Chapter 33: New Members Again
After my spectacular massacre, it was finally time for Rou to face his opponents. He got set up to fight a beautiful woman welding a Kanata and a muscle-bound man. The man's name is Liger Bazette, known as the gladiator king. In contrast, the woman is named Sumeragi Kaede, a samurai. As for his last opponent was Jader Wyvern, with dark blackish-green scales. It was taking four strong men everything they had just barely to hold it down. Finally, it was time for them to announce Rou's entry. When he entered the stadium, the Wyvern broke out free of its restraints. Once free, it directly charged toward Rou, causing everyone to freak out.
However, I knew he would be fine when facing such a low attack level. Then, as if to prove me right, he casually swung his weapon, creating a water blade. The blade sliced right through the Wyvern, continuing towards Liger. Luckily, he barely managed to block the attack, and immediately after, the fight went into full swing. Mere minutes later, Rou defeated, threatened, and recruited them. After getting a yes, he started to cook up the Wyvern in the area. The kids quickly joined him while I was only a step behind. A happy atmosphere filled the air as we had a great time. Strangely enough, while we were eating, the female samurai kept glancing at me. Her expression differed from what she showed my brother, but I decided to ignore it for now. Seriously, every woman who sees me always seems to go into heat or something. Done with our welcome party, my brother asked female samurai to talk alone, so of course, I tagged along.
Apparently, he noticed how nervous he made her; thus, Rou had me here. Strangely, it worked, which made me ask what is the difference between us. I know that after my evolution, a strange, charming aura appeared on me. Still, I never thought it would be this strong, but I digress. Once alone, I asked about the [foreigners] like herself. Basically, she explained how they ended up here as well as where their zone abilities come from. They talked for a while before my brother left the two of us alone. When I turned to go myself, she called out to stop me.
Female Samurai: Excuse me, sir. I would like to apologize if I am staring at you too much. For some reason, I can't help but find you extremely attractive. Of course, I do not expect you to get into a relationship with me. However, I felt I must at least put it out there.
Done talking, the female samurai walked away, leaving me confused. As I stood there, my mind couldn't help but wonder how effective my charm was. For now, I just push that thought to the back of my mind. Walking back, I decided to take a quick look around. The festival was jumping with excitement that was filling the crowd. With nothing better to do, I went about trying some food. It was pretty good, considering I had eaten a delicacy like Wyvern meat earlier. I walked around a bit longer before returning to play with my kids. The night was peaceful, so I spent a little more time meditating.
Since I was meditating, it also felt like a good idea to pick up a new martial soul. After seeing my brother in the arena, I understood the need for more control skills. I also could use some extra mobility skills. Patiently reading through the available options, I found what I sought.

Early the next day, I woke to try out my new Martial Souls. The first one I tried out was the Evil Fire Phoenix. Immediately, I felt my body grow hotter as a pair of purple flame wings appeared behind my back. When my wings appeared, an overwhelming desire to rampage filled my heart. Luckily, I was already prepared, thanks to the soul's description.

Another reason I picked this martial soul because it could evolve, making it cheaper than buying a regular Phoenix soul. Still, it is a bit difficult to control my impulses, so this guy is best used in solo fights. After about five minutes, I retracted my wings and summoned a transparent blue crystal-like vine. This martial soul was different from my others because it was perfect for controlling my enemies. If you add my spirit eyes to the mix, it was even better.
Princess Tomboy:Wow, so you can even control plants.
Houjin:Of course, besides my brother, no one can do something I can't.
While I was bragging Apporou was staring at me in thought probably thinking about how to maximize my new powers. Finally he gave me a smile that I was all too happy to see.
Apporou:Well then little brother shall we do the usual then.
Houjin:Of course nothing would make me happier.
Next thing we found ourselves facing each on the knights training field. We decided to hold back a little so no weapons allowed but skills were free game. Right now I am using the Blue Silver Emperor. We both waited for the princess to announce the start of our spar. Once her hand came down my brother already kicked off the ground and was charging toward me.
