finish this fast and then mask their remains there is no time to loose ".

Due to a lack of time the duo didn't try or prepare anything to hide their identity at best they wore non descriptive clothes. It wasn't like some juniors were going to beat them. It was enough to deal with them and move on to masking their presence and making this an act of demon beasts. But that might encourage the military to take action on their own, so they probably had to spend even more money to bribe the authorities to hide the death of these Hunters.

"It is pitiful, these Hunters look young, they were obviously tricked by the Chens to do their bidding without any information about the true state of things. I am suprised that they survived under the threat of a Commander for so long" Shi Feng questioned both the Chens and Gong Shi's information at the same time.

Alone it was hard for either of them to kill this Commander as well. They could at best survive and inflict some wounds on this beast. Yet these young mages had survived and were efficiently dealing with the Commander's underlings.

To be honest both of them were slightly suprised and deeply embarrassed, if they had such prowess when they were young what was the rising Chen family to them.

Song Xia and the others looked suspiciously at the these newcomers, while dealing with the Murkwater Frogs.

Cao Guang smiled as he looked at them he switched the Star Constellation to an ordinary Star Orbit as a lunar white gate appeared.
