Chapter-8 : A Lot Of Things Happen

Well, I forgot to mention this before, but alot had happened in the world in the past two years.

Economy of the land of fire was dwindled by the fact that the 4th hokage, the yellow flash of the leaf, had died protecting the village from an overgrown fox.

The other thing was that the destruction caused was so great that it would take almost ten years for the economy to fully recover to what it was before.

I mean take US for example, the twin towers were enough to crash the economy big time, imagine what would happen if half of the New York was left in ruins while the other half barely hanging for dear life??

That was what this situation was, and sure enough, it had already caused billions of Ryo in losses, number of high level combatants had decreased by 30%.

Other lands took advantage of the fact and wanted to go on another war, only Father and his ministers knew how much money had to be thrown around to prevent such outcome.

Konoha wasn't just the ninja capital of the nation, it was also the business capital, and it being destroyed like this had some serious repercussions, not taking into the fact that their was loss of a hokage tier combatant.

They were literally what kept other four nations from going to war.

Keeping that aside, naruto and all of the characters were born in the past years, I did see the invitation letter to their naming ceremony on father's desk.

Hiruzen Sarutobi was appointed as the Hokage of the Konoha again despite the relentless tries of Danzo to manipulate father.

This Universe of naruto made more sense than the one shown in the manga and anime, one does not become leader of a nation without being able to understand politics, especially the kind Danzo was pulling.

In the show, Daimyo was showcased as a low IQ person that was easily influenced by his feelings and others' opinions, while here, it could not be more false.

Alongside this, the slaughter of the mist village had started this year, even though it was happening very slowly, and a full out conflict hadn't started yet, the mist of war had intensified over there.

In 3 years tops, a full blown civil war would break out there, other than that, the news from the mist also said that Zabuza Momochi had graduated from the blood mist academy, killing everyone else, even his teacher there.

Everyone had high hopes for him, Zabuza was considered one of the greatest talents mist had produced till now, and all of this is before he even got his hands on one of the seven legendary blades.

Even I was curious how things would unfold over there.

And the last main event that happened quite recently was Orochimaru's betrayal of the village.

It was more like Orochimaru had decided to leave the village but due to the nature of his experiments, his slippery attitude, and his animosity against Hiruzen, his leaving the village was used as a propaganda.

Due to their misstep, the nature of Orochimaru's experiments had gotten out and 'somehow' reached the general populace.

They couldn't possibly accept the fact that they were the ones who made Orochimaru do all those experiments.

Since the cat was out of the bag, they decided to blame everything on him and kick him out of the village.

Orochimaru didn't take kindly to that gesture as he faught out this matter with Sarutobi and Jiraya, injuring both of them in the process.

Now that he had attacked the hokage, they used it as an act of betrayal, keeping themselves away from the mess.

This was the reason why Orochimaru beared so much hatred towards Sarutobi.

From a well respected powerhouse of the konoha, a genius scientist, an accomplished man and probably the next hokage, he went to being marked as an evil person, his reputation destroyed, his research in ruins and his resources taken away from him.

And that 'somehow' was definitely Danzo, it was a clever move, he knew that the chances of Orochimaru becoming hokage were pretty high, so he directly eliminated his competition, while getting chances of future partnership with Orochimaru, secret from everyone else.

Danzo was a political genius of this world, but the politics of my previous world was much worse, his level in my previous world would only be comparable to an amateur politician.

Ninjas are only good at fighting I guess
