Ravenclaw of Hogwarts (HP)

Mike, formerly a career criminal, is reborn as a Muggle-born orphan in the Harry Potter world, focused on gaining power. With strategic cunning, he seeks allies and doesn't shy away from crossing moral lines for the "greater good." This tale explores a quest for power and societal change, presenting a gritty view of justice in a magical setting. Mike's journey, characterized by ruthless ambition and a merciless approach, also hints at the possibility of finding unexpected friendships along the way. "Don't call me Chen Ergou" is the author of this book. I'm just translating it and more importantly trying to make this story more "palatable" for an English audience. That means I will get rid of some of the darker and unnecessary undertones that many Chinese writers have - if you know what I mean. Also, I will be changing many of the more Chinese phrases (not all) around so that they are more understandable for us Westerners :) I plan to keep this translation going, especially if I receive help. I hope doing this will help me better my books in the future if I ever get the nerve to post them. My Patreon---- patreon.com/Lovetoread813 I will write a better synopsis soon. It should be noted that the MC is not a very good person.

Apologies, I completely understand how it feels to receive a message like this and think, "Oh no, not another unfinished Harry Potter fanfic, and just when it was getting good, the writer suddenly stops."

When I first decided to translate this, I jumped ahead —about 75% through the book of 640 chapters—and read a few chapters around that section. My immediate reaction was, "Whoa, this is great!" However, trying to write to that point has been a struggle. I've had to sift through the author's digressions on politics, his views on women, and his racially charged comments, all while trying to make the text engaging. Furthermore, the characters sometimes act so out of character that it detracts from my enjoyment of the book. After pushing through to chapter 110 and skimming other chapters that seemed interesting, I've realized I just can't continue.

If anyone wants to pick up where I left off, feel free to use anything I've translated. I'm sorry this is yet another fanfic that's ending prematurely. As someone who has read hundreds of fanfics(perhaps thousands?), I know how disappointing it can be when one ends too soon. I started this project to motivate myself to begin writing, and it has worked to some extent—I've begun writing my own fanfictions. I plan to start posting my work once I reach 75,000 words or so and feel confident that I'm not boxing myself in.

I really did intend to translate this entire thing, but it just hurts my brain. Sorry

Best of luck to all of you, and now I'm off to find another fanfic to dive into. Peace.
