AmberFullMoon
Race With a Heart is an interesting book with very interesting characters. It seems that AmberFullMoon knows psychology, because her characters do not go through difficult experiences unscathed, they carry them in their hearts and remember them, and this is a feature of all the author's books that I have read. This makes the characters interesting and real, and you really want to root for them and it's great to watch their transformation. I highly recommend her books. Every minute spent with her books is a pleasure.
I know that everyone has their own sensitivity and this book will not suit everyone, but I think it is very interesting and worth reading. I was really moved by Steve's transformation, which the author described in one of the comments as a "redemption arc" and wrote that in order to have something to redeem yourself from, you first have to sin. Truth be told, Steve is not as toxic as the characters in many popular books. He is a bit damaged, but the author not only explains it very well in later chapters but also shows the true power of love. I really like how the characters struggle with their feelings, how their hearts struggle with their minds or with their sense of guilt. This makes her characters more real, multidimensional, flawed, yes, but that makes them really interesting. And if in every romance novel the characters ran away at the sight of a red flag, probably 90% of romance novels would have to cease to exist, along with my beloved "Wuthering Heights".
This book impressed me a lot. It is an amazing journey telling the complexity of human nature. Both characters undergo tremendous transformations. They are really good psychological portraits. Martin impressed me with the strength of his heart. The author super explains Steve's inappropriate behavior. When I learned his reasons, I cried. The book is full of emotional twists and turns, and although it is very adventurous in places, reading the whole thing comes together into a coherent whole, where everything is explained superbly. This book should have #hatetolove, because at one point I hated certain characters, and then I began to understand and love them. The book is also very satisfying, but I won't say more to avoid foreshadowing. I recommend this book heartily! I think it's worth getting through the uncomfortable scenes, or skip them (there's a warning at the beginning of the chapter) because as a whole it's a really great story.
Dear Authoress Amber Full moon. I'm a huge fan of your work, this is the fourth book am reading out of all your Novels, but this is first of your Novels that I've completed and I must say I'm really impressed. I have some grievances though. I don't know if you've completed "Race with a heart " but I hope you haven't because I want to know what later happened between syd and dave 😭😔. Also I want to know what Nelson's plan is and why?. Can't wait 😍. Thanks a lot for sharing this story I absolutely love it. As someone who grew a in an environment where gays are seen as something disgusting, I've learnt a lot and my view towards them has changed.
