"Good" The Second Saint muttered and signaled to the First Saint who nodded.

"In the name of the Ancient God of Humanity, I name you, Sage Yuan, the Ninth Saint!" The First Saint announced.

Meanwhile in the outside world, the atmosphere changed all over the realm. Golden clouds gathered in the sky accompanied by strong air currents and terrifying thunderstorms.

A beam of Golden light shot out from the sky and struck the Holy Temple of Humanity in Jade Spear city. Just when everyone, both players and NPCs were wondering about what was causing those strange phenomenon, a system notification rang in their ears.

"Ninth Saint? What's that?" The confused players asked.

"Ninth Saint of Humanity!" One of the nearby NPCs exclaimed. "That symbolizes the title belonging to a new earth shattering existence!" The NPC continued while other NPCs nodded to confirm his words.

"What title is that?" The players asked.

"You see, there are eight Great Human Saints who are the ultimate leaders and the symbol of the Human race" explained the NPC "Anyone named a Great Saint of Humanity is an existence standing at the Apex of the realm of spirituality. Such existences are legends even among Saints. I believe they just crowned another Great Saint"

"But the announcement mentioned Player Sage Yuan. How could a player acquire such a honourable title?" The players were confused further. They couldn't figure out how a Player could acquire a title that was supposed to belong to a Tier 5 Saint! It was not feasible that a Player had reached Tier 5 either.

"We need to contact our Guild executives, this player Sage Yuan should be investigated!" The players said hurriedly contacting their Guilds to give them the latest information and receive new orders.

Meanwhile inside the Holy Temple, Xuanyuan was just about to examine his new treasure chest when a system notification rang in his ears. It was a notification meant for the City Lord of Jade spear city.

<System notification: Jade spear city has satisfied a unique condition and is now ready for promotion. Do you wish to promote Jade spear city to a Holy city?

Xuanyuan was stunned when he read the notification. Holy city was a unique rank among cities and only cities that satisfy a special condition can become one. Meanwhile, the benefits brought about by a Basic Holy city was not comparable to even that of an Peak Main city like Red sea city which was the capital city of Red sea kingdom. Once Jade spear city became an Holy city, the city would become the focal point of the Kingdom. It was even possible for the Kingdom to become an Empire.

Xuanyuan was ecstatic. The defense system of an Holy city was not weak at all. Promoting the city will increase the chances of successfully defending the city from the siege of Fiery moon city and Dark cloud city.

But the only problem was the promotional cost one million Magic crystals! That was not a big sum for a large Guild but it was mind-blowing for a rogue player like Xuanyuan. He only had about 600000 Magic crystals from the items he had auctioned off previously. The only way he could get the rest of the sum was to auction off another batch of items.

But a thought suddenly crossed his mind and he opened the city's property interface. As the City lord, he had direct access to the city's earnings from taxes and others.

"The city sure is a treasure trove!" Xuanyuan chuckled to himself once he saw the total amount of Magic crystals the city had. 50 million Magic crystals!

That was a sum that could make even Superpowers go crazy. With this, he could definitely promote the city. Once the city is promoted, earning back a million Magic crystals would be child's play.

Unknown to Xuanyuan, just when he chose to promote Jade spear city, every player in the city was forcibly teleported out of the city with no regard for whatever they were doing, even those who were offline would only log in to find themselves out of Jade spear city.

Meanwhile the city was tightly sealed in a dark barrier that prevented players from seeing what was happening within the city.

"I was just about to slay that damn monster and complete my quest when I got teleported out of the city!" Another cried.

"What's happening?!"

Just then a system notification rang in their ears...

<System notification: Apologies for the inconveniences. Jade spear city is currently undergoing a promotion to an Holy city. Players in the city will be forcibly teleported out of the city and will be denied entrance until the promotion is completed. The promotion process will last one hour>

Once the notification ended, commotion broke out in front of Jade spear city!

"What did I just hear? Jade spear city is getting promoted to an Holy city?" The players were astonished.

They all knew about Holy cities and knew how valuable one was. There were only a small number of Holy cities in the Realm of spirituality and every one of them was a land every player would dream to develop in.
