Painful memory

-Time-skip 4 years-

-Rei P.O.V-

(A/N- will now write most of the story in Rei's POV as I have just realised how much easier it is)

These years of my life went by as an absolute bless, my mother loved me to death and spent most of her time with me. We were literally inseparable, until recently I found out that she was pregnant. Don't get me wrong, I was overjoyed, I really was. I always did want a younger brother but... not at this price. I knew that she would die giving birth to him, and as I was currently holed up in my room, I heard a sound deep inside my head.

<First Mission: make sure your mom passes away peacefully>

Description: Be by your moms side and support her to the end.

Rewards: 3 gacha tickets.

Failure: Mother of host does not have a peaceful passing.

My mind dropped after I heard this, tears streaming down my face and my throat became dry as my chest was caving in. I cried for hours until I decided to get up, grit my teeth and make sure that the next 9 months of my mom's life would be unforgettable for her.

The first 7 months were fun and I tended to her every needs, making her slightly suspicious but shrugged it off at the fact that I became caring because she was pregnant. The last two months were an absolute hell. My mother was very weak and stayed in bed the entire time, with me by her side. I never left her side of the bed, and so my dad became worried but he couldn't bear to separate me from her.

On the day that she gave birth to Raku, my younger brother, she called for me as I couldn't be present during the childbirth.

Mother: "Come closer honey...l-let m-me take a b-better look at you.." She was completely depleted of all of her strength, and her hand was shaking as she tried to reach me with it. I quickly clutched it with both of my hands, refusing to let go, and an endless flood of tears pouring down my face.

Mother: "Don't worry honey...I'm just going..to..a better place...ok?" She let out her last breath as the sentence came out of her lungs. I was left paralysed until....

*AAARGHHHHH* I screamed at the top of my lungs, my father in the room with one hand tightly on my shoulder, the other hanging beside him as his face was pointed dead at the ground....tears falling from his eyes as well.

In that despair, a sound rang deep inside my head with what couldn't be a worse timing...

*Ding*<Quest completed, rewards are being issued> a robotic voice in my head.

< 3 lottery tickets acquired > The voice rang again in my head but I decided to ignore it... I mean I was just to broken into pieces at the moment to care about my surroundings.

-Time-skip 2 weeks-

I finally got over my mom's death, being an ex-soldier helped a lot because I was used to death...but...my current age did impact me quite a bit as well.

Rei: *Hold up, I have those tickets right?* and after that thought the same robotic voice rang inside my head.

<Does user wish to utilise the 3 lottery tickets?>

Rei: *yes*

<Confirmed.....Lottery tickets being used...loading 25%.....64%....*ding*>

<User has gained the following: World-Class Piano Playing Skills, World-Class Singing skills,Grand-Master Krav Maga skills>

After the voice finished, a huge amount of information flooded my brain, causing my to fall to the ground in pain. After waking up and checking the time, I found out that I passed out for two hours. The first one I decided to test was the Krav Maga skills, so walking around my fathers mansion I come to the sparring room that the Yakuza use. I'm still only four years old so I know that the only way to test my mastery would be through understanding and technique. I lunge at the training dummy and was left dumbfounded by the series of perfect moves I was doing. But, since it was a self-defence type of martial art, I knew it only shines when the opponent attacks first, so I decided to let it be for now.

Next, I decided to test my Piano skills, and seeing that there was no piano available inside the house, I rushed to my dads office.

Rei with currently puppy dog eyes: "Daddy, can I have a piano? Please? Please? I promise I'll practice everyday!"*damn these eyes are some dangerous weapons* Rei thought to himself.

Issei: "*ahem* Sure Rei, anything for you. RYU!! Get your ass over here! Now! Rei wants a piano, so get him the best one you can find!" My father shouted at the tattooed man.

Ryu: "Yes Issei-san! I will make sure it will be here in less than 5 hours!" He bowed, at a perfect 90 degree angle.

Issei: "Make that 3! Now Rei, are you satisfied?" My dad asked, gazing softly at me.

Rei: "Thanks dad! You're the best!" I hug his leg tightly as his eyes soften even more.

I then figured I had some time before the piano arrives, so I might as well check out my current mission. I received one at my mother's funeral, but decided not to check it.

<Current Mission: Spoil Little Raku

-Mission description: Make sure that Raku has a great childhood, for the next 3 years before you start primary school

-Mission rewards: 3 lottery tickets

-Mission failure: Raku considers you a bad older brother>

I'm actually not too worried about this one, as I find Raku super cute, and I'm sure that I'll turn out to be sort of an overprotective older brother.*Free lottery tickets it is I guess*.(A/N whenever I write something with * it just means that the person is thinking)
