Chapter 20; Zi Jia, who treated you....
" Huo Ting, how can you all bully a little girl like that? " Another guard mumbled glaring at them, they were openly ignoring and messing around with her.
"Humph!" He coldly snorted before minding his own business...
Zhan Shan rushed over to her guest room locking the bedroom door feeling aggrieved, she didn't have anyone to air her grievances to apart from keeping them inside her heart.
She settled down on the bed crying her eyes out when her mobile phone vibrated, she dragged her handbag closer and opened it before getting her mobile phone.
Seeing the familiar number calling her, she roughly wiped her tears away before receiving it, "Shan Shan, how is it? He has accepted?" An old aged voice echoed from the other end of the phone call seemingly in plight.
"I just got here and he accepted my request to spend a night here, i will have to talk to him tomorrow and try to convince him otherwise...." She calmed down trying to alleviate her sadness.
"All right, you have everything you need... Grandpa is waiting for your good news..." That voice from the other end remarked before hanging making Zhan Shan feel even more terrible, he didn't even ask what she had eaten, or how she was feeling. He didn't even greet her!
Her heart was overwhelmed with sadness tightly constricting and she gently caressed her chest, before she could put the phone down, another call came through her mobile phone.
She coughed several times before receiving the phone call, "Honey... " Her voice was at least smoother and you couldn't depict any emotions from it.
"I need the money you promised me, you haven't sent it to me yet, what are you waiting for?" That voice from the other end was worried and in a hurry, you could hear the rush and need for the money he was asking for.
"I will send it to you...." She hung up and immediately wired the amount of money before switching the mobile phone off, she was feeling frustrated and things weren't going per her expectations.
She and Huo Shen were childhood friends and their families were closely related just like the Mo family.... And after so many years of being in the foreign lands, she finally returned but it didn't feel like things were the same for her anymore.
She walked over to the bathroom and stood in front of the mirror gazing into her reflected image, "you can do it!" She cheered herself up before taking a shower and resting in bed, she would have to work on something the following day.

"Doctor, we have to discharge her since she is feeling well already and everything else could easily be managed from home..." A woman and man stood in a military doctor's office requesting, they had been doing this for the last thirty minutes but the doctors didn't accept their requests, all the doctors declined....
"Wait until tomorrow, she will be discharged without a question, it's already night now and it's against our rules and protocols as a military academy hospital to release a patient in these wee hours unless it's an order from Huo Shen who had personally brought her over and admitted her here... There's nothing we can do... Please be patient...." The doctor didn't give them any other options, why were they rushing to get her released this wasn't how the military worked.
It was a new case and they wanted to study it for a few more days before releasing her, they had several unanswered questions regarding the existence of this poison and what would be the antidote...
"All right doctor..." They couldn't do anything apart from going back to the private wardroom to accompany Mo Zi Jia and wait until tomorrow before they could discharge her...
The doctor who was in charge sharply gazed at the vanishing figures before going on with his work, he could only follow Huo Shen's orders and nothing else.
They opened the private room door and got inside the wardroom, "you all can go, we will keep her company here...." They dismissed the nurses who were present and they immediately bowed their heads before walking out and leaving only the family members inside the wardroom.
Mo Zi Jia was wide awake and recovering very well, she was now able to sit up without anyone's support.
"Zi Jia, who treated you? Can you recall what they looked like?" They inquired worriedly, if this person knew what exactly it was, then it was a hidden danger they needed to get rid of it as soon as possible...
