Reaction of the speech

The following days after the meeting of the UNO were quite turbulent. The military all over the world was constantly active with killing monsters and saving people.

The research companies may not have been on the same page, but they all participated in verifying the claims of the speech.

It didn't take long to have more and more evidence for the theories of the company.

With the UNO asking the military to test soldats, who killed monsters, it soon was confirmed that these soldats had some improvements.

It wasn't always evident as some just had an increase in strength, but especially Resilience proved the assumption that EXP can improve humans.

The research company shortly began to make plans to create measuring devices for each stat and for the exp-levels.

This all happened, while the world was still clueless of the changes.

The world was focused on VR games, which became more and more popular.

The other person, who was clueless, was Steven. As he didn't have any news from his speech, he saw the worst-case scenario before his eyes…

...having made a fool of himself before the most powerful leader of the world!

Steven used his uncertainties to make more research about all the new information he had sold over the audience. It was only a month after the speech that he received a message from the UNO.

The message didn't leave any room for choices and just summoned him to the General Assembly Hall in New York. Having the fear of being punished for spreading unverified information, Steven went to the Hall he had visited before with trembling hands.

Different to his expectation, Steven was rewarded by all the present 195 members.

He not only had been complimented, but he also chit chatted and received a transfer of 2 billion Euro for the research.

Almost all companies had received a great compensation between 100 000 to a million. With Mirai Research having contributed so much in the research they naturally received the highest compensation.

Additionally, the assembly informed him that they would publicize his speech to inform the public of the research development.

This news shocked Steven to his core.

Through the chitchatting, Steven learned that other companies began to produce measuring devices. Having lost one month of the time, Steven was furious to not have ordered the production to his own company. He felt quite stupid.

On the way back to Germany, Steven called Ben to inform him of the development.

Ben wasn't very surprised. He felt a bit disappointed in Steven for having lost the opportunity, but soon lost that feeling. The important thing about this whole development was fame.

Money was less of a worry since he was already making a fortune from the VR games. The reason for fame was to attract high-quality scientists and engineers for his future projects.

Ben didn't plan to fight the hundreds of companies, which created measuring devices. Fighting in the same market with a lot of competition was always a trouble.

Ben only needed to be the first in a new market field and easely reap the money from the people without much competition.

In the one month, Ben didn't do a lot. He watched Daniel's action and waited to heal from his injuries. Then he went to the hospital and was finally free from any metal inside his body. While his ribs didn't need the screws anymore, Ben still needed to heal from the chirurgie.

In the following days, Ben spent time visiting his companies and giving orders to develop it.

On the day of visiting GWF, Ben had a pleasant surprise.

He met his old classmate friend, Amadeus.

After exchanging a few worlds with him, Ben learned that his friend had been deeply impressed by Magic leap VR and Hunter World that he decided to apply at GWF.

While he didn't receive a job due to his lack of experience, he applied for a practicum.

Thus he ended up working for free and accumulated experience in the meantime!

Ben didn't want Amadeus to spend his time doing paperwork, so he assigned the CEOs to give Amadeus a job.

Naturally, Amadeus was shocked with not only Ben's presence in the building, but also that Ben seemed to have influence in the company.

By Explaining Amadeus shortly his current position, he also motivated him to slowly work his way up.

„As long as you show enough engagement and talent, I will even give you the position of one of the CEO's in GWF."

This not only blew the mind of Amadeus, but also ignited his motivation.

Inwardly promising to give his best, Amadeus went back to his duties, while Ben continued his visit.

Ben didn't plan to interfere in the future games of GWF and only wanted them to continue updating the „Hunter World" game.

On the other side, Mirai Research Company was severally developed. Not only did the drug department experience a large flow of money, but also a new building with high security measures had been bought for the new project.

In the last months, Daniel had already formed a small team and was on the way to arrive in Germany. Why Germany? Mostly because he wanted his companies to not be too far away. It may also have been because he liked it a little bit more.

Giving the country, where he lived his whole life, a bit of credit wasn't strange.
