Chapter 5 - Unexpected Luck

"What do you think I should do first, Xiao Xiao?"

[ I would recommend starting your cultivation but it's up to you, Master. ]

"I guess, heading back home for now."

Xiao Shen didn't want to suddenly place himself to potential danger even if the temptation for the thrills was crawling into his mind. 

Once he got out of the hospital, he just took a moment to stride through the streets, having gained more than he thought. Money isn't an issue anymore and can do whatever he wants.   

'Maybe, I should try to exercise and build my foundation. I've read some stories about my situation. Ah right, can you tell me what the cultivation realm or ranking are?'

His greatest advantage is the understanding of cliche situations in the cultivation world. Xiao Shen hope to avoid the retarded Young master as much as possible knowing how it would bring unnecessary bloodshed since he doesn't want soak his hand with human blood. He saw the realms and understood them based on his knowledge in this type of thing. Xiao Shen wonders how long he'll reach Qi Condensation since in most stories the main character takes a long time.

Xiao Shen put it aside and went ahead and called a taxi to arrive at his neighborhood. He exited the vehicle finding himself in an apartment building where stroll getting into the floor. 

He half expected to meet some kind of young master along the way but fortunately he didn't and got into his home without problem. 

"Home sweet home. Feel free to float around, Xiao Xiao."

[ Yehey! Can I wash some television? ]

"Sure why not. I was about to prepare some snacks since I'm feeling a bit hungry."

He saw Xiao Xiao pop out of nowhere then grow at the size of an average human child, surprising Xiao Shen as she ran towards his living room as he went to open his television then to his kitchen checking his refrigerator to find that there was still some food left. Xiao Shen decided to make some Ramen and began to chop some vegetables and boil some soup. 

Xiao Shen is just trying to enjoy the moment of his modern life before heading to his new exciting life. 

'I wonder if I have cultivator woman, can I change their mindset into someone with common sense?'

At times, those women's mindset are similar, that they are forgettable with rare exceptions. He also enjoys sharing some modern knowledge in the new world since it might be entertaining to see mortal lives being improved rather than trampled. 

Is he being Naive for considering such a thing? He is but Xiao Shen didn't care because he found it interesting what it could lead to. 

However in order to do so, he first needs to get stronger and reach a level where they would have to listen. 

Half an hour later, Xiao Shen finished cooking taking a seat  next to Xiao Xiao who saw him with the two bowl of Ramen then he realizes something 

"Wait, can you eat or touch things, Xiao Xiao?"

[ I can, it'll just turning into pure energy as I ingest it. ]

"That's good, here dig in."

Within an office, a beautiful woman with long silky black hair and creamy white skin. Her body had near perfect curves with her large breast and accentuated hips that it was difficult to accept that she was already a mother. Her expression was flustered, having a hard time staying focused. 

'Why does my mind always keep thinking about that young man! I can't stop thinking about him. He's at least the same age as my daughter! I really need to find a man soon or I'll go crazy.'

This woman was Jiang Mei being affected by the Xiao Shen system imprinting his image into her mind and heart, unable to contain it without finally giving in. 

"Meir'er!?"

Her thoughts were interrupted when he spotted a woman who exuded a deep professionalism and allure that men might submit themselves to her wearing an office worker outfit and glasses. 

"To think you have something so deep in your mind you haven't noticed me."

"It's nothing, Fei'er. Just stressed with work."

The woman, Xun Fei, raised his eyebrow obviously not believing it was stressed. She was Jiang Mei's secretary and close friend since they were in junior high. 

"You know that I know when you are lying, Mei'er."

He said, making Jiang Mei's body tense up as Xun Fei's eye glinted like a predator when she sensed there was something more to it. 

"Is it a man?"

"N-No, of course not! What drew you to that conclusion?" 

"Oh please, it is so easy to tell. Remember when you started dating your late husband?".

She blushed since Jiang Mei only loved one man and had since lost her ability to date any other men. It is why she had difficult dating because her heart stayed close to her late husband but now things had changed and she's started to feel the same thing as she did with her late Husband, Jiang Tian. 

"I'm serious, I'm just stressed. Anyway, tell me why you are here, Fei'er?"

Jiang Mei tried to compose herself once again, making Xun Fei click her tongue in annoyances. 

"Don't think this is over."

"Achoo!"

Xiao Shen sneezed as he was just chilling and eating his harem while the adorable Xiao Xiao sat on his lap eating her own ball of ramen while they ate. He checked his phone for any messages and found a few of them.

'They actually took the time to tell them that I was in the hospital."

He saw the message from his job who had given him a week of rest when they learned about his situation. Xiao Shen decided to quit his job since money was not an issue anymore. He decided to file a resignation letter to officially quit his job and focus on trying to start his journey.  

Xiao Shen thought of starting his own business later down the line but put it aside for now and decided to take things one at a time.

'Best if I start cultivating as soon as possible.'

After a while he finished eating and took Xiao Xiao out from his lap to clean his bowl along with hers. 

[ That meal was amazing, Master! ]

"Glad you like it. I'm not the best at cooking but I do try to improve my skill." 

He smiled before finishing cleaning up the plates and joined Xiao Xiao watching the show. After a while, Xiao Shen went to bed and Xiao Xiao decided to snuggle. He didn't mind and found it comforting. 

"Ah right, Xiao Xiao if I were to head to that world where will I end up and when I return to earth?"

[ Oh, you can set a set up Temporary and permanent marker. ]

'And those are?"

[ Temporary is where you open the portal to the other world and end up in that place again while permanent is where you can return any time. ]

'I see, is it the same for those world's

[ Of course, Master. ]

Xiao Shen nodded and felt satisfied with her answer. 

[ Alright that's enough for today. Goodnight, Master ]

"Goodnight, Xiao Xiao."

Xiao Shen said as he slowly fell asleep. There were too many things that happened that he needed the rest.

The next day, Xiao Shen woke up and immediately went into the bathroom to wash himself up. 

'Xiao Xiao, what do you think I should do today?'

Xiao Shen asked where the little Ai appeared before his eyes flying around like a pixie. 

[ You have a Gacha ticket. I recommend rolling it. ]

He nodded, opening up the panel for the [ Gacha ] finding it was similar to a slot machine that was found in a casino. Xiao Shen had horrible luck when it came to this kind of thing and he hoped that it already changed.

Xiao Shen was a bit surprised that he got more tickets than he anticipated since he expected to have trash items.

[ Congratulations, Master! ]

'Thanks, Xiao Xiao. Anyway, can you roll them for me.'
