The Villain's Grand Plan? (1)

Five days passed since my meeting with my father, and true to his word he was able to invite both Axton and Lucia to a meeting with him later this day.

"The most I will do is invite them, it's up to you to get them to stay." My father told me after our meeting.

Dropping onto my bed due to exhaustion from my class in etiquette. Apparently being sick for a week made me forget all my manners and how I should act as a Duke's son. My father told me.

Of course, I don't know anything about etiquette. I was just your humble, but one of the best gamers ever to live, I mean a normal humble person who knew nothing about nobility and class.

It was nerve-racking that he noticed immediately about that, but instead of saying anything he just doubled my lessons.

He never even asked how I knew about the location of the fruit or the fact that I wanted two random individuals to teach me and how I knew about them. He just accepted it like it was a natural course of action.

Although I would admit I was a little disheartened that he didn't ask me, because I had an awesome villain line that I wanted to use. "If you only believe what your eyes tell you then you will miss everything….."

Guess I will keep that in my back pocket for future use, I need a bunch of villain lines that I could use at a whim.

Reluctantly removing my head from the sweet embrace of my pillows, I sat up and saw Callista sitting in the chair next to my bed.

The sun shining on her silver hair made it look like she was an angel sent to watch over me with the way it gave her a certain glow.

"Beautiful…" I murmured to myself.

"Excuse me?" She replied.

Crap, I thought to myself. Of course, she would be able to hear me. She is an elf after all. Well time to be the cool villain. I finished to myself as I got off the bed and fixed my hair like a villain.

"My dear Cas." I paused for dramatic effect "I was saying, how beautiful my heart is." I finished with a prideful look on my face as I delivered that epic line capable of slaying any beauty who heard that.

Only to see Cas's emotionless face staring back at me.

"Never say that ever again." Was her only reply as she turned around to 'vomit'.

Recoiling from the mortal wound that I received, I didn't notice the slight twitching of her ears as she was 'vomiting'.

Slowly falling to my knees, I started clutching my chest with tears threatening to fall from my eyes.

"O dear world, how could you be so cruel? Letting my heart betray me like that? We were supposed to be together forever!" I whimpered through clenched teeth and a broken heart.

"This joke was never funny." Came the emotionless voice towering above me.

"A joke?! Is it not enough to break my heart? Now you must go and shatter it?" I said with a weak voice as if I was on my deathbed.

Closing my eyes and waiting for the sweet embrace of lady death.

Only to hear a very audible and exaggerated sigh.

"Ci… please get up, you're getting your clothes dirty and wrinkled." A melodic voice could be heard on the edge of my consciousness, slowly giving me the will to fight again.

"If my heart won't give up on me then I can't give up on my heart and must continue living." I said strength returning to my lifeless eyes again.

"Just die…"

Well, what I good life I had lived. Let's see who I become when I am reborn for the second time.

THE END??

As If!!! I'm not that lucky!

Sitting at the desk with Callista hovering behind me acting as if the previous five minutes didn't happen, I was writing in my language from my previous life as I still didn't know how to write this world's language. Lamenting the fact that I never received my predecessor's memories to help with stuff like this.

"What are you writing?" She asked with a confused look on her face.

"Don't worry" not even bothering to look at her, lest I get distracted again I continued. "I will teach you how to read this in due time, and it will be only for us."

Writing everything I knew about the game while it was still fresh in my mind, in case I forget in the future. I wrote down when important events will happen, important people, enemies of house Maxamus, allies, whom to contact, and whom to avoid.

For nearly two hours I sat there writing in my notebook…not diary… notebook and Callista stood there behind me not saying a word, just watching me write…. Not creepy.

Finishing up I slowly closed my notebook and took a deep sigh as relaxed in my chair. Slowly tilting my head back to look at Callista.

"OK." I began getting her attention "I have my grand plan beginning to take shape, but we have to be careful or one wrong step, and I will be killed."

Watching her nod, I continued. "The first step was securing the resources of House Maxamus. Now that we have that we can continue moving forward." Letting that sink in I pushed on. "The next step while simple will take the longest as it will last till we reach the academy. Become a noble again and gain power."

Slowly standing up to stretch my legs, Callista sensing the lull in the conversation asked a question that's been on her mind. "Why go through all this?"

"Simple." I said holding up to fingers "Two reasons; the first is who would believe a kid who knew of the future and second, no one will believe a Maxamus least of all the king." I paused.

Nope, no matter what I do I will always be destined to be the villain. Why fight and waste energy trying to change that when it is never going to happen? I thought to myself.

"No. I will be the villain who enacts his grand master plan." I paused drawing Callista in.

"Which is?" She asked, anticipation filling her

"My dear Cas… the grand plan…. Is…. To run away!!!!"

Hope you enjoyed the slice-of-life chapter, wanted to lighten up the story after the father/son talk. I also wanted to deepen the relationship between the MC and his Aide.

Let me know what you think about the chapter.
