Chapter 25: Marry me

Earlier there was a rumor saying that the Princess of Sri Lanka and Aldrin were together.

'Was it false?'

'Is Aldrin joking or is he serious? Who wants to leave such great wealth and power?'

'But Johnsons cannot be underestimated their wealth and prestige is all over the world and cannot be neglected.'

'They also grab a great foothold as soon as they return to the country.'

Various kinds of discussion broke into the banquet.

Lucy also did not believe that Elizabeth charisma was this great that she can hook up with Aldrin whom the princess has set her eyes in. She has heard about the princess people say she obtained everything she wishes for and is the only heir of wholesome wealth.

Despite their surrounding Elizabeth and Aldrin was staring at each other, he steps towards her and said in her ear,

''Elizabeth get ready to marry me...!''

For a few seconds she doesn't know how to reply to him she was startled by his confession.

''No, I don't love you. I will only marry the person with whom I will have mutual love''

These were also Elizabeth's heartfelt thoughts. She also wants to test whether the Aldrin still had the same feelings about her that of the previous life.

"Just wait..! I will make you fall in love with me wholeheartedly.!" Aldrin was sure, Elizabeth looked at him in amazement, where did his confidence come from?

Elizabeth was a little ignorant she never thought about any love or couple relationship after she was reborn. Looking at Aldrin's determined look she cannot help it and think will it be alright.

In her previous life she has trust, love, and cherish Kevin but what she got in return was the only betrayal.

She will not be a fool in this life. There are many things that she doesn't know about Aldrin, she was confused about him. She did not hate him but the love she did not know.

Assistant Tang interrupts their conversation, he whispers in Aldrin's ear. After hearing what he said Aldrin hummed in a cold tone.

Aldrin gives Elizabeth a meaningful smile it's more like provoking saying 'I will conquer you.' He leaves the banquet early.

Elizabeth just shook her head. She knows he just wants to annoy her himself what a big bully..!

Lucy was just waiting for this chance when Elizabeth was all alone. She has already bribed a waiter and asked him to work when he got her hint.

After today's episodes, she was feeling insecure towards Kevin.

She walks towards Elizabeth, "Congratulations Elizabeth"

"Umm.... thank you..." she behaves to be embarrassed.

Lucy sneers inside, "Elizabeth why were you with Mr. Johnson?''

''Do you have feelings for him?''

''Will you marry him? If, yes so what about Kevin?"

She asked the question she has in her heart first consecutively, she doesn't want the plan to be disturbed due to any stupidity of this fool otherwise she has to pay a big prize.

Elizabeth mock Lucy in her heart 'What a good actor is she pretending to be a white lotus.'

Elizabeth replied innocently, "I don't know he came to me himself. I don't know him we haven't contacted for twelve years. I haven't said that I will marry him. You know you are my only friend if I had feelings for him I should have told him."

Lucy gave it a second thought and thinks 'She is right. What a jester can't see the truth. It's good for her to be blockhead by my sisterly love so that she will not use her brain and act as a puppet in my hand.'

Lucy reveals a pleasant smile it was the hint for the waiter.

"Elizabeth you should be happy your dad has given you the chance to chose your husband without any exception. You should be able to be with Kevin now, he was looking heartbroken before when you said you have no one that you liked. You should talk to him later."

"For now, cheers and enjoy not be a prude, there's no problem to drink today we are at home."

Lucy takes a glass tequila and hands red wine to Elizabeth which is already drugged.

Elizabeth had already said to her people to watch Lucy every move so that they can inform her if anything happens.

While Lucy takes the glass, she hears from the Bluetooth "Ma'am that glass of wine with a is drugged. You should not drink it."

Elizabeth can see through the little tricks from her facial attitude, she was scheming and changes her emotion fast.

Elizabeth smirks what an old trick is it and looked at the glass of red wine in Lucy's hand. She remembers she had once in previous life drugged her to destroy her innocence thankfully she vomit and send to the hospital due to some allergic reactions to the mixed red wine and was saved.

Elizabeth doesn't plan on drinking the wine she is thinking a way to distract Lucy and counteract the upcoming tragedy.
