Chapter 2: A second Chance

‚So this is death, huh?' he thought, while looking around him he just sees darkness but it is not like he couldn't see anything. ,I think I can still see well over a few hundred meter in this darkness. But besides the darkness there was no one else. Well, not exactly what I expected but at least I won't get disrupted while finally relaxing.'

And so he closed my eyes to get his well deserved sleep. But just as he closed his eyes He felt like something wants to eat him. So he opened his eyes once again and started to look around him to see if something was there but there was [Nothing].

And that was what creeped him out. There was [Nothing] literally just [Nothing]. No light, nor he nor was there darkness. Just [Nothing]. But then as if something clicked inside his head he got an idea so he sat down and mediated.

And so time flew on...

One year....

Three years....

27 years...

....

..

.

And in the end after exactly 6.66 years of meditation he seemed to understand something. And than he heard a loud sound.

~Bang~

And then the [Nothingness] slowly seeped into his body. Which was refined, repaired and strengthened.

After he absorb everything around him he saw a light in front of him.

„Congratulations, my child. You are the first who managed to comprehend [Nothing] and this in a unbelievable time." Said the light to him. It was something very confusing for him. The voice sounded female but at the same time male. It sounded deep but high.

But than once again as if something clicked inside of him he guide the [Nothing] inside of him to his eyes and he did it as if it was something he did for million of year, as if it was something normal

It was a very special feeling him. It felt as if he couldn't hear or see anything but still he knew more than bevor. He knew everything in a radius of 100 meter. It was as if he was everywhere in those hundred meters around him. It was as if it was his [Domain]...

„You really are a talent aren't you, little Max?" He heard someone saying this. He could clearly feel that this voice was deep but reassuring. He tried to feel where the light was and saw an old man with a long white bear standing there and looking at him.

„And who might be you?" He asked in his normal emotionless voice. He didn't know anything about this old man but it seemed like he knows at very least his name. But his gut tells him he knows more about him.

„Oh! I am what you people call God and not just any kind of god but the highest and at the same time the strongest. But you can just call me Shin."

„Ok, Shin. So why are you here?"

„I'm here for you little Max. I want to give another chance. I want to reincarnate you in another world but I won't just reincarnate you how you are right now. I will give you a few wishes and also the chance to customize your body. It doesn't matter which bloodline traits you want or not you can just mix them. And also you can play a roulette which will decide which [Law] you will get. Normally that is a must but as you already have your [Nothingness Law] you get to decide wether you want to play or not but you won't get anything new if you decide not to play. But be warned! If you play and get a bad law which you can't control even I can't do anything to help you. So what is your choice, young Max?"

„I want to play the roulette. And could you please tell me how many wishes I have and what I can wish?"

„Good answer my kid. And you have 3 wishes and can almost wish everything but things that make you a god instantly. But before that let's start the roulette."

After Shin said that Max saw a roulette appear out of nowhere and it started to spin. He could read many [Laws] on it. There were some which he thought were weaker like [Sand Law] or [Plant Law]. But there were also those which were stronger like [Fire Law], [Wood Law], [Darkness Law] or [Light Law].

And the roulette spins on and on while it slowly becomes slower until it finally stops. And it stops on [Chaos Law]....

„F*ck! Little Max come here!"

He heard how Shin screamed at him and asked him to go to him. He doesn't known why but still goes to him.

„Are you ok little Max?!? Do you feel weirder anything?"

Shin basically drowns him in questions but he still tries to answer them all.

„Yes, I am completely fine and there is also nothing wrong with my body I think and I als-"

He couldn't even finish his sentence until he feels something inside him going on a rampage.

‚What is this!?!?'

He asked himself in his thought while slowly breaking down.

„Try to cage it with your [Nothingness Law] now! Shit. You still don't know how to do that."

Shin screamed the first part while saying the second part so quiet that no one but him could hear it.

„Try to feel your [Chaos] inside yourself try to guide it to somewhere and order it to become a ball. Then try to order your [Nothingness] to form a cage on the outside of it!"

MC POV

(Just after the roulette finished spinning)

‚[Chaos Law]? Hm I think that was a strong one now that I think about it. But weren't the owners of this [Law] extremely unstable and sometime even crazy?'

Is what I thought after seeing the result of the spin. I didn't think too much about it but then I heard Shin screaming at me.

„Fuck! Little Max come here!"

‚Why should I go to him?'

Is what I thought but still I did what he ordered me to do and went to him. I wasn't running but rather slowly going to him without any haste. But just as I arrived next to him I was asked the next questions.

„Are you ok little Max?!? Do you feel weird or anything?"

‚Why does he ask me that? Of course I'm fine.'

I complained a bit in my own mind and then answered him.

„Yes, I am completely fine and there is also nothing wrong with my body I think and I als-"

I couldn't even finish my sentence before I felt something awaken inside of me. Something ancient which should never have been awakened... And it's currently running amok inside of my body.

It felt quite weird. It was as if everything was wrong with me. I felt something long forgotten. It were emotions and the most potable was anger. Which was in many ways weird. First I shouldn't even be able to feel emotions. Second I had no reason feel anger and yet I felt it.

I don't even know what exactly it was. It was all just [Chaos]...
