Chp 4 Torture.(Re-written)

We were all gathered at the 'Cave Hall' at the moment and told to memorise the techniques we were given within six hours.

The techniques we were told to 'memorise' were the

• Perfected 'Equilibrium Technique'

• Perfected 'Combination Combat Arts'

• Perfected 'Blood Reversion Martial Art Technique'

• Perfected 'Three Jae Sim Technique'

• Perfected 'Universal Origin Breathing Technique' and

• Perfected 'Phantom Cloud Steps Technique'.

[A/N : Perfected because these techniques were either Lost, Forbidden or Incomplete techniques before now.]

I noticed that all of these 'techniques' were either 'created' or 'perfected' by our father after he became the 'lord' of the cult.

They were currently used to train all the 'Cults' warriors in general now, and these techniques were a big boost for the common cultists strength which was being revered by everyone.

They were the best techniques in 'Murim' at the moment for 'building self foundation' and to begin training in Martial Arts, and without the risks of going into 'Ki Deviation' because they were made by an 'advanced future supercomputer' with utmost 'optimisation' and were based on 'fundamentals research' on every book contained in the 'demonic library inside the academy'.

These techniques were created by him after he became the 'Lord of the Cult' and changed the old 'Clan's rules and traditions.

Due to which, now every 'Clan/Sect' in the 'Cult' is the 'same' and all the 'Sects' have dissolved into 'Family Clan' and every 'Family Clan' can only own a small number of warriors, houses and businesses and all the remaining would belong to the 'Cult'.

They even had to handover all their techniques to be stored in the Academy Library except for the ones 'created by themselves' on their own including 'secret' techniques, this was mainly done to avoid any forbidden techniques from being researched and avoid passing of unstable techniques like the ones Former Lord 'Cheon Yu-Jong' had.

Well majority of the techniques used by the 'Demonic Cult' were created by the '1st Chun Ma' which had the 'Sky Demon Energy' in it's essence, which made the practitioner of Demonic Cult naturally submit to it.

[A/N : by submit it meant to the 'Sky Demon Energy']

Anyway, the remaining techniques were further researched and 'Perfected' by 'our' father the '2nd Chun Ma' and stored inside the library for the 'Cultists' to learn.

There were a lot of 'trash' and 'forbidden' techniques destroyed at that time but also a lot of 'Lost Techniques' being recreated, together with the creation of such 'New' Techniques too.

The 'New' Techniques like the 'Universal Origin Breathing Technique' which was created by our father and later perfected 'again' by him together with the other techniques after he became the 'Lord' were said to be 'comparable' to those of the major techniques of the 'Murim Alliance' etc.

This was also the reason why I envy him so much, and why I miss having the 'Nano Machine' but I am not going to rely on it to arrive and solve everything for me though.

I have now learned and understood after the period of training here that I have more than enough talent to surpass everyone here, even without it just with my hardwork and efforts alone.

'But having a 'Nano Machine' with me wouldn't hurt I guess, Well there must be a reason why I still haven't received it yet, so I will wait..'

I consoled myself by thinking this way,

I also noticed my sister's expression after learning that these techniques were created/perfected by our father and I would see she was trying to hide her emotions, I guess no matter how mature she tries to be she still longs for a family as normal children her age do.

Anyway, we had already memorised the techniques they told us too and we were sitting in Lotus position to open our Meridians now,

As we were one of the first ones who completed memorising the techniques before everyone else, they agreed to help us during the time before everyone else finished.

I mean this long period of training the previous years we did was required for us to gather atleast 6 months worth of Internal Energy minimum by ourselves to create our 'Energy/Ki Pathways'.

Anyway, the first thing they told us to do was reciting the 'Equilibrium Technique' verses internally in our mind and symphoning the 'breathing pattern' as shown in the book.

Meanwhile they told us they would open our 'Meridians' and show us how to pass the energy/ki stored inside our meridans throughout our body by passing their energy/ki in our bodies and then we have to follow their energy/ki pathways and focus it in our lower energy core and store our energy/ki inside the core by forming a circular 'Dantian' over it and forming an entire energy centre and ki pathways.

We followed the process exactly as they said to and it looked like my sister had already started the process.

But the instructors suddenly got confused as they wouldn't find the position of my meridans and bloodpoints in my body.

I mean every individual has different bloodpoints and meridians based on their physique but they are generally the same most times but there are times when people with differently located bloodpoints and meridians are born.

During Ancient times such people were believed to be talentless since they wouldn't be able to practice Martial Arts and people believed it to be a deformity and such.

Anyway, In the end they gave up on that method and told me that I would have to do everything by myself without their assistance and would just have to follow their instructions as they taught before.

So I had would have to now go through deep meditation to sense the 'Internal Energy' in my body.

I decided to continue sitting there in lotus position since everyone else were still busy with memorisation of techniques.

I sat there by myself and let the air flow in through my lungs and continued concentrating.

I followed the process exactly as they said and then suddenly,

I suddenly felt as if I was getting hit by massive waves trying to make me submerge...

I tried gaining my balance again but I didn't feel any foothold around myself.

When I then looked around I saw a massive spiral of 'black and dark blue colored' tornado and and I would be lying if I said I wasn't terrified seeing this, but I soon came to understand about what was happening.

It was my 'mental realm' or 'spiritual body' as many would say and I have to focus and control the energy shaped as the tornado instead of getting Intimidated by it.

I tried various methods but I still wouldn't move it from the place.

So I focused my mind and emotions completly and surprisingly I somehow controlled the direction of the energy and then I quickly started circulating it throughout my body and slowly but surely it was starting to spiral back to me.

But I was now fully concentrated and focused and it looked like after distributing the energy throughout my body the force of the energy had lessened.

I then started the process of formation of my 'Dantian Core'.

I was honestly confused about everything but firstly about why my Internal Energy/Ki was a mix 'black and dark blue' in color.

I mean I agree I am from 'Demonic Cult' but I still haven't yet received the 'Demon Beast Core' energy yet, so I should instead have 'light blue colored' internal energy like most people do, since I haven't practiced any sort of Demonic Arts yet or even started my martial arts journey in the first place.

Well, whatever that's for the 'future' me to worry about... I guess.

I completed the formation of my 'Dantian' and got out of my 'mental realm' after completely finishing the recitement of the verses and opened my eyes once again.

But when I did, I saw everyone inside the hall except for my sister and the Instructors kneeling and sweating facing downward and then when I looked towards my sister for answer, she also had the same confused expression as me and then we both turned out heads towards the Instructors for answers comically,

Meanwhile, the Instructors also comically started scratching the back of their necks in confusion while staring at us for a while before they left to go outside to call for the senior instructors,

Then the Senior Instructors arrived and inspected us and became quiet for a few minutes with comic expression on their faces and then told us that it was just an accident and we 'both' had 'accidentally' leaked out 'Intimidation Ki' after forming our 'Dantian' since we had a large amount of Internal Energy inside our bodies.

We finally calmed down after hearing their explanation,

I was still confused about how exactly it could have happened to the 'both' of us at the same time but I decided to not bother them with it as we still had to continue with the next tasks and if it was something harmful to us in the first place they would have already informed our families immediately and got us out.

Anyway, The third task we had to do from now were practicing each of the techniques we were given 2 hours a day for each technique untill we reach 'Inept' proficiency in them while learning 'Hand to Hand Combat' from the Instructors in the remaining time for the next 4 months,

This may sound easy but let me explain in detail we were given 6 techniques and we have to learn each one of them for 2 hours a day that makes it 12 hours and 4 hours training in 'Hand to Hand Combat' which included both 'Hand to Hand Combat' and 'Hand to Weapon Combat' for 2 hours each and then the time that remained would be for our daily activities such as eating and sleeping,etc i.e. 8 hours.

So at the end of the day it was going to be a packed schedule for the next 4 months, just imagining it is making me have goosebumps now.

*(Timeskip - 4 months later)*

It's been 4 months since we built our 'Dantian' and we both have achieved '2nd Rate Warrior' Rank during this time and also reached 'Inept' mastery as required in the previous task.

[A/N : To understand by required here means that it was required to reach 'Inept' mastery in both the 'techniques' and 'Hand to Hand' and 'Weapon Combat']

Though we had reached 'Inept' mastery, the only reason why the both of us became '2nd Rate Warriors' so quickly was because of the medicinal elixirs and baths our families had gave us since childhood which provided and stored a huge amount of Internal Energy in our bodies and also the main reason why our heights grew so quickly while doing all those physical excercises previously.

I mean it's not like I am complaining that it happened.

Anyway, the number of children remaining now is less than 600 now and let me remind you if I haven't before, that 'only those who would survive till now' will have a chance to participate during the 1st Entrance Test of the Academy, so the 400+ children who wouldn't 'survive till now' will have no chance to learn the martial arts stored in the library or any at all,

I do feel sorry for them but I can only hope they have a more safe and secure future instead.

I mean they still had the basic foundation 'techniques' and 'skills' they had memorised and learned while training here so they would still be able to protect themselves in case of danger at least.

The six techniques provided in the previous task and skills being taught previously itself were pretty advanced if I do say so myself.

Anyway, the fourth task we were given were to learn the 'basics' of how to wield/use all types of 'major' weapons and choose the weapon we have an affinity with in the span of 2 months,

They announced that after this task was completed we won't have to stay in this cave anymore and even if we fail we can still participate during the 'Academy Admission Test' which will take place 4 years later,

I was delighted after hearing that as I just couldn't wait to finish this 'training arc' and go back home,

It has already been more than 2 years since we arrived here and I personally was fed up from the different types of 'tortures' which these people called as 'training' that we had to go through and endure.

I couldn't deny that I was getting stronger because of it but it was still a type of torture though,

I was already 5' ft tall now despite only being an 11 year old and my sister too was around 4' ft 8 inch tall reaching around my neck.

Speaking about her, I wouldn't help but say this but she was really competitive, I mean it was just few days ago when she was still wearing the 'metal bracers' while doing the other tasks just because I did so,

I didn't try to stop her since it would be beneficial for her in the end and would help her body hold large amount of 'Internally Energy' in future.

But still I couldn't help but wonder if she 'had' already become a 'Training Freak'.

I really hope she hasn't or wouldn't but I'd still love and respect her as her 'family' even if she did.
