Chapter-7 : The Fire And Furious

So, what happened last night was unfortunate. Mom hear my little conversation with father and that kinda happened.

I knew this was gonna happen someday, aunt shizuka became pregnant after all.

Father tried to hide it, and was quite successful at that, but made a little mistake as well, which he had to pay for last night.

Well, I don't blame him, in this world, polygamy was a thing, especially for nobles, never mind the Daimyo himself.

Actually, he was better than other ones because all the other Daimyo's had 5 wives at least.

Still, hiding the matter from mom had cost him dearly.

I just sat in the corner as I saw the drama unfold.

At least in this world, nobles and Daimyo's were men of ethic and culture, not what was usually portrayed in animes and mangas.

Though they lived lavishly, spent without a care, they did their jobs quite perfectly every time, maintaining the economy, the resources and the people in a perfect balance along with the handling of ninjas.

Without a Daimyo and his council of ministers, economy of the whole land would die faster than batman's parents. Ninjas won't be able to do shit because they don't know shit about economy, they would never even try to learn it.

The only thing ninjas were good at was fighting, they still had to depend on Daimyo to maintain the economy.

Oh, yess, the drama unfolded as my mother said "You are going to officially marry her and accept her as your wife, you took her maidenhood and made her pregnant, I don't want your child to be considered a bastard"

Father finally regained some hope in his eyes as he looked towards aunt Shizuka.

The pink haired lady had an expression of shock and tears of happiness in her eyes.

Mom just looked at my father as if trying to fry him with gaze and said "Don't worry Shizuka, I'll handle him, you just remain happy and keep yourself and the baby healthy, I'll see the rest"

Guess that puts the nail in the wall for us, as for why she accepted her husband marrying another women?? Common sense, the common sense of this world said that a man had at least two wives in his life, since that was the case, it wasn't much of a surprise for mom, the thing that angered her was the fact that father tried to hide this thing from her.

"Toro, come over here" mom said as she gestured me for the same.

"Meet Shizuka, your new mother, address her like me, OK?" She said.

I just nodded like a woodpecker and turned towards aunt Shizuka as I bowed a little and greeted her with full respect.

She looked like she was having a hard time digesting the fact that this was happening to her.

I moved forward as I just tried to hug her with my small arms reaching around her belly as I said "I want a little sister, nothing else will do"

She just slowly brang her hand towards my head and caressed it carefully, still thinking all of this was a dream.

What happened next was what I was waiting for.

"Don't worry little Toro, I would ask the twelve to teach you personally in secret, no one can stop you from achieving your dream. And as for him" said my mom pointing towards my father.

"I'll handle him, you go study maths for your class, make sure to learn everything." for the first time in this life, he deliberately sent me away.

Father was in some real deep shít.
