FIRST YEAR
Opening the door came the big shots of class.
The people who entered were the true Main characters of the class.
The first one to enter was Jimmy Horten, one of the top 10 talents in the academy with a 8 star potential.
If I compare this situation to a novel than he would be the antagonist. He is the second son of Horten family, he has a older brother Mars Horten who is 20 years old and has 9 star potential, he had already reached 7 star and is considered the greatest genius of our empire.
The next to enter was Sam, a ordinary commoner boy with a typical MC background story; that is that he is a orphan and comes from a commoner background with 10 star potential. With a amazing potential and exceptionally handsome face that is comparable to mine he is the top 1 student of the academy.
Behind him one by one entered 3 girls who are also the main characters.
The first one to enter was a girls with golden hair and bright skin with a little above average looks. She was another top student with 8 star potential, she would have been of no importance to me if not for her name which was 'Anna Trion'. The nemesis of our family who colluded with the Horten family to accuse us. I don't hate her since she wasn't the one responsible for the actions of trion family against our family in past but I definitely don't like her.
The second girl to enter was Cassandra Campbell, the young lady of Campbell duchy. She has 8 star potential and would be counted as one of the most beautiful girl in the academy. With perfect looks, high potential and strong background she would have been the perfect idol if not for her cold personality and the girl who entered next.
The next girl to enter was Karina Spencer, she was the only daughter of the Guild-Master of Adventurer's Guild. He is also the only 10 star among the humans. His influence reaches the whole continent as all the races are part of Adventurer's Guild. If not for the fact that Spencer family originated from the Stark Empire, she would have never attended the Royal Academy of Stark Empire. She has the most beautiful looks in the entire academy with a 9 star potential. With her kind personality to boost she was the idol of not only boys but also girls.
Well they had nothing to do to with Charles as he waas not even in the same league as them so he just ignored them and waited for the teacher to arrive. A few moments later the teacher entered the classroom and contradictory to Charles's expectations of a beautiful young female teacher like in novels, the teacher who entered was a old elder who appeared to be in his late sixties with white hair.
Although he looked old, his body was still full of vigor, he was standing straight without leaning on any kind of support.
The old man was the vice- principal of the academy. It seemed like he had been specially assigned to this class for next five years because of Sam, the only person with 10 star potential in the Empire.
The old man first gave us introduction about what we will be doing in the next five years. It seemed that for the first year there will be no practical classes. And only a few weapons training class.
The first year was for theoratical classes about Mana, human Anatomy, Mana veins and various other things while the rest of the time will be used to improve cultivation.
The Combat classes will start from second year along with practical classes with less theoratical classes. More information will be given in future, at least that's what they were told.
It seemed like first year was just an extra year to let students who come with commoner background to acquaint themselves with Mana and Cultivation and to also root out the weed before official start of the academy which is the second year.
The elder gave everyone a {C}grade Cultivation technique with a target of peak 1 star before the starting of second year.
Truthfully for commoners who have no idea about cultivation, to breakthrough to peak 1 star within a year was difficult. This was Academy's trick to root out the weeds.
Before the start of second year there will be only about a 1000 students left which is much less than the current nearly 2500 students.
But well, Charles didn't have to worry about that as we already peak 1 star cultivator and will soon breakthrough into 2 star.

The Academy later continued for a whole year but since the focus of first year was mainly theoratical knowledge and cultivation not many noble students attended.
Except for Sam all the Main Characters were absent for almost whole year. As they had enough resources they had hired personal tutors and were already knowledgeable about the classes of first year students even before coming to academy.
I didn't leave this chance and befriended Sam pretty easily during this year with the context of helping him in the cultivation.
During this year Sam got lucky and became the personal disciple of vice-principal and obtained a {SS} grade cultivation technique further enhancing his speed.
With his high potential and talent and high grade cultivation technique he was able to breakthrough to peak 2 star by the end of first year.
But it wasn't like i was wasting my time either I too was at the peak of 2 star by the end of the year. I also learnt various important things during the classes which weren't in the memories of original Charles.
I found out that I am actually pretty good in studies and have a talent for it. I always used to think that I don't have academic talent but it turned out I was wrong.
Well I left school while I was still in middle school and even during my school time, because of constant beating and overwork from orphanage I was never able to study so maybe my academic talent was never able to sprout.
I leaned various things during my year in the academy. Ignoring the subjects like magic engineering and enchanting which are never going to be of any use to me.
The things worth remembering and knowing were -
1) There is a mana core inside our body which is located at chest area which is the source of Mana inside our body and it's also the core that represents our cultivation.
2) The mana core is actually full of impurities and is totally black in colour when a person is born. Because it's full of impurities cannot store Mana hence people who Don't cultivate and new borns are ordinary people without any cultivation.
3) The so called Cultivation is just about removing impurities inside the Mana Core so it can store larger, purer and denser amounts of Mana. There are total 10 layers of impurities hence 10 stars of cultivation.
4) Each star of cultivation represents how many layers of impurities have been removed by us. For ex: Since I am a peak 2 star that means I have removed 2 layers of impurities out of 10. And these stages like Early, middle and Peak shows the sub-layers between 10 main layers of impurities.
5) The body of people of this world also have something called Mana veins which flow underneath our Blood veins and are much smaller in size as compared to blood veins. The Mana core acts like a heart for Mana veins , the Mana veins are spread throughout the body and are connected to Blood veins at some points but doesn't let the Blood come inside the Mana veins.
6) To remove the impurities one has to use a Cultivation technique to take Mana from Air to inside our body to directly to Mana core and push the impurities out using the Mana core.
7) The potential also depends on the size of Mana veins. If the veins are wider than they can carry more Mana in each circulation and have better chances at removing the impurities. The crystal ball also measures the width of our Mana veins to determine our potential.
I didn't attended the magic classes as I didn't had the potential to become a mage.
I also perfected my swordsmanship and incorporated my Mana and my swordsmanship together and attained Intermediate mastery in swordsmanship.
I found out that warriors can incorporate Aura and elemental power to their martial arts and weapons art to make it more powerful.
Aura is like a more profound version of Mana, it is like a life force or life energy that every being has but unlike Mana it cannot be obtained through any techniques and can be only acquired through practice and training.
Whereas elemental power is the power of various elements that come together to make up the Mana. These elements are ( Fire, water, air, ground, lightning, darkness, light and space )
Although I cannot use the power of elements externally because I am not a mage. I can do some basic stuff with elements internally or with direct contact.
For example - Let's say fire element of Mana, Since I am not a mage I cannot make fireballs and complex spells like hellfire and fire rain but simple stuff like covering my hand in fire or covering my sword in fire while it's directly touching my skin is not a problem. Of course I can't cover my hand or sword in dark fire or hellfire because that's too complex requires high elemental Control which can only be done by a mage.
With all this the first year came to an end and the start of second year began.
