Damian, Gustavo's brother

"This is Vee, the second white head" the boy who had finally introduced himself as Brown said while pointing at Vee.

Jerod and Herod said hi to Vee and Vee nodded back without saying anything.

Turned out that everyone had been introduced to the two by Brown, even the stiff Milan wasn't spared; well, he was only stiff to people who wanted to get close to Torie anyway.

"Alright, that's enough introduction. Let's go in already" Gustavo said and was about to go in when the sound of the splitting wind came from the sky, everyone quickly turned to look at the sky as a huge shadow suddenly appeared above them.

"What the…"

Someone stuttered in fearful excitement as all the students in the area stared at the huge beast that was swiftly descending from the sky.

The beast had the body of a lizard with a chicken head, it had two large bat-like wings that flapped with great strength as it flew down from the sky. Its body was covered with lavender-colored scales that looked to be as hard as rock and a short pointed bone could be seen sticking out from the end of its tail.

Of course, the students were only able to see these features well when the beast was close to the ground and its powerful pressure could be felt.

"A magic beast!" Alex's eyes trembled as he stared at the beast that had landed close to them.

The beast was so huge that Alex had to bend his neck completely just to see its head.

Not only Alex, Brown, and the others were also petrified by fear and the ferocious aura that the beast possessed.

"A…a magic beast managed to enter the academy?"

"Is it going to attack us?"

Helen managed to squeeze out some line in a thin voice as she stared at the hard scales on the body of the beast.

Were they going to die like this? They had yet to even learn how to use spells but already had to face such a fearsome beast? How were they supposed to survive?!

Vee, on the other hand, had a look of disdain on his face.

'Tks! These bunch of flowers, scared half to death by an ordinary common class magic beast. Kids in my days used to play with beasts like this one' he snorted inwardly but did not say anything as he did not want to give himself out because it would be strange if he remained nonchalant when other kids were on the verge of peeing themselves.

Well, not everyone though. Gustavo, Milan, and Torie had calm looks on their faces as they stared at the huge beast. Unlike other kids who had turned pale, they only had expressions of admiration and longing when they looked at the beast.

'Hmm? Seems like this isn't their first experience with magic beasts' Vee added in his thoughts and realized that so must be the case. After all, these three clearly did not look like kids from ordinary backgrounds so it should not be strange for them to have come in contact with such magic beasts or even of a higher level of strength.

"Hey, there's someone on top of it!" A student who was standing quite a distance from the beast suddenly yelled and at the same time, a light laugh came from on top of the beast as a figure jumped off its back and landed in front of Alex and the others.

It was a youth in a uniform similar to Vee and the others, the difference being that his own uniform was moss color while Vee's uniform and the others wore blue uniform. This showed that they were not in the same year.

'Hmm, a Noble rank mage with a tamed common class magic beast, this lad isn't half bad' Vee commented but still kept his fearful expression.

"Hahahaha, look at you all. Your expressions are priceless" The youth in moss uniform laughed heartily as he patted Gustavo's shoulder.

Taking a closer look, one could see that the two had similar hair colors though, of different lengths, their facial features were also a bit similar.

It went without saying that this person was related to Gustavo.

The youth turned and patted the beast's scale.

"You can return, I'll look for you when I want to return," the youth said to the beast as if it could understand human language.

Surprisingly, the beast's huge chicken head bent forward and it stared at the youth's face before spreading its bat wings and soaring into the sky; its flying speed was so fast that it vanished from sight in a matter of seconds.

"Must you always make a grand entrance? See what you've caused, you scared my friends" Gustavo glared at the youth with short golden hair and said unhappily.

The youth only smirked in response as he strolled over to Gustavo's side.

"Come on, really? I haven't seen you for over a year and this is what I get for coming to see you? Not even a warm greeting for your elder brother?" The youth complained with a wronged expression on his face, but one could tell that he was faking it because of the smirk that was still glued to his face and his hand that was ruffling Gustavo's hair.

"Hmph! No wonder Dad gave you the rooster dragon, I'll catch up to you soon" Gustavo slapped his hand away and walked into the cafeteria, leaving his brother and the others behind.

"Hehe, it's still the best to tease Vee (Gustavo), so fun" the youth chuckled before looking in the direction of Vee and the others.

"Oh, it's Milan and Torie. Just a year and you two have changed so much! Come, come, introduce me to the rest of your friends" the youth said cheerfully.

Alex was shocked to see Milan being so friendly towards this youth even when the guy would pat Torie on the hair every now and then, saying she had gotten cuter than a year ago.
