Academy (1)

I woke and started with my usual morning routine. After that, I got ready and headed towards the academy. When I reached the academy I saw Murayama standing at the entrance. I walked up to her.

"Hey, Murayama," I said.

"Hi, Kenji," she said.

"Wanna head to class together," I said.

"Sure," she replied.

As we entered the class I could already see that many of the boys already had their eyes on Murayama. I sat down next to Murayama as our sensei walked in. His name was Senji.

"Hello, class!" He said enthusiastically, "This year we will be focusing on the basics like kunai throwing and basic taijutsu as well as some chakra control. But before we start I need to see where our class strength is so tomorrow there will be a tournament. Today I will guide you around the academy."

After the guide, I left the academy and gathered leaves on the way. When I got home I placed a leaf on my forehead and tried to focus all my chakra on the leaf. The leaf didn't stay on my forehead for more than 30 seconds before it fell off.

"This is going to be harder than I thought," I murmured

I practiced my chakra control until I fell asleep. I woke up and did my usual morning routine which now was getting easier every day. I should increase the difficulty of the morning routine. I left my apartment and arrived at the academy where today there would be a tournament, which means today I would know how strong I was.

I was the first to walk into class so picked the seat closest to the back. A minute later another person walked in. He had long black hair, deep blue eyes, and a hood over his head. He took a seat right next to mine.

"Hi, my name is Daichi Uchiha," He said coldly.

"Hi, my name is Kenji," I said trying to lift the mood.

"..."

"Wanna be friends?" Daichi said slightly embarrassed.

"Sure," I said with a bright smile.

After that more students started to pour in and then sensei came in.

"Today, we will hold our tournament," Senji said "The top three students will be awarded 100 Ryo."

Although this didn't seem like much it showed that the village needed more ninjas because of the "Naruto" incident their numbers of shinobi have dropped even more than in the previous great war.

We walked to the battlegrounds, the rules were simple you just had to defeat your opponent by them admitting defeat or them stepping out of a white circle, you could use any method you wanted to. The first match was between me and Nero Nara. He wasn't much of a challenge, he didn't master his shadow position jutsu so he could only use his brain but he didn't have any power so as soon as we started he admitted defeat. The next three rounds were similar until there were 20 people left.

"Who do I have to fight next," I said as I scanned the whiteboard, then I saw my name and the person I was facing "Goya Akimichi, this will be an interesting fight."

"3. 2. 1. FIGHT!" Senji sensei shouted.

I rushed towards Goya I started with my lightning-style taijutsu, the concept of the lightning style was to attack and retreat. You would get one hit in the retreat and than attack from another angle. The purpose was to overload your opponent with attacks and then deal with one powerful attack.

I first tried to kick his ribs, but he swiftly countered and grabbed my foot. I knew that he was going to try to throw me out of the arena, so while both of his hands were on my foot I lifted my other foot which was still on the ground, and struck it across his face making him drop my foot and stumble back. He almost stepped out of the arena, but he used his Body Expansion Jutsu to extend his arm and fired it at me. I was barely able to doge and he grazed my body. I then ran up behind him while he was undoing his Jutsu and pushed him out of the circle.

"I barely one that," I said to Goya with sweat dripping down my head I offered my hand to him.

"That was a nice round," he said grabbing my hand up.

After that fight, my next fight happened and I got obliterated by an Uchiha. Their ability with their fireball Jutsu and their accuracy with Kunai I was completely outmatched. My ranking in my class was 18 to 50 which wasn't so bad. My goal was to aim for the top ten. Daichi got 15th place. When I met with him in the hall he said laughing "Oh, looks like I beat you,"

"Daichi I swear I'll make you eat your words for the final exam," I said half serious half laughing too.

When I got home there was a small pouch on the doorstep, there was a note attached to it

"This is the academy allowance," The note read. Inside the pouch were 50 Ryo's. Instead of going to sleep, I went to the weapons shop. When I entered I saw that they had chakra paper.

"Sir, how much is that chakra paper," I said.

"50 Ryos," He replied.

Oh, my shit my plot armor is so good. I bought the chakra paper and went home, when I got home I cooked myself some dinner and then put my chakra through the paper. Half the paper got wrinkled and the other half got damp.

"This means I have both Lightning and Water chakra affinities," I exclaimed. I looked over at the clock it was 10:30 at night. I still have 30 minutes of chakra control training left. After 30 minutes and I finished my training exhausted and out of chakra. I looked at the ceiling at the friends I made today Daichi and Goya. Tomorrow I will focus more on training
