Joining the War

Jiraya arrived in the evening at the Senju compound to our hihouse and knocked. Tsunade opened the door and welcomed him. Jiraya then asked "Is Ryu ready?" Tsunade nodded and said "Jiraya you better take care of my son and keep him out of harm or else I'll make it so that you would be happy if you were dead". Jiraya laughed and said "Are you kidding me Tsunade? With your son's battle power, he should be one taking care of us". Tsunade frowned and lifted her fist to strike Jiraya. Jiraya got scared and suddenly said "No I was just joking. It was just a joke. I'll take care of him I promise".

I came down after packing all the stuffs I need and saw Jiraya apologising. I laughed and said "Uncle Jiraya let's go. Ok then mom. See you tomorrow". Tsunade looked sad and with tears filling her eye, she hugged me and said "Take care of yourself Ryu. If things get dangerous, push Jiraya to the front and get back here immediately". I laughed hearing her speak about Jiraya and said "Don't worry Mom. I'll take care of myself and will return if there's an issue and also Uncle Sakumo and Uncle Jiraya is there with me." Tsunade nodded and we both left to the village gates.

At the village gates, Hiruzen was waiting with a small medical team of twenty members. He made some speech to increase the morale of the team and I told "Everyone hold each other's arm and last person hold my hand." Everyone looked sleptical but nonetheless did what I said and grabbed my arm as they were in the presence of the Hokage and Jiraya was also doing it. I then smiled at Hiruzen and ....."Flying Raijin lvl 1" ....we vanished.

Hiruzen smiled after seeing us vanish and thought 'we have another Srank shinobi probably the strongest shinobi after he grows up. And the will of fire is ever so bright'.

Sakumo was waiting for our arrival. The Sand Ninja have been really provocative on many occasions today. But Sakumo's camp had no medical team on their side so they could only take those provocations and wait. As soon as we appeared, Sakumo said "Ryu, you're finally here. We have no time for rekindling. Let's cut to the chase, what is the status of your medical team?" I said "Everyone's in top condition except me. I used up a lot of chakra". Sakumo replied "Good you get some good rest tonight, for tomorrow we'll be facing the Sand." As soon as he realised that the Ninja were in a good condition, he decided to go to battle.

"Were you so worried?" I asked that looking at Sakumo. "Oh Ryu you have no idea. These days before you came, there have been provocations every day, and occasionally the Sand would send a puppet master attacking us. Without the presence of medical Ninja to detoxify those who were poisoned, we didn't know if we could win this battle. Morales were low, but now that you guys are here, we must take this battle"

So after that we went to the tent to discuss the battle plan and I asked "What are your plans?" According to the Intel we have from our Hyuga and Aburame Ninjas, the Sand camp has two strong Kage class fighters. One is the 4th Kazekage, and the other is old master Chiyo. Tomorrow I'll try to deal with Chiyo and Jiraya will take on the Kazekage." I nodded and asked "Uncle Sakumo, how about the rest of their troops? Are there no tactics planned?"He replied "Tomorrow, the battlefield will be the Wind country's sand desert. We'll be able to rely on the Hyugas' Byakugans so we don't get ambushed". "But it won't be easy to ambush people in their own terrain." Jiraya answered him.

"You are right Jiraya, and we have to fight tomorrow. We do have your medical team to save our men on the spot. Konoha's Ninjas' overall level is superior. As long as we find a way to deal with poisoning, we are bound to win." Said Sakumo. Then he continued "The only problem is if they bring out their jinchuriki. We have two Kage level ninjas and if they bring out their jinchuriki, then they will have three Kage level in their side and we will loose a lot of men". Jiraya smiled and said "Who told you that? We also have three Kage level shinobi and the forth one is on standby".

"What do you mean Jiraya? Do you mean Tsunade? Is she coming?" Asked Sakumo. Jiraya smiled and said Tsunade is on standby and Ryu will get her if things don't look good. And the third kage level shinobi is him". Jiraya said as he pointed towards me. Sakumo frowned and asked "Jiraya be serious. He's just a kid. I admit he's very strong for his age, but fighting against a jinchuriki". Jiraya shook his head and said "Sakumo, don't freak out. He has kage level chakra and is a perfect sage. Can you handle it Ryu?" He looked at me. I smiled and said "Fine. I'll take care of the jinchuriki. You guys handle the rest. Now I'll take some rest".

Then I started going out of the tent. Sakumo and Jiraya followed me and said "Ryu you can take the big tent. I'll tell everyone not to disturb you". I replied "No need Uncle Sakumo. I'll build my own retreat." Jiraya stepped up and asked "How are you going to do that? Don't tell me" I smiled and said "Yes Uncle Jiraya. I'm his grandson anyway

Jiraya and Sakumo had their jaws wide open and Sakumo said "I believe you now Jiraya. He can take on any Jinchuriki... Haha". Jiraya thought to himself 'This kid was hiding his powers. He's definitely stronger than me. I must have let him take out the Kazekage'.
