Fun and Training( Part 1)

Ganrai was comfortably snoozing in his bed when he started hearing a voice coming from the depths of his mind.

Slowly, the boy opened his eyes and was met with the figure of a middle-aged man, tall and relatively robust, with short black hair and a neatly trimmed beard.

"Renjiro-San? What's up?" Ganrai mumbled, still half-asleep.

"Sorry for disturbing your sleep, Ganrai-Sama, but I should let you know that breakfast is ready, so hurry up and head to the dining table, please," Renjiro said.

"Alright," Ganrai replied groggily, then got dressed and left his room.

"I think it was this way," Ganrai said as he turned left from his room, descended a staircase, and found his new family sitting at the table, waiting for him to join them for the delicious Takoyaki that awaited. He immediately took his seat.

"So, Ganrai-Kun, we've got some plans for today," Yumi Aiko said.

"What plans would those be, Aiko-Dono?"

"We need to enroll you in your new school so you can continue your studies, and then we'll go shopping for everything you need," Yumi explained.

"I see," Ganrai said, trying not to show how excited he was about being able to shop without worrying about spending as little as possible and being able to get the best quality items.

"And then you'll come with me because today we're starting your sword and martial arts training," Yoroi Musha added, still in his armor even while they were just having breakfast, which made Ganrai wonder if he ever took it off. "After finishing breakfast, Ganrai and Yumi Aiko left the mansion and arranged for a car with a driver to take them to the school, which was a 5-minute drive from home. Upon arriving, Ganrai saw a huge school with a sign at the entrance that read Hoshiyama Elite Gakuen, which seemed to cater to children from kindergarten to high school due to the variety of ages around. They went to the secretary's office, completed his enrollment, and Ganrai couldn't help but notice that the school was made of blocks, probably to separate kindergarten kids from high school ones. After finishing the enrollment, Ganrai and Yumi Aiko returned to the car and headed to the downtown Tokyo mall.

"Ganrai-Kun, I think we should first buy you some clothes and shoes," Yumi suggested.

"Alright," Ganrai agreed.

After deciding what to do, they entered the nearest clothing store and looked for outfits he liked.

"Darn, my fashion sense has always been off, especially since I've never been able to afford branded items, so I have no idea what goes with what," Ganrai thought.

"It seems like you're having trouble, I can help you choose your clothes if you want, it may not seem like it, but that's exactly what I do... I work with actors' and heroes' costumes," Yumi said.

"Really? That would be a great help," Ganrai said.

After some time choosing clothes recommended by Yumi and paying for them, they left the store and prepared to go somewhere else.

"Hey, Ganrai-Kun, how about we go get some ice cream? Do you like it?" Yumi asked.

"Of course, who doesn't like ice cream, hahaha," Ganrai chuckled.

"Exactly, hahaha."

The two headed to an ice cream parlor in the mall and ordered two chocolate ice creams. Ganrai quickly dug into his favorite sweet treat, ending up with a slightly messy face, prompting Yumi to clean it with a tissue, which embarrassed him a little and drew laughter from the woman.

"Aiko-Dono, can I ask you a favor?" Ganrai asked.

"Of course," Yumi agreed.

"I know it might seem like a lot to ask, but could you financially help my old orphanage?"

"Why?" the woman asked.

"A little before I left, I overheard the nuns talking about the government possibly cutting a significant part of the orphanage's income, and I got worried about what might happen to the other children," the boy explained.

"Hahaha," the woman laughed. "It's just that sometimes you talk as if you weren't a child yourself and have very serious behaviors for your age, you're really smart... But anyway, I'll do anything my dear son asks of me. I've spent my whole life trying to have a child and never succeeded, now that I finally have one, it's okay to spoil him a bit, don't you think?" she said as she hugged him.

"Thank you very much," Ganrai said, feeling a sense of warmth and belonging he hadn't felt since his last moments with his mother in his past life.

After finishing their shopping, they left the mall and returned to the mansion. Ganrai went straight to the training block to meet Yoroi Musha.

"Before we start, you should choose an initial sword from our family's sword room, which you'll use until your twelfth birthday," Yoroi Musha said.

Ganrai entered the room and looked around, realizing that even though there were many swords, not many would suit his size. So, he picked two swords that he would have to work hard to wield, but by the time he was between 8 and 12 years old, they would be perfect.

"May I ask why you chose two swords?" Yoroi Musha inquired.

"I intend to be a swordsman who wields two swords," Ganrai replied.

"Probably because you have two quirks, right?" Yoroi Musha guessed.

"Right, how did you know?"

"I always suspected you were hiding something, but anyway, I've never taught anyone who uses two swords, so you'll have to adapt my Kenjutsu techniques, which won't be an easy task," Yoroi Musha warned.

"The Kenjutsu I teach and train has five techniques, and the first one you must master is the Hayai Kiri, which is a sequence of fast and precise strikes," the white-bearded man demonstrated, showcasing beautiful movements.

After the demonstration, Ganrai tried to replicate the movements, initially using only one sword but it didn't go as planned.
