Chapter 127: White Palace Tomb

Cao Guang observed the tomb to its minutest of details. There was nothing here that he didn't already know about.

He looked at the stairs ahead of him and the statues guarding the path, they were the second level of defences of this place, From here on out the Ancient King had laid tests for his descendants and subjects alike.

If a Foreign Super Mage or higher made their way in here after surviving the Dark Abyss there would be tests to eliminate them, on the other hand if it was his descendants then the tests would be favourable to them.

He had passed on a lot of knowledge about the Dark Abyss and White Palace Tomb through songs and legends in these villages. Cao Guang was wondering if he could beat these statues. They were only between Intermediate and Advanced levels in strength.

He didn't need to destroy them to advance, the Little Tora pendant would prevent them from activating until the heavy palace door beyond these stairs were opened.

Cao Guang wanted to venture a bit into the Palace but not past the Bridges of Life and Death, from that point on it would be his tomb as well. He didn't want to start a career as an Undead if he could help it. But he also knew that the Eternal Wicked Lotus could help his Little Tora pendant go a long way.

It was a restrictive item capable of holding anyone below the forbidden level back. Only Forbidden Curses could destroy the item as it would regenerate from anything else. Cao Guang reckoned his Little Tora pendant would reach atleast the peak of Star Galaxy level even if it didn't reach the Star Universe grade afterall it was meant to be destroyed by Forbidden Curses.

Cao Guang summouned Little Flame Belle and let her use the Prairie Flames while he established the Lightning Bliss Domain alongside the Crimson Death Domain.

He would not wait for the Wicked Eye Copper Mirror to activate these statues to activate the White Sand Demon statues. They were sitting ducks for him right now compared to them later.

Cao Guang stepped on the stairs and attacked the closest statue to him, he didn't let Flame Belle attack before he could destroy a few himself.

A purple Star Constellation appeared beneath his feet and his eyes were filled with their light.

Silent Deadly Bolt Lightning Arm

A lonely bolt of lightning exploded on the ground and destroyed four out of twenty statues on his side, the rest seemed to be outside it's range.

Cao Guang paused for a second as Little Flame Belle started destroying everything on her side indiscriminately, she could feel her father's rage through the contract.

As the rest of the statues on his side came closer, he released his spell almost turning them back to statues.

He prepared another Silent Deadly Bolt and the spell repaid his confidence by destroying seven more of the remaining sixteen.

Lightning surged in the atmosphere again as he let go of the Flowing Mud and established his domain again, this was extremely consuming on his stamina but he didn't care as much.

Lightning Bliss

The bliss of lightning took out five of the remaining nine, their number had fallen so low that Cao Guang could take them out with a single hand.

Even if he didn't use Prairie Flames, his intermediate spells were still at the fourth tier, let alone the boost provided by Lightning Bliss.

Cao Guang sat down on the ground and observed the place again and calmed down when he was sure the statues wouldn't regenerate. One couldn't be too sure in here.

When his rage had subsided he started thinking clearly again, the fight was easy enough with Flame Belle's help but he made to use every advantage he had but he had missed something tiny.

His Basic and Intermediate spells were at the fourth tier for his primary and secondary elements except the Summoning one. It was at the fifth tier for both. But he had forgotten about his Earth and Light elements for a brief while.

He was sure if he used every Soul Essence and remnant he had he could bring them to the fourth tier as well. He calmed down before beginning his expensive project once again.

The Light and Earth Nebuale quickly became the fourth tier, but he couldn't use the Intermediate versions since he had not reached the third tier with them.
