Chapter 14 Loss

POV Kai

Kai opened his eyes before hearing a familiar voice. "Hey there Kai." I looked and I was back in the training center with Rose. Haschel was sitting next ro her looking grim, and a unknown man in emerald was sitting on her other side. " What happened?" Kai asked.

"Long or short story?" Haschel asked. Rose slapped him in the back of his head. " Not the time for jokes." she said. She then turned to me " You got chosen by a dragoon spirit. Not just any spirit but the most power dragoon ever created." Kais jaw dropped as he remembered the battle. Hachel sighed "Anger is a hell or a power source. You unleashed power you were not ready for and fell unconscious." "The man the one with wings how did he keep up if I unleashed the kind of power you say?" The man in emerald awnsered, "He is a wingly, Their magic has always made them resilient."

Rose then calmly explained "Seeing a comrade fall acted as the trigger it forced you to rhe next level but you aren't a true dragoon yet." Mike nodded power that can't be controlled was a liability in a fight. "Am I here to train then?" Kai asked "Yes" replied Rose Now rest we start tomorrow. Kai slumped back on the bed and fell back asleep.

POV Rose

" We need to tell him." Haschel said gravely as we left Kai to recover. "No not yet." Albert replied "he just lost comrades and is in a delicate state. Pushing too much on him could break him." Rose agreed but said " He has to be told soon" "After his training will be soon enough."Albert said. Haku and Zabuza might not have been best friends like Albert and Lavitz but he knew that pain all to well.

POV Kai

Kai threw himself into his training, if he was too tired to think then the dreams wouldn't come. Kai understood that he did not know them for long but he had saved their lives. The Training was harder, learning to control the divine dragoon was like learning to ride a hurricane with a horse saddle. it did what it wanted and it took weeks for him to get a handle on it. Eventually he went from mere 30 seconds transformed into hours. Albert was the emerald man's name and he taught Kai how to be a leader. Apparently, he was a king where they came from.

As the weeks ran on the training finished and once again Rose called Kai to a meeting with Rose Haschel and Albert. " It's time you found out about the silver haired man. he is part of a faction that escaped the last dragoon war." Albert said gravely. "We did not think they had made it to this world, but they were hellbent on finding a way to revive the Moon That Never Sets." Rose added on. "They have access to magic and are stronger and faster than ordinary humans, from what we have seen through your memories only a chuunin or jonin could take one on and that is if they were going easy on them."

" So what am I to take them on alone?" Kai asked frustrated. ""NO!!!""all three shouted. You will fail if you fight alone. the 7 dragoon spirits have been sent here for you to find. Find your comrades or this world will fall." "How long?" Kai asked. " best estimate 10 years." Kais was about to ask another question when Rose held up her hand " Not that we don't want to awnser but we have no idea. All we have are guesses you will need to investigate it yourself."

With that Kai was sent back out to the real world.
