Unknown rewards

Everything got taken care of, so I slowly made my way to Bruce/father. I stayed transformed during the process to make the search faster, plus. I would have to show it to him sooner or later...

I then slowed my perception once more. Speeding up, I glazed through all the rooms. The police were going to be here soon, so the thugs would be taken care of. By the time I reached the 13th room, I saw Bruce panting heavily, but he was fine, however he needed help quickly.

As soon as his mind registered what was happening, the door was already open. He looked at me, puzzled, which was understandable...

I never revealed that I had a transformation to him before, but such is life.

"No... Jin?" Bruce said, shocked at what he was seeing.

"Yes... it's me... we don't have time left here... the cops are going to arrive soon and I don't think I can keep my sanity enough for that to happen..."

He reluctantly agreed, but it was clear he was going to want explanations after this whole situation was cleared up...

I picked him up and carried him up on my back, using moderate speeds that a human can handle. Quickly running towards the bat-mobile. I placed him in the vehicle.

"What are you doing, Jin?... we need to leave."

I looked at him before responding.

"I know... but the joker might still be in there somewhere. I can't just let him get away with all this..."

Bruce thought for a moment before responding.

"He's most likely already gone. The joker always has plans within plans... He's the only villain that can 'almost' outplay me in raw strategy, Jin..."

Jin looked at Bruce as if he was a madman... he knew the joker wasn't dumb, far from it actually, but this version of joker can potentially outsmart this version of Bruce?... This is clearly not the normal version of Joker in any DC verse. Very few iterations had a joker that was ever this calculating... and that was bad... extremely bad...

Jin simply nodded and accepted the logic. He didn't have info on this joker at all, only small stories brought up after Bruce's missions. That was it, which meant that he had to study this version more...

"Okay... I'll come..." Jin said reluctantly.

Jin hopped into the vehicle. Bruce then clicked a few buttons and flipped a few switches, leaving the car to start auto driving the way home...

Minutes passed without any of us saying anything. Until Father broke the silence...

"...When were you going to tell me?..." Bruce said pensively.

"..."

"I wasn't going to... but things changed... You were in danger as well as multiple other people... I had little to no choice..." Jin responded calmly, slowly morphing out of his 'ZET' state...

"*Sighs* You could have gotten hurt Jin... I dont know what I would do if something bad happened to you." He said, taking off his mask, staring ahead with a serious yet saddened expression...

"What you did tonight was incredibly foolish... but, it was heroic... I respect that. You saved not only me, but others, and I can't take that away from you." Bruce said, turning towards Jin, smiling a bit.

"I'm proud of you... Jin. You are like the son I never had... biologically, that is."

JIn smiled, then deadpanned. Punching Bruce lightly, receiving a small grunt of pain from the taller man instead.

"Way to ruin the moment, father." Jin said, chuckling.

"*Chuckling* But... if you think this brief moment of ours is going to make you get out of explaining this form of yours to me, then you are sadly mistaken, young man," Bruce said, looking at Jin semi seriously.

Jin smiled and said nothing more, but he knew that this would be troublesome...

'Tonight's going to be VERY, long...'

'Nova... you might regret giving the energy manipulation to me... My mind tends to go a bit... crazy at times...' Jin thought and smiled creepily in his mind. His power set was essentially infinite now...
