19. In the bellies of giants.

Now that I was three months away from the UA entrance exams, there was one more event that I had yet to meddle in with and one last book to gain.

And so I pulled out a certain boy's book and double checked the lines.

A group of bullies.

An epic cringe moment.

And a breakdancing solution.

Yep. This was it. Today was the day it was going to go down.

I walked over to the desk in the Musutafu apartment and pulled out the drawer, revealing a dark, obsidian ball of sweet sugary goodness.

A huge candy, fit for big mom herself.

And inside it, where it wouldnt be noticed until it was too late, lay a device. A high quality mini transmitter for a gps tracker, with nearly six months of battery at minimum usage, specially ordered from a support company on I-island at cost price.

I had prepared it in advance for a very special customer, and today it went into service.

Packing it into a bag, I left for Musutafu junior high, and followed the shortest route to the nearby arcade center, and just in time too as I spotted the event, mid action.

A giant man with a unreasonably square jaw leaned against a building, trapping two middle school girls in. A spiky haired boy frozen in fear across the street, shaking like a chihuahua.

Yup. I'm just in time.

I walked past the boy with large, confident strides, patting him on the shoulder and nudging him out of the way, as I approached the giant.

"Hey!" I shouted, "What do you want?"

".....Springer Agency... where?" The giant grumbled.

"Oh, it just a little ways from here! Let me guide you there." I said, before turning to the girls and shooing them away.

"Come, follow me." I said to the giant as he hulked away from the building and the girls scurried away.

As I led him away, I looked back once more, as two important books popped into my library - Ashido Mina and Gigantomachia.

Mission accomplished.

Now all that remained was to do one small thing, and that is, feed him the GPS candy.

I reached into my pockets as he sniffed the air, alert.

"Just a candy..." I explained, easing his tension, and popped it into my mouth.

"Uhmmm...delish...." I moaned, before turning to him, and asking, " You want some?"

"Hum? Yesh!" He said, nodding.

I reached into my bag and summoned his book out of sight, writing into it to lower his cognition, before pulling out the huge candy.

"Here!" I said with a bright smile, hoping he wouldn't notice the oddity of the situation, "I was saving it for my giant friend but you can have it!"

"...Thanks." Gigantomachia replied, sniffing the candy and giving it a careful lick.

Seeing everything was fine, he popped it into his mouth and swallowed it whole.

We took another turn and I pointed to a random distant building, and alerted the dazed giant.

"There, see. Near the tower with the weird top. That's it."

"...ok...." he muttered and walked away as I returned across the corner and ducked into an alley, teleporting away.

I could have walked but Gigantomachia had a keen nose due to his quirk and I couldn't risk him finding me after he realizes I just led him straight to the police station.

Best to teleport away!

Once I was back at the crossroads, I walked up to the two girls who were crying by the sidewalk as their pink haired friend consoled them.

I pulled out a small first aid kid and caught their attention.

"Hey. You guys ok? Need some first aid?" I asked.

"No. Thanks." Mina replied out of instinct.

"No, Mina, he's the guy who saved us." One girl reproached.

"Yeah." The other girl added, turning to me, "Thank you for that. You were so heroic out there!"

Seeing her friends croon over me, Mina raised an eyebrow and look at me quizzically.

"Don't mention it. Anyone would've done the same!" I replied, dismissing the compliments.

"Yeah, but no one did!" The first girl scoffed, looking at Kirishima and huffing.

I turned to see him still stuck there, head down in shame.

Walking up to him, I patted his shoulders.

"Dude, it's not your fault. Villains are scary! It's okay to be scared. It's how you know you're doing the right thing!" I comforted him.

"But you weren't scared!" He cried, "You just walked up to him straight and just gave him the business.

I....I couldn't even move!

I coulda never done that!"

"Hehehehahhaaha!" I laughed, smacking him over the head.

"What was that for?" He asked, rubbing his head.

"For being an idiot!" I explained, "Of course I was scared! I was very scared! You never know when something could go wrong, after all.

But what scared me more than the villain, was the regret I would have if I failed to save someone right before my eyes!"

Kirishima looked up at me, dazzled, and fell into thought.

"Don't beat yourself up about it. Just do it next time you see someone in need!"

I just ruffled his pointy hair and added.

"By the way, what happened with the villain?" Mina asked curiously.

"Oh, him? I led him straight to the police station and ran away!" I replied, chuckling.

Mina laughed in response, tugging her stomach as her antennae wiggled in delight.

"..hahahahhaahyan! That's....ingenious!" She exclaimed, still laughing.

"Well, then...." I said, pulling out my phone discreetly.

"Wait, how do I kn-" Kirishima asked as I looked at my phone and appeared to panic.

"Oh, um, gotta go. Bye!" I interjected and ran off in a hurry, waving the group goodbye.

Seeing me leave, Mina blurted out a realization.

"Hey, wasn't that guy the vigilante from the sludge villain explosion thingie?"

"What? The guy who roasted the heroes in public!" One of the girls exclaimed.

"I heard that death arms almost retired that day from shame!" The other girl replied.

On the other hand, Kirishima took in the conversation as his eyes turned into stars.

"Tell me more about that!" He asked the group as I escaped their sights.

New stan get!

Now, with all the pieces in place, it was time for me to rock the world with a 1-2 combo.

It's time for the UA entrance exam debacle.
