The Age Of Gods!

"Give up, Shigaraki! You've already lost!" I advised, sending a message to Gentle to begin recording.

In the distance, midair, Gentle stood shouldering a huge camera, custom ordered from a support company, just for today, allowing him to film everything in 4k from 2 miles away.

The epic final stand of the symbol of peace against the greatest villain of this generation.

Ballads are written about this sort of thing and this right here was my chance to cement a legend into the annals of history.

No way am I missing that!

I clad myself in Remote Control, adding a couple of invisible, imperceptibly thin and dense tactile forcefields over it, just to be sure.

Shigaraki on the other hand, just laughed, like the madman he was.

"You must be seriously stupid to come here alone, face to face, right within my range!" He cackled, activating his Decay Zone, as Mirio's body began to fall apart.

Shigaraki, took a step back, gently caressing Mirio's cheeks as the decay hastened and Mirio crumbled into ash and dust in the blink of an eye.

"See this? You won't die that easy. He wouldn't have either of if you hadn't butt in.

But now that you're here, there's no saving you.

I'll relish every moment of your long and tortuous death.

And then, once you're dead, I'll turn you into a Nomu.

Or maybe I'll just steal your quirk, right here, right now!" He threatened.

"Yeah, yeah enough with the chit chat. What are you, a lonely housewife?" I mocked.

"Oh you can try to hide it but I know you're af-"

"Chit chat!" I groaned, rolling my eyes at him.

"What? This a proper villainous monolog-"

"Chitty chitty chat chat!" I taunted, mimicking him with a high pitched voice.

"Fine! If you're in such a hurry to die!" He shouted, leaping at me, with an outstretched hand, right into my trap,

I sidestepped him, palming his elbow hard enough to shatter it.

Bone fragments stuck out from his skin as the regeneration kicked in.

Shigaraki on the other hand stumbled forward, screaming in pain.

"Yarh!"

He looked at his elbow and jumped away, air walking into the sky, befire he shot out a rivet from his elbow, dislodging the bone shards, regenerating fully.

I stood below, watching him, skipping around in a circle.

"How long are you going to stay up there. You chicken or something?" I teased.

"Hyah!" Shigaraki cried, swinging his good arm down, as 4 bolts of lightning converged on my position.

In response, I just pulled out my enchanted key, spinning it on the tip of my finger, extending the creeping blue circuitry onto it.

Layer upon layer of air barriers popped into existence, meeting the lightning with a thunderous crackles, shattering one after the other as the lightning dispersed, a smattering of sparks showering me like glitter by the end of it.

"You sure know how to make a guy feel fabulous~

I'm flattered, but I don't swing that way." I flirted.

"Hrrrrngh! Why don't you just die?" He cried, veins popping on his forehead, as he threw both hands back.

Rivets emerged from every pore, scrath and patch on him, just rivets out the wazoo, as he clenched his fists behind him.

The clouds above the city darkened twice over, now pitch black in their entirety, dragons of lightning arcing across them and a darkness descended upon the town, turning midday into a new moon night.

The force of his Decay pushed to it's limits, the ground beneath me sinking at it's might, as even my forcefields began to degrade and dissipate, finally becoming a cause for concern.

"Alright then, if that's how you want to do this. No more Mr. Nice Guy."

I gathered my psi, splitting it into three equal parts, before catalyzing them into each of it's three aspects, rise, burst and trance.

I merged the three back, bursting with power, as light twisted around me, a tempral vacuum forming in my personal space, as time slowed to a crawl for me.

Shigaraki brought down his hands, in a clapping motion, as if to swat a mosquito between his palm, and the rivets flew off of his arms, curving around me, heading for me from all directions, sparing me no quarter.

In the sky above, as if in response to his clap, a massive storm of lightning, hundreds strong creeoed it's way down, crashing into me, just as the rivets reached me, crushing my air barriers

and piercing into me, like shrapnel.

"Hyahahahaahahahyahahahaha!" Shigaraki cackled delightfully, "All that talk, and nothing to show for it! You fell just as easily as any other!"

Finally, I let out a breath, as my full concentration paid off.

My voice reverberated across the city in a gentle thrum.

Nova : God Mode.

Ars Chtonica!

Rings of light burst forth from me, throwing out the rivets as easily as they had pierced me.

Flesh and bone reformed, and grew in titanic proportions, as tentacles grew from my hips, thick as a tree trunk, covereing the land around me in all directions.

From my back, peacock feathers sprouted, unfurling into a feathery halo dozens of meters wide, mesmerizing both the forces into a catatonic state.

I myself grew, reaching a height of nearly a hundred meters as my singular head split into four identical reflections, facing each a cardinal direction, with elephant tusks emerging form my mouth.

The ringed halos twisted, turning a right angle upwards, converging behind my newly formed heads, eyes upon eyes adorning each of my faces.

Scales emerged on my hands, as they formed in claws and talons, in defiance of all that was holy.

Finally, the sky cracked, bleeding red ooze, as countless eyes, big and small covered the land, sea and skies in a 10 km radius.

"W-what is this?" Shigaraki muttered, fear glowing in his eyes.

"This?" I said, my voice shaking the world with every syllable, "This, Tomura Shigaraki is your death!"

He trembled at my declaration, a wet spot emerging on his pants, as he turned to flee, only to find himslef unable to look away from the peackock feathers.

"Move Shigaraki! Damnit!" Dabi cried, as he ran over, before being frozen in sight of my feathers himself, as did the rest of the PLF forces.

I smiled.

"There is no point in running, Shigaraki. There is nowhere to run. All is within my sights and you are within the palm of my hand." I explained, as the world shifted, and I grew and grew in size until the entire city fit in my palm.

"Not that I would let you either way~" I said, swirling my finger in the air.

Enuma Elish!

Binding Chains Of Heaven!

A slew of portals, a deep eldritch purple, opened up like gaping maws into the abyss, and golden chains shot out piercing his body, holding him down in place.

"Now, it is time we must say goodbye, Shigaraki. May your soul rest in peace!" I said, raising a finger and touching him on the forehead, as he and the rest of the PLF forces disintegrated into mush and goo.

I raised my hand once more, as the mush settled onto the city floor, and with a flick of my wrist, it began to bloom, trees and flowers sprouting from every nook and cranny, edge and corner, turning the blood ridden city into a veritable eden.

I looked at the bleeding sky with a forlorn look, sending waves of trance across the city, imbuing the witnesses with a vague sadness.

"Part, O'Sky, and reveal thy wonder upon this beautiful world!" I said, mostly for the spectacle.

After all, a good performance isn't complete without a bit of theatricality!

With a thought, the pitch black clouds dispersed, raining in a soft drizzle upon the heroes and the remaining police and militarymen, instilling in them, awe and reverence.

What was better than a hero to move the will of the masses?

Why, what else but a God, with a capital G.

Even better was a living one, in the flesh, there for everyone to behold.

And with that, I undid the transformation, the visage of an eldritch god cracking open as I gracefully fell out of the sky, like an angel, descending upon the lands.

Now, for the final bit, just to really sell it, I inverted my forcefields and set them into illusion mode as I drifted off into a deep sleep, portrayed the cost of using such a skill, especially to assuage Aizawa's mounting suspicions.

Amd thus ended the war for the soul of the nation, with the rise of a new race of gods among men, going beyond the symbolisms in peace and prosperity.

As if mirroring it, coups and civil wars broke out across the world, my plans finally coming to fruition.

New gods emerged there too, in all the major nations of the world.

Except, they didn't faint after their display of strength, instead usurping the reins of power and becoming godkings and queens in their own right, marking the beginning of a new era, one devoid of heroes but filled with living gods!

and thats the sitch folks!

gimme your sweet sweet power stones and lets at keast get this fic back to the top twenty before it ends tomorrow?
