Mental liberation
He had expected that Xuanyuan wouldn't know the way to Divine sky city. But he somehow believed that this young sword Master can reach that legendary city he'd only been to once.
"I'll show you the way" the Emperor said and closed his eyes. His forehead shone brightly as a complicated stream of Mana flew out and landed in Xuanyuan's forehead. A wave of information flooded his mind as a map appeared in his system map. It's the map of the Ancient realm.
"Amazing" Xuanyuan muttered. He didn't know information could be passed this way.
"It's called Mental liberation. Only Emperors who have achieved Saint rank Mana control standard can master it" the Emperor said once he noticed Xuanyuan's amazement.
"Can you teach me?" Xuanyuan asked.
"You can't learn it. Even numerous Emperors failed to master the secret art" the Emperor said staring down at Xuanyuan. He didn't believe Xuanyuan could master the secret art that Emperors couldn't master.
"I can" Xuanyuan muttered as he opened his palm and a small stream of Mana gathered and began disintegrating into it's infinite elements. Such an incredible feat rendered the Emperor tongue-tied.
"Tier 5 standard" Myriad storm Emperor exclaimed.
This was one of the main dividing line between Emperors and Sainthood and any Emperor who'd reached this level is already a demi saint vastly superior to the average tier 4 Emperor. But achieving this standard is easier said than done and researches showed that only a small fraction of Emperors possess Mana control at the tier 5 standard. This remained true even in the Ancient era.
But now, a tier 2 Master possessed this ability. He nearly suspected if Xuanyuan was concealing his true level.
"Could this be the heaven defying talents of a true human" the Emperor wondered.
"Very well. I'll teach you" the Emperor said and transferred the technique to Xuanyuan using mental liberation.
Xuanyuan was mystified as he gradually assimilated the information.
"No wonder the Ancient era was so prosperous. This technique is really profound" Xuanyuan exclaimed within. He had no idea such a technique existed and he probably wouldn't know if he never went back in time.
"I guess you won't have a hard time reaching Divine sky city" the Myriad storm Emperor said still bewildered by what he just saw. He no longer viewed Xuanyuan as a simple sword Master.
"But I'll have someone escort you out of the city just in case"
"Many thanks. Sect master" Xuanyuan said. "I'll take my leave now" he said.
"You may leave" the Emperor said and watched as Xuanyuan's figure descend to the ground level.
"I'm getting old already" the Emperor sighed. It took him all his life to reach this level only to find a youngster with similar achievements. Some geniuses are just there to put others to shame...
"How was it?" Silver king asked once Xuanyuan descended.
"The sect Master can't help me either" Xuanyuan said. "But he's directed me to a city. Maybe I'll find what I need there" Xuanyuan said.
"Which city?"
"Divine sky city"
"Divine sky city..." Silver king repeated. "I also want to visit the city one day" he said.
"You'll have the chance, probably when you become an Emperor" Xuanyuan replied.
"I heard the city is so far away and the path is filled with dangerous bandits and monsters. Are you sure you'll be fine?" Silver king asked.
"Of course. Don't underestimate me" Xuanyuan said jocularly. "I'll be fine" he added.
"Alright" Silver king said and led Xuanyuan back into his guest's residence in the mountain range.
"When do you plan to leave?" Silver king asked.
"Tomorrow" he replied.
"So soon?" Silver king exclaimed.
"Yeah. The faster the better" Xuanyuan said.
"Alright. I'll see you off tomorrow" said Silver king as he walked away leaving Xuanyuan alone in the room.
Xuanyuan calmed himself and began cultivating the Mental liberation technique.
This technique isn't only useful in communication, it's also used for tempering and training mental power. A mental communication master will not only have an easier time with communication, he'll also be able to liberate a portion of his mental energy for other purposes either in long distance communication or attacks. That's one of the reasons why cultivators of the Ancient era are a tad more difficult to deal with.
Cultivating the technique wasn't much difficult for Xuanyuan who's already proficient in Mana and mental control. It only took a few hours to master the basics of the technique. This will undoubtedly put many to shame if they were to learn of this speed...
As soon as the sun rose, Xuanyuan halted his training and stepped out. He saw Silver king and the Elder who welcomed them previously walking towards his residence.
"You're ready to leave?" Silver king asked.
"Almost" Xuanyuan replied.
"Alright. Elder and I will see you off" Silver king said.
"Many thanks to Elder" Xuanyuan said with cupped fists.
"It's nothing. Don't mention it" the Elder said.
Soon, Xuanyuan stood beneath Myriad storm mountain range with Silver king and the Elder. The Elder pulled out a bottle containing a toy ship but it wasn't a toy ship. It's a flying ship!
Flying ships are devices used for aerial transportation. They are incredibly swift and convenient to use and can carry a large number of people depending on its rank. But they are quite rare in the modern era. While it provide transport services, its various cannons and ballisters and defensive barriers provide excellent battling services. Hence various forces would usually prepare flying ships for aerial battles and sieges.
But this flying ship was rather small and portable that it can only accomodate a few people at maximum. Those are considered personal flying ships and their battling capabilities aren't as exaggerated as that of large flying ships...
Xuanyuan hopped on the flying ship with Silver king and the Elder who was responsible for piloting it out of the city...
