Really love this story. Good detail. Character isn't too op from the very beginning and author explains why. No plot holes so far and chapters are long enough to enjoy but not too long that i get bored of the over explanation. Only around 40 chapters as of thus post but I think it's one of the best of it's genre!
story is engaging withought being forced and where as the mc comes across as op due to his friends it feels rather balanced all in all a good read so far that i highly recommend... but due to its combat orientated storyline i reccomend watching toriko over hunterxhunter as toriko and komatsus frendship progression feels alot closer to the characters than gon and killuas
This novel is worth picking up! Definitely not your basic gaming novel you are use to reading because MC actually have useful people to in his team. The author really takes his time in describing the world setting, the story is smooth to read, the plot is organize as well as making sense, and the pacing or growth of the MC is steady however he will grow stronger due to his gaming experiences. So far no romance but there are love interest.
So i haven't gotten too far into the story but I thought i would show my support. The story is a little bit slow at the beginning "although I should probably mention I might be corrupted by the crappy power trip fan-fics" the main character is interesting, I don't understand some of his choices but i believe that's because of my lack of understanding, the side characters are capable of making contributions and have personality, the humor isn't cringy and painful to read it's actually funny, so far that's all i've been able to glean from the story, it's definitely a good idea to try it out
This as been a refreshing change in the second chance, litrpg genre. Most of the other ones have been laced with fantasy and gods, but from what i have read so far, (up to ch.22). The way our MC has been transported back in time is a mystery to us. This has a great effect on the stories development so far because unlike other second chances our MC does not know how he travelled back in time and he is actively investigating what happened and if there are others like him. All while grinding exp, loot, and adventure to reach the peak again and stay there this time. Can’t wait to see where this story is going.
So far, the storyline and the plot are good. Rather than the usual betrayed or lone player in his past alternate future, he was a social guy with friends and a lover. It’s also unique in game, especially with many ‘features’ that may be considered bugs in other games, such as golden eyes anyone can change at the start in character customization which gives them the status of noble. The reaction of the Mc also seemed very realistic, rather than the over-reaction or bland reactions of other game novels. All in all, the novel so far imo is good with a stable pace. I once thought this would be another generic story, but you changed my mind.
Sword Emperor shows the world of video gaming, the story starts with the MC reflecting on his past, then continues with the MC being taken back to the VR "AOG" where there is a potential chance of the MC redeeming himself and probably gaining back past decade spent trapped in the illusory world of AOG.
Boring novel, the MC comes off as an obsessive compulsive that has nothing better to do. He has no great big grudge or ambition to give reason for doing what he does...other than psychological addiction to gaming. He just can't convince me that playing video games is important, which makes everything seem meaningless and have no stakes. All the other MMORPG novels gives some reason why gaming is important, and what he does in game will somehow impact the real world. The flaw of this novel is lack of understanding of this particular sub-genre.
